Walpole Rest Point Caravan Park

We had a powered caravan site. The sites are large enough to accommodate your car and awning. The sites are all grass from what I could see and the amenities are old. The roads are in poor condition as there was and has been a lot of rain. Not sure if this is normal. There is a lovely golf course next door and is right beside the water.

Quick boys trip for a fish and a few drams of whiskey. Great location super easy for boat launch and even got some fish. Cold but glorious. Thanks to the legends Deb and Pete for making it a great stay. Highly recomnend.

This park has the worst water I have ever tasted in our 2 laps of Australia. It borders on being non potable. Unless you can use your own water, do not connect to their water. We used both carbon and then a 1 micron filtration and it still tasted like rusty iron pipes.

We loved staying here while it rained for a large proportion of it it had it's plusses. The bay and surrounds are postcard beautiful. There are lots of kangaroos but it was adjacent to a National Park.

My cousin and I stayed for the weekend and it was perfect! Very central to activities, the accommodation was very clean and had everything we needed and the staff (a special shout out to Jody at reception) were friendly and knowledgeable! One of the highlights is one of the hundreds of dvd's to choose from to cuddle up by the heater and watch at night- another highlight is the incredible view of the lake and waterbirds that inhabit it I'd love to come back!

We stayed in our caravan and our site was great although it rained but it didn’t matter! Beautiful caravan site and gorgeous views! Staff were really lovely, will definitely stay again.

We stayed in a 2 bed cabin. Was big enough and had reverse cycle aircon which worked a treat in the middle of winter. Lots of kangaroos every where. Great for fishing with the family. They are renovating around the cabins so half the park is blocked off. We stayed with friends in 2 cabins which was great but if it were just you and the other cabins were vacant you would feel a bit lonely lol.

Great caravan park had a great deal for winter rates. The sites were a bit soggy as they had alot of rain but the staff were fantastic to try and find us a spot that wasn't to bad. Close to alot of the tourist things, closer toain attractions than staying in Denmark. Toilets, showers were very clean, lots of kangaroos around
