"Walt Disney World's nickname is the Most Magical Place on Earth, but it can quickly become the most frustrating place on Earth if you’re not properly prepared. You can start by reading up on the latest ride reservation system changes or making your restaurant bookings ahead of time, but the most important step, however, is nailing down a comprehensive Disney packing list to make sure you’re ready for anything that comes up, whether it’s blistered heels or a low phone battery." - Erin Cavoto Erin Cavoto Erin Cavoto is a News & Deals Commerce Editor for Travel + Leisure, covering the travel product space. The most magical place on Earth! One of my childhood wishes came true! The only sad thing for me was leaving! It was so hard to look back at the castle 😔 and say farewell, so long, until next time! The wait times for the rides were long, but they were worth it! Our favorite was Tiana's Bayou Adventure! The entire exhibit was surreal!!! Really enjoyed the interactive Monster's Inc comedy show!! It's so much to take in and we spent 12 hours in the park and we still didn't get to experience it all. The Happily Ever After Fireworks 🎆 show did not disappoint!!! It made you believe that dreams do and will come true when you wish upon a star! ✨

I had an amazing time at Disney World Orlando! 🎡🎠 The park usually opens around 8 or 9 AM and stays open until the evening, depending on the day. If you’re staying at a Disney hotel, you get early access, which really helps beat the crowds. One thing I highly recommend is getting the Lightning Lane (Disney’s version of Fast Pass). It’s a paid service, but totally worth it if you don’t want to wait in line for hours. You can book top rides in advance and save a lot of time. ⏰💡 Some of the best attractions for me were Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Space Mountain, TRON, and of course, the fireworks show at the castle – magical! If you’re going to other parks, don’t miss Avatar Flight of Passage and Guardians of the Galaxy. Also, the Starbucks there was one of the prettiest Starbucks I have ever been to! Also, don't forget to buy souvenirs, there are so many options, personally I bought some mugs because it's my favorite 🤩 Overall, Disney was super organized, clean, and fun. It’s not cheap, but if you plan right (and use Lightning Lane), it’s 100% worth it.🎡🎠🎢

Love Disney! It’s pricey but the people are usually friendly and if you plan out your trip, your day can be very productive. Great food, shops and many family memories created!

Google
Recommended completely. All of the parks have amazing rides to offer. I recommend staying in the resorts as well, there are good perks to it. The food at each park is unique and really good. My favorite park had to be Epcot. I absolutely loved seeing Japan. I got a really nice pair of chopsticks there, along with a Legend of Zelda mini backpack. Definitely pricey though. You just have to remind yourself, "It's the brand, not the product" it helps. One of the photos has a picture of us from the Tower of Terror. As you can see. I am the girl who fainted in the back row, hair flopped over my face, in a white shirt 🤣.

Google
Great place if you're wanting to experience Disney. If you go during the summer be prepared to be hot! They don't have as many places to get drinks or refill your cups as some of the other parks. Make sure you bring poncho's because it almost always rains for a bit some time during the day. It's Florida so that's expected. Pack plenty of snacks for the kiddos.

Visiting EPCOT at Walt Disney World was an amazing experience! I loved how the park blended futuristic attractions with different cultures from around the world. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind was definitely a highlight—it was so much fun and full of surprises. Walking through the World Showcase felt like a mini trip around the world, with incredible food and entertainment from different countries. I also enjoyed trying new dishes at the Food & Wine Festival and ending the day with the beautiful nighttime show. EPCOT was a perfect mix of adventure, culture, and great food!

This was my first trip to Disneyland since 1986. I took my daughter and we celebrated my 50th birthday. We went April 6-7. The crowd was great. We used the multi lane pass for a few things. We had so much fun!

Yelp
I never thought I would be writing a negative review about Disney. My bad experience was yesterday with friends and their children, visiting from Puerto Rico for their very first time to Disney. We went yesterday to visit Animal Kingdom and it wasn't that pleasant. I'm not complaining about the length of the lines, but the lack of open attractions and their capacity. Once you pay Disney their $165 ticket you are on your own, at least I felt that way. Disney is trying to convince customers to use the app called "My Disney Experience" for the whole experience and I think is a great idea, but a really bad execution. At least my Disney Experience was terrible. The Pandora attraction was working under limited capacity. The train in Africa was supposed to close at 5 pm, according to the app, but we got there at 4:30 and it was already closed. Then we tried to get into the Himalayan roller coaster and it was closed too, due to a malfunction. Then we tried to go to the Safari and it was closed before 5:30. We basically watched the Pandora and Bugs attractions, because the others weren't open. I'm very upset because I know Disney is better than that. In my opinion Animal Kingdom is the cheapest of all Disney Parks because it lacks attention to details and maintenance than the others have.

Yelp
It is impressive logistics wise how they pull off or don't pull off the service and the rides to the satisfaction of small kids and parents! The long queues 139 minutes wait for a ride that is over after 2 minutes is def not something I will do many times in my life, unless I want to live a short life... However all the personnel working at this location, a huge shout out and hands up for their stamina. They are always smiling and their professionalism is simply outstanding. The rides and different stations just take too much time. And the food selection and taste could be better. You know it is pricey, and on the top you have to get the lightning pass, the memory maker ( good photographers around when I finally could spot them, and they should were a more flashy outfit, so you wouldn't miss them) in addition to all the merchandise. I would have done it again I guess, if the queues were shorter, but that is all due to the different stations and the best firework in the world at the end. There were many people who were tired at the end of the day with small kids that, almost got into a fight because of the congested environment an hour prior to the show. Imagine standing with kids and just be bumped by strollers, backpack by people with no consideration, pushing into an area where people hardly can stand. A lot of bad thing could happen, but luckily it didn't! The management should be careful of letting in so much people, especially because of the aforementioned and a contingency for emergencies could be fatal for that kind of congested environment. The show at the end was Magical and magnificent! But not sure I will risk watching that again.

Yelp
So I did a review of EPCOT, so this will focus on Disney World in general. I do believe that if you're into or have friends who are exposed to Disney, this should be in your bucket list. However I'll also say that if possible, do not go during peak holiday season; it's an absolute gongshow and you won't get the full Disney experience as it'd be way too crowded, expensive, and overall not fun. The Lightning Pass is something where you can pay (a lot) more to skip the lines for most of the rides. Personally I don't recommend it for EPCOT as the only ride worth skipping is Guardians of the Galaxy, and you can't use the general Lightning Pass for that (they have a special one for that ride only). If there's a theme park with more major rides, that's where the Lightning Pass would be worth it. Disney World has in and out privileges, so if you feel overwhelmed by the entire experience, it's nice that you can exit the park, maybe go back to your resort and relax, and come back later. Overall I'd say if you have the ability to visit during off peak periods, I'd do so. It'll save your sanity.

Ron D.

Yelp
You really have to question what kind of management Disney has when there are so many 1 star reviews by people detailing the horrible experiences that they had visiting and not one response by Disney addressing how they plan on rectifying it or at least assuring future visitors won't experience the same horrible service Disney provides. I stopped visiting this park years ago because of the over priced tickets, over sold parks, and the general crappy attitude of park management when a bad experience is had while there. Once your money is in their Pocket, no matter how bad the service, don't expect any refunds. Sad people don't read these reviews before being fleeced by Disney!

Yelp
Pros: Large. With 4 parks (plus their water ones), you could never be bored. Rides galore. The Castle is gorgeous. Everything is here. Cons: Too large. It's so big that it's a bit overwhelming. It's exhausting. You need a vacation from this vacation. Also, rides are so far from one another. You will get your steps in. It's also pricey. Long wait times so I highly recommend getting the Lightning Lane and Multipass - which just makes it pricier. Also, feel the cast members here just ... aren't ... as ... good as Disneyland. I said it. Sorry. They just aren't as friendly. Epcot team and all the restaurant staff were great. Otherwise the rest fell so flat and short. It lost its magic there a bit. I used to be Team Disney World. But I may now be Team Disneyland.

Yelp
My daughter had an amazing 5th birthday at Disney-world!! We did everything she dreamt of. She visited all the princesses. Had dinner at Belle restaurant Be Our guest! She was ecstatic!! Bibbidi bop was also on her wish list. It was so booked that I almost couldn't get her in. I tried to book 3 month in advance. My advice book everything right when windows open up because everything book so quick. The staffs are helpful and welcoming! The place is clean, clean, clean. Be prepared to wait in line. Although, theme parks are not my favorite thing to do. I had a great time seeing my daughter loving this trip. Bring lots of money and tissue to wipe your tears. Pretty expensive trip:( Worth-it all. Now let me go cry I'm broke:((

Yelp
Don't get me wrong I love disney and it is magical but it is not magical when it is oversold and the wait for many attractions is close to 2 hours and O addition to the high cost of tickets they almost force you to buy lightening passes which are a high priced addition for most families. This takes the magic and the fun out of the park. After about 10 visits from Chicago I don't expect to be back again unless they fix it.

Reanna D.

Yelp
Lightning Lane system is broken. Useless and makes the lines longer. They are up charging for busy days but only allowing you to get on one good ride. So you buy your ticket. Add 32 per person lightning lane. If you want to add a top ride. Add $18 to that and your family has even entered the park yet. Also times maybe pushed to the evening and that is within the first few hours of it opening for registration. Yes, it is about the profit. Has anyone noticed their ads stopped saying they care about families. They just keep pushing it is the happiest place on earth. Good luck to them and their failing business strategy.

Yelp
Walt Disney Resort in Orlando, Florida, is straight-up next level, fam. If you ain't been here yet, you're missin' out on the ultimate adventure. First off, the theme parks are off the chain, especially Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom. You feel me? Each park got its own vibe, from the wild rides like Space Mountain and Pirates of the Caribbean to the lit fireworks and parades that straight-up take your breath away. You're living in a whole different world, like you're part of the Disney fam. Now, let's talk about Luke, Han, and Princess Leia. They ain't exactly strolling around the park, fam. You won't find them just hangin' out like you might expect. But the Star Wars experience at Hollywood Studios? That's where it's at. Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge lets you step into the universe like never before. You can fly the Millennium Falcon and experience the world of Star Wars firsthand, but don't expect to bump into the legends themselves. Still, it's as close as you can get, and it's straight fire. The resorts? Man, Disney ain't playin'. Whether you're ballin' out at the Polynesian Village Resort or just chillin' in a budget-friendly spot, every place got that Disney magic. It's not just a stay, it's an experience, bruh. And don't even get me started on the food! Whether you want quick snacks or a sit-down feast with your favorite characters, it's all about that good life. And speaking of good life, Disney takes care of you. Cast Members--yo, they're like your homies, always there with a smile, helping you out. You get that VIP treatment everywhere, and don't forget about early park access. That's how you roll like a boss, no waiting in those crazy lines. I feel so lucky to come to Disney, for real. It's like you're living the dream, surrounded by magic and memories, and it hits different when you're here. Yeah, it's gonna cost you a pretty penny, but trust me, every dollar spent is straight-up worth it for that magic, that adventure, and those dope memories you're gonna make. So get ready to turn up at the most magical place on Earth, where the streets (or theme parks) are filled with magic, legends, and that pure Disney greatness.

Yelp
Bibbidi Boppity Boo!! My visit to the Sunshine State and Walt Disney World was in November 2022. And though I did post individual park reviews last year, I thought it fitting to list my favorites (1 attraction and 1 food item/place) for each of the parks. NOTES 1. Highly recommend downloading the Disney World app on your phone. This will allow you to check park hours, ride times, buy/secure Disney Genie+, and place food mobile orders among other things. The app is your gateway to the studio so to speak. 2. If your budget allows, I'd recommend Genie+ to avoid the long wait times in the traditional standby line. This is an extra cost per day and per person fyi. I personally thought (and after traveling so far) it was well worth the purchase as the lightning lanes are noticeably shorter. 3. Grab a map as it lists the rides and Disney dining options for each section of the park. 4. Those with a park hopper can "hop" to this park after 2:00pm. PARKING 1. I believe it is $25 per car/day. We were able to obtain free/complimentary parking due to being guests at Saratoga Springs Resort. The parking staff is efficient: they will direct you to the appropriate lane and stall in the lot. 2. Make sure to use the "car locator" feature on the Disney World app. It helps honestly. 3. I'd recommend taking the parking shuttle/tram to and from the park entrances. The Walt Disney Resort is comprised of 4 major theme parks: *ANIMAL KINGDOM*: The largest of the 4 parks in terms of acreage; 500 to be exact (thank you, Google). 1. Pandora - The World of Avatar: This entire land is incredible honestly! Very detailed oriented, and much of the landscape made familiar in the movie has been incorporated....into the land itself and rides. LOVED Flight of Passage....thank goodness for Genie+. 2. Nomad Lounge: We had lunch here on our 1st of 2 visits to Animal Kingdom. Make sure to add your name to wait list when they open. It was absolutely worth the wait IMHO (please see my separate review). *EPCOT*: You'll do A LOT of walking in this park, come prepared with comfortable walking shoes. 1. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind: OMG!!! This ride was incredible!! Make sure to enter the virtual queue in the Disney World app to secure your place in line (or, purchase a lighting lane entry). Although lighting lane is available, we just chose to enter the virtual queue, which was fine as there many things to do while waiting for your group to be called. The queue line, as well as the introductory activities/videos for the ride are enjoyable and imaginative. Recommended. 2. Honorable Mention, Frozen Ever After (Located in Norway): This ride was awesome!! I may be biased because I really enjoyed the movie, well really I liked both movies honestly. Let It Go and get in the line for this ride. Journey Into the Unknown in the kingdom of Arendelle and visit Elsa and Anna! In terms of food, the World Showcase is your oyster: MEXICO: Choza De Margarita for Margaritas FRANCE: Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie for desserts ITALY: We dined at Via Napoli for lunch (please see my separate review). *MAGIC KINGDOM*: The land where the Disney Magic is paramount. 1. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad: I was so ecstatic to able to ride this attraction multiple times during our trip! It's such a fun ride honestly. Recommended. 2. Honorable, Mention, Carousel of Progress: Another Disney attraction that is part entertainment and partly educational. Guests will be shown various scenes in which technology and American 3. Be Our Guest Restaurant: A magical dinner at the Beast's castle in the ballroom! (please see my separate review). *HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS* 1. Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance There are no words to truly describe this experience. The standby line wait can get very long, so I'd personally recommend purchasing Genie+ (we did!). This ride is incredible!!! You will thoroughly enjoy it, especially if you are a Star Wars fan! 2. Honorable Mention, Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway: OMG!!!! This ride was so much fun!!! I truly was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. We rode it twice on our first day at Hollywood Studios. It is housed in the Chinese Theater, so its easily noticeable as you enter the park. You will enjoy it! Recommended. 3. Ronto Roasters Order the ronto wrap, it was quite good! And very filling. Recommend doing a mobile order. 4. Honorable Mention, The Hollywood Brown Derby: We stopped by for lunch on a very busy Saturday at the park. Do order the Cobb Salad (please see my separate review). BOTTOM LINE I had such a fun and memorable trip/time at Walt Disney World! It was a lot of planning, coordination, and patience, but it was all worth it in the end. #M

Yelp
Happy New Year, 2024! Here's to a healthy happy New Year filled with many adventures! Starting off my first 2024 Yelp review for Walt Disney World, the most magical place on Earth! Sadly we only get to visit one day due to a very short quick trip to Orlando with a full schedule. Now our travel goal is to visit and stay here longer and be back here longer than just one day! Who does that?! This crazy momma!! DisneyWorld, I've always dreamt of visiting from seeing and hearing about the magic, and truly grateful to be able to even though it is only for one day. To be able to spend this one expensive day together with my big kids, my family, my heart is full. DisneyWorld, is a fantastic world to celebrate any occasion in, There are 4 spectacular theme parks and two water parks, plus amzaing shopping and dining in between all of this. Disney World is super huge that it is divided in to 4 parks : Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, Disney's Animal Kingdom, and 2 water parks : Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and Disney's Blizzard Beach. Since we were there only one day, my big kids and I decided upon one park with and no park hopper. Due to the rainy weather, I've decided to purchaesed our tickets on day of. Luckily tickets weren't sold out and the weather was nice, it rained the next day. We were so lucky! We didn't stay on Disney premises, didn't take shuttle or Uber to the parks. Drove our rental car and parked it for $30. bucks. didn't pay for the premier parking which is actually not closer to the parks. Short walk from parking to the ticket booth, got our 5 tickets pretty quick. The damage for 5 tickets , one park no hopper, with fees $879.00. The are plastic cards not paper, something we can all keep for souvenir. We all picked our favorite character ticket and we are so excited and ready! Security bag check prior to entering. I am so glad that Disney allows us to bring in our drinks, ( non-alcholic of course) and snacks. This was really helpful for us! Don't forget to pack water & snacks, need to stay hydrated waiting in those lines and if you get hungry and shakey, snacks comes in handy, you can get by til you get food at the parks. Don't forget to plan for your Disney attires, for those precious priceless family photo opts. Overall, Yes. one day of DisneyWorld was an expensive trip, but the amazing, happiest & magical moments, the truly grateful moments, family time together all so worth it, we can earn that money again! Nothing last forever so just enjoy those moments! Happy 2024!!

Yelp
Disney World has always been a magical place, but lately, it feels like the magic is slowly fading. It's disappointing to see so many of the classic attractions and elements that made it so special being removed or altered. The prices have also become excessively high, making it harder for families to enjoy everything the park has to offer without breaking the bank. That said, there are still a lot of beautiful and enjoyable rides that make it worth visiting, and the atmosphere remains enchanting in many areas. However, the changes and the rising costs leave a bittersweet feeling, and I can't help but feel that Disney is losing a bit of what made it truly magical.

Britney M.

Yelp
It is huge! Walt Disney World includes Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom. Each park is far from each other. The end result: Walt Disney World is the size of a town or city. No joke on that. There are shuttles and buses for transportation, but be prepared to walk an ungodly distance to stand in long lines and experience less magic than you should for the cost and amount of time you put in. Sure, one could argue that there's the animal Kingdom with Pandora and Avatar etc. But we have zoo's in California lol I can see animals whenever I want. The world of Pandora was cool. The Tree of Life, cool. But honestly, not that spectacular lol It's just a tree. And some nature stuff with vines and bushes everywhere lol Like oooo ahhhh and then you are over it lol For me, Walt Disney World seems like such a money-making pit. They way it is designed, you need a day for each park- at least. Because they are so big and not in the same area. And all the walking, plus the lines. And because of all those factors, it is easier to stay at one of the Disney hotels- which cost an arm and a leg. If you stay outside of Disney, then you have to walk to the designated drop-off and pick-up area for ride shares and Ubers. Overall, Disneyland California is more condensed to one area. More fun in a shorter amount of time. Less walking and wasting time. California Adventure Park is right across the way, and you can easily walk- you don't have to shuttle or bus it miles down the road lol Walt Disney World was an experience, but I don't ever need to come back.

Yelp
Walt Disney World opened in 1971 and spans 25,000 acres. It was designed to be a supplement to Disneyland in California because it was constricted by the establishments that were built around it whereas there was a lot more open land in Florida. Walt Disney died during the planning phases of Disney World but his brother helped bring his dreams to fruition. There are four parks: EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios. They all have different themes, styles, and vibes and they're all fun in their own way. We woke up really early everyday to maximize our time in the park and planned our day and which rides we were doing in which order. It was tiring and there was a lot of working but we had a fantastic time! A couple tips/tricks: - wear padded shoes because you'll be walking a lot - you can bring backpacks, drinks, and food into the park - bring sunscreen and re-apply often - bring water bottles as you can re-fill in the park - park-hopping is only allowed after 2pm - for some restaurants you can order on the Disney World app for mobile pick-up to avoid lines - if you stay at certain Disney World resorts, you can do early-entry into the park 30 minutes before the official opening - at 7am daily, join the virtual queue for certain popular rides - purchase Genie+ to maximize the number of rides you go on

Yelp
I have visited here many times with my family and friends. I returned here with my family of seven again including three preschoolers. We purchased 2-day adult tickets with FastPass admission to 1 park per day for $316 per adult. Taxes added additional $21 to each adult ticket so the total adult ticket cost was $337 per adult. We visited two different Disney parks over two different days. The tickets are not cheap, but the FastPass access was useful to save our time waiting on line. Our preschoolers greatly appreciated our visit to Disney especially Small World, RunAway Railway, Dumbo and several other preschooler kiddie rides. Some of our adults also enjoyed some of the more adult roller coasters. The Crystal Palace and Prime Time were also good for family lunches. Crystal Palace had Disney characters walking around the tables for photos. Crystal Palace was the most expensive. More to come regarding both of these restaurants. Refer to my separate reviews of both of these restaurants for family lunches which will be coming shortly. Patience is a virtue.

Yelp
We spent a day at WDW and it's a great place to explore and vacation. Pluses: there is a lot to see and do. I got 17,000 steps in. They are masters at managing crowds of people. Food is all very good to great. (But it's pricy.) The staff is there to help make your experience a great one. Ask if you need anything. Our fav ride: Guardians of the Galaxy. (It's intense and a long wait.) Also tops the list: Chevy Race Track. Use the single line if you don't want to wait. Minus: there will be a ton of people, everywhere. Waiting in line is part of it, everywhere. It's expensive. Expect airport prices on the food (but it's better quality than the airports) All the shops have good/nice stuff but it's expensive. Feet, ankles, knees, hips get sore, wear your most comfortable shoes. Advice: Get tickets & app early. Plan what you want to do and when. Use the app, i.e. make reservations (rides, restaurants) early, before 7 am the day of arrival. Pay to park close. Pay for the Lightning Pass (gets you in much faster) While in line, Disney has things to entertain & to see. Some are elaborate.

Yelp
When i was a kid i have been wanting to go to this place but when i was the age of 12 i was so happy like there was a lot of rides but the tickets were expensive but still i tried the upside down ride it felled scary at first but it did when soo fast i love there rides i dent had time to meet the mascots like Mikey mouse donld duck and all kinds of rides so yeah good Magical theme park

Adam C.

Yelp
Overall the experience was disappointing. It felt more like a money grab than an experience. Lines for popular rides on a week day were generally over 60 minutes. Many of the rides probably have not changed since my parents went as children. You leave feeling like you have been taken - the magic in the Magic Kingdom has been lost.

Kevin B.

Yelp
The Walt Disney World Resort is a massive complex consisting of 4 main parks, 2 water parks, and lots of golf courses and resorts. I've been to all of the parks and water parks when I was younger and I've been to Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Hollywood Studios as an adult. These parks are massive and endlessly entertaining and they really do make you feel like you're in another world, which is quite a feat in today's day and age. Yes, they're expensive (exceedingly so actually - staying at the Polynesian Resort is more expensive than staying in actual French Polynesia), but if you can get past that you can really enjoy the whole experience. And there are definitely ways to cut down on expenses. We've never stayed on resort as there are several very nice hotels that are just outside the Disney property that are more affordable. You can also look at a lot of the souvenirs online and pick out things like Disney ears ahead of time so that you're less likely to impulse buy excessively (which will happen anyway). Planning a Disney trip is no easy task and it's honestly sometimes harder than planning a huge road trip, but you can make it less stressful. Since we've been to Disney several times within the past few years, I'll give you some tips: 1) Get Genie+. I know it seems like an extra cash grab (and it is), but you don't want to be spending extra time in line for rides if you don't have to. You're already spending a lot for the ticket price and it won't be as enjoyable of a time if you have to spend more time in line than necessary. It's like the airline checked bag fees or concert booking fees that are now ubiquitous: very annoying, but not much way around them. Make sure you budget that into your ticket price and you won't be shocked when you buy it. Also, really think about if you'd use the park-hopper option. The parks are pretty far from each other and you'll spend a good amount of time just traveling from one to the other. This may be a good option if you only like some things in a particular park, but we typically spend all day in one park. 2) Make sure to get the app for your phone. All restaurant reservations and Genie+ reservations are done through the app, which makes it invaluable. You can also see estimated wait times for rides, which makes it easier to strategically plan your day or quickly change the plan if a ride breaks or has an excessive wait time. You can also mobile order food/drinks at several places and that alone can save you a lot of time. Make sure to bring an extra charger for your phone though as the app tends to drain your battery. 3) Don't over plan. This is the biggest thing we've seen that leads to the trip going awry. Yes, you often have to book some restaurants months ahead of time (they open 60 days in advance) in order to get a reservation (looking at you Be Our Guest) and yes, you have to get Genie+ ride reservations, but you don't have to over plan more than that. You don't want to forget that this is an amusement park and that the point of coming here is to have fun. We typically pick one sit-down restaurant for the day, then try to get Genie+ reservations for our top 1-2 rides, and then wing the rest of it. Most of the fun is wandering around and seeing what you can stumble upon, whether thats food/drink, shops, or rides. 4) Don't try to do everything. There's no way that you can do everything at Disney and trying to cram everything into a trip will increase your level of stress and won't let you really savor the moments at the park. It's also a ton of walking and you'll probably be exhausted after a day or two, especially if you're not used to walking 20k steps a day. If you're coming for a full week, I would budget in rest days (or rest half-days) to make sure that you don't wear yourself out. These are only a few tips for Disney World and there are numerous blogs out there with more detail than I could ever include here. Things can also change frequently, so I would recommend looking at some of those closer to your trip for the most up to date information. Overall though, don't forget to have fun and be a little kid again. Everyone, no matter how old, has an inner child, and this is a place where that inner child can come out and play again.

Yelp
Amazing. It's so good first I've been 9 times for 10 days each I realized I've been at Disney for 90 days so why not give it a review. The Theming was so good at first but with me going for the 9th time it was good it just lacked the 2016-2017 vibes I'm going for my 10th time in January 2025. I'm looking forward to it and Disney will always be a special place but it was better back then my favorite rides are Hollywood tower of terror, Big thunder mountain, Tiana's bayou adventure and The barnstormer I recommend Disney to everyone but finding the magic is harder now *UPDATE* the just announced D23 this looks amazing thanks Disney

Yelp
Never would I have imagined I would be writing a negative review about Disney World, which has been a special passion of mine for over two decades. It all started earlier this month when I experienced a very unfortunate and completely inexcusable interaction with a cast member who was discriminatory, snide, heartless and unprofessional, who denied my family reasonable accommodations for our disabilities. During our interview, from the moment our zoom meeting connected, she had a smirk on her face and was cold and impolite. Throughout our interview, she was snide and unprofessional. She smirked throughout the entirety of the interview. Her questions were intrusive and frankly, absurdly inappropriate for determining the necessity of 2 days worth of theme park accommodations. As I was sharing our information, I broke down and starting crying, and she immediately turned her head to the side and started LAUGHING. She was somewhat distracted during our interview, had looked to the side a few times prior to interact with a nearby co-worker, and when I started crying, and she looked to the side LAUGHING, I could deduce that she was mocking me and my grief with a nearby co-worker. I made my complaint to several levels of management, and only received a generic, automated response, which shows me they are clearly condoning their cast members treating disabled people in an abhorrent, humiliating, discriminatory and inhumane manner. Because you cannot apply for their disability access service until you have already purchased non-refundable tickets, we decided to go on our non-refundable vacation and chose 2 parks with the least amount of attractions in hopes that we could salvage our dignity and money spent. Suffice to say, our experience in the parks without necessary accommodations was incredibly difficult and depressing, with lots of tears and meltdowns. Some rides were inaccessible to us due to their extended waits. We also purchased their lightning lane multi pass to help with the waits, but was unhelpful past our initial 3 ride selections, as there was no availability left for high demand attractions once we were able to pick a new selection. We also went during a lower crowd time and the parks were still too overcrowded to enjoy. There were many disgruntled employees, too. Clearly, their values end where their profits begin. I will not support this company until change happens.

Yelp
I grew up in the 60s and 70s. I have always been completely enamored with Disney World. I've visited at least 15 times. Every trip was so special...until the one I took in January 2025. I had not visited since late 2019 due to COVID. I must say that I was astonished at the changes - and none of the changes were good. To begin with, there has been a 30% price increase in food and beverages in all the parks. We canceled some of our dinner reservations because of this. They did away with the free fast passes and replaced it with lightening passes. I already paid a ton for the tickets and they want me to pay even more to get closer to the front of the line? The did away with special medical access to get on the rides sooner. My husband has had 7 back surgeries and cannot stand in line, but he does not qualify for a medical pass any longer. So, we skipped rides - LOTS of rides. In our four days there, we were only able to get on 12 rides/attractions due to the long lines as we had to go only to the rides or attractions that had shorter waits. How sad is that for the price you pay? Even with that we had waited so long for rides in Magic Kingdom that we never even made it to Tomorrowland and the area around Dumbo. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I still love Disney - the Disney I grew up with, but I don't think I will ever return to Disney World again. They only care about making money, and don't care if people are unhappy because there will always be people going to visit. It is such a shame for us Disney veterans. The Disney World we knew and loved is gone.

Yelp
In September from the 16th-20, my sister and I went to Disney World. i have several chronic illnesses and pain conditions. i have used the DAS pass twice before with no issue and the trips I had were, not without difficulty here and there, but overall great. In August I was denied and given 1 useful tip and other tips that provided more frustration than help. Staff couldn't explain how the getting in and out of line worked. They full on ignored my sister and I when we asked for clarification. We tried the lightning lane and when rides broke we were kicked off the waitlist and unable to use the lightning lane, begging me to ask, why did I just spend all that money? Waiting in line with the noise and chaos made me very nervous and anxious as well as other guests becoming upset at me going the opposite direction, in my scooter, to leave a line. I didn't even get to go on my favorite rides because the entire experience was on the verge of causing panic attacks and led to emotional breakdowns. This doesn't even include the breakdowns I had from my ADHD. I am heartbroken and devastated that the park has taken away my ability to enjoy the park as much as I can. If you need the DAS pass I highly recommend you rethink going to the parks. Guests ignore your presence, cast members will ignore your presence, they don't seem to understand how anything works with their new system and the Lightning Pass was a waste of money. It is not the same as a DAS pass. Similar, but not the same if you have planned your whole trip around specific times. Please do better Disney

Abbe B.

Yelp
I used to be an avid Disney fan and live locally. My family had had annual passes for a while but have now let them lapse due to their horrible updates to the DAS system. I used to qualify based on medical diagnosis' and I even use the IBCCES card with no problems at Universal but Disney doesn't want to be bothered apparently with silly things like actual medical recommendations from actual doctors and instead insist on a humiliating and frustrating process of waiting hours to speak to someone who 99% of the time will tell you you don't qualify because what they actually want is for you to pay more money to use their lightning lanes. I'll be happy to update my review if this process changes yet again but it seems like they're either not listening to the disabled community or just don't care. Disney has lost my business as well as my families for the foreseeable future. Universal is a better experience overall and they have some awesome attractions as well as Halloween Horror Nights! Can't wait for Epic Universe up to open!

Yelp
I visited the magic kingdom twice this year 2/2023 and 6/2023 both times were wonderful! And magical! Yes, it's expensive but worth it! It makes you feel like a kid. All of your adult problems leave for the moments you are in the Disney parks. I found a lot of delicious gluten free food. Plenty of cute things to buy and people watching

Stephanie D.

Yelp
Had an amazing time with my family THE ONLY BAD THING WAS ALL THE RAIN, it delayed the Halloween party and parade, the horseman did not walk . Very disappointed!

Amonimous M.

Yelp
The lines more than an hour when busy who wants to pay to wait in hour lines!if ur not there soon after they open ur gonna only ride 8 ride in 9 hours .

Ak V.

Yelp
Pros: your children will love it... some the adult will like the avengers/Star Wars stuff. The in park transportation system and ambiance is second to none really. All the cast and workers seem to truly give it their all! Cons: literally everything is a money grab and the value for the amount of money spent is really not there. They get away with it because they own the IP for characters so no one else can make alternative stuff that are "official". If you aren't a top spender you literally will have a very different experience from the rooms and ambiance of where you're staying, the food you eat, and wait time in parks. It's not like in your face but if you're ballin on a budget Disney will make sure you know you're ballin on a budget. I wouldn't call Disney an affordable experience for the average American family and when Disney says it is... they're just not explain that your experience could feel like you're waiting in lines all day and eating mall food and still spending thousands of dollars. I'm lucky I'm privileged and can afford this in more than just a budget way and the difference is night and day.... Overall: if you can afford to come... save more money and go less and experience it with a bigger budget it's completly different. The young kids will always have fun and won't notice the difference much but the older kids and adults will feel it. If you can't afford this don't fret there are way better experiences in the USA at a cheaper price point

Yelp
My Apple Watch flew off during the space mountain ride. I filled out a lost and found form and crossed my fingers. Within 24 hours my watch had been retrieved. They even mailed it back to me and gave me the option to pick it up in person. It was my magical moment!!!!

Yelp
Walt Disney World is Great Overall. The Service is Nice. The Value is Good. The Ambiance is Fantastic. The Walt Disney World Resort is Great Overall.

Angelica S.

Yelp
Definitely a life time experience! Coming from California to experience Walt Disney World was always a dream come true as a kid and to finally be able to experience it as an adult I was able to enjoy every piece of it. I had so much fun even though the rides are more kiddish but I was ok with that! Riding pirates of the Caribbean, space Mountain, it's a small world, Tiana's bayou and some other new cool rides! Definitely tried multiple Disney foods and treats, which were all pretty good and meeting Up with family was a plus definitely go to Walt Disney World at least once in your life.

Yelp
What a slamming hotel (room?) HOUSE DAMN BIG 3rd floor, cozy full family accommodations and most of all CLEAN!! **DIDN'T SEE ONE "MUTT" THANK GOD!!! Sleeping in a mattress embedded with dog urine (people love to sleep with their animals) and hairs would destroy this place and the name would be ,"VALT DISNEY TURDS RESORT. " Discusting.** High quality thick heavy bath towels, Shampoo, Bath wash, and conditioner dispensary (I actually didn't use "DIDN'T LIKE THE SMELL") LARGE SHOWER HEAD bigger than my hand BUT LACKED WATER PRESSURE. Full working kitchen with all amenities. WHIRLPOOL FRIDGE, DISHWASHER MICROWAVE AND STOVE. A LOT OF STORAGE. Beautiful patio views with a ceiling fan. Beds are high double mattress w/clean sheets and absolutely NO ODERS. EVEN THE FREAKING DOORS INSIDE THE ROOMS were HEAVY to insulate noise from the hallway. Living room, Big Screen TV has to be over 60 inches, WTF? Living room couch can pull out a comfortable Queen size bed. Alexa speaker in the living room to ask questions and is prompt to answer ( can be shut off)might be listening? HAHAHAH So If you have a mere $1,200-$1,400 laying around YOUR FAMILY CAN HAVE A CHILL PLACE TO STAY IN A DISNEY FLORIDA RESORT. Ample vehicle parking. Bus Transportation 24/7 to all theme parks, if you wanted to leave your vehicle behind? Security is up the ying yangso don't play. I have to admit I was very impressed with my stay Dave Long Island NY

Yelp
The Disney parks are a must do once in your life, there are so many different things to do within the parks. Make sure to save save save since the prices can be very high. There are so many different things to do from fast rides to family rides to show to stores. With Disney there is always something for the entire family.

Yelp
After taking a little over a year break from being a passholder my fiancé and I went again for the first time. I am enjoying the changes that are taking place. It still stinks to have to reserve a park but at least now they have implemented days where passholders do not need reservations. I am also so happy that park hopping at any time is back. We had a much more enjoyable experience this time around and will be going back pretty frequently from here on out.

Yelp
You spent thousands of dollars thousands of dollars take out a brand new freaking mortgage just to be able to go here and get told that you're not allowed to smoke or vape and that there's no designated areas except for outside of the premises but you're not allowed to bring your $30 beverage that you purchased How fucked up is that so just because some parents don't smoke they get to stay in the park all day, but just because some parents do they have to not only leave the park but go to a place where they can't even take their children to. Messed up . Highly do not recommend

Charly P.

Yelp
I'm honestly not sure what I could stay that hasn't already been said before. Disney World is my favorite place on the planet, and truly the most magical place on Earth. If you've somehow landed on yelp and are looking for a sign to go, then GO! You will make so many beautiful memories here! My favorite park is Animal Kingdom, and I can highly recommend Satu'li Canteen for lunch and Yak and Yeti for dinner. Be sure to speak with the cast members you meet, they are so much fun!

Yelp
Had an eight day vacation planned for my family. Every attraction takes about an hour to get on. After 4 days we caught Covid and our trip is over. Worst $9000 vacation ever!

Yelp
Walt Disney world is like a well oiled machine. Everything about it was great: my favorite ride was Peter Pan. I only went to magic kingdom and brought my baby and toddler with. The baby center is so fantastic! I was able to nurse my daughter and there was some air conditioning in there too. They have microwaves and a bathroom. My favorite part of the day was the fireworks! OMG they are so magical! I can't wait to go back! Only losing one star for the cost. I wish it could be a bit more affordable. We did splurge on a character meal and that was so much fun- my kids loved it!

Emmett P.

Yelp
DANGER!!!!!!!!!!DANGER!!!!!!! I have just left Disney Magic Kingdom a very shocked and relieved parent! Over crowded to a level that I and several others were afraid for there children. After the fireworks we found ourselves jammed in tight with no possible escape routes. I spoke with a lady beside me trying to take care of two small children and one in a stroller who was struggling to protect her family and then watched as teenagers stepped over her stroller that had an infant in it. With no help from staff the crowd started to work together to make it safe. I was there as part of a 20 plus people family trip with my young kids all waiting to see the magic so I chose to stay when the rest of our party left within 2 hrs of arrival. Not willing to repeat this experience I went to the office to get a refund on the second day on my tickets to be meet by very pleasant staff that although pleasant point blank refused to refund anything to us. I suggested these tickets should not have been sold to people if they are not in a position to protect there guests. I was then even more shocked to be told they were running at just over 50% capacity. Shame on you and I suggest you review your safety protocols before the world get to see a headline news story!

Yelp
WDW losing its magic for guests with disabilities. I firmly believe Walt Disney World is becoming a less friendly place for disabled guests. Let me explain: I am a mobility and emotionaly disabled individual (I suffer from lower bilateral neuropathy as well as anxiety and OCD.) I need to ride an electric scooter while visiting the parks, and I understand that Disney has made the queues more scooter friendly, but that doesn't make the anxiety of waiting in long lines friendlier as well. Up to a couple of months back I used to be able to get a DAS (Disability Access Service) pass so I wouldn't have to wait long periods of time in line, which causes my anxiety flair up and take away a lot of the fun the ride is supposed to to give me. I have been an annual pass holder for various periods of my life, but a few weeks back, when I tried to register again for the DAS I was informed that what used to be a reason for me to get it is not a good enough reason to get it currently, I was given a bunch of ways to avoid the long lines, that I consider a way of Disney becoming more disabled unfriendly. Why the reasons that were enough a few months back are not good enough now? I have medical opinions that I suffer from the previous mentioned problems, but I was told that Disney is not able to accept medical reasons as a reason to provide DAS. After being a loyal Disney fan for over 47+ years, becoming disabled unfriendly is making me not being able to keep enjoying Disney for the rest of my life. Obviously I am not planning to renew my yearly pass next year, what would be the use of doing so? I understand one loyal fan nor renewing an annual pass in not an economic concern for the Disney organization. But it is a very disappointing reason for a long time fan of Disney not being able to continue enjoying one of the most exciting experiences for a very long time. Daniel Sauerteig

Yelp
Cant hate it for very long really love this place hours could be better but everything else is a dream come true

Yelp
Walt Disney World I can't tell you how many times I've been. I lived in Florida off and on for 40 years. I went when it first opened and at least once a year after that. When I raised my daughter in Florida I took her twice a year during her school vacations. I'm not going to bore you with all the photos. I can't recommend Walt Disney World enough. If you're like me and never want to grow up, or if you have children, it's a must. There's lots of new things but the old favorites are still popular rides. Some things are timeless. Bring lots of money if you eat or snack at the park. I always brought a bunch of snacks and just had one special meal for the day. Plus let my daughter have a treat. I'm sure we still have our stuffed Mickey and Minnie. I know we have Goofy too. I bought my daughter a stuffed toy each time we visited. No expense replaces the experience and happy memories. You will find plenty of souvenirs all through the park. My daughter has been back as an adult and so have I. Thanks to all of you I enjoy my vicarious visits with my adopted Yelp Children and Grandchildren!!

J B.

Yelp
Disney has become a absolute failure to ADA folks. The new rules have excluded alot of us willing to spend the money because of greatness Disney use to be. Greed has affected many and as annual passholders for multiple days we won't be renewing.

The Autistic FanCritic S.

Yelp
The lockers are free when they are required. You may only need to use a locker for one ride but at least for the ones you don't you can safely keep them in your pockets. Goodjob Disney.

Jeff C.

Yelp
Fun experience for the kid and it should be but lawdy these lines and lines and lines is something else. I can tell u one thing. U can get here as early as u want. But finishing the whole park won't happen at all. I'll come again eventually

B C.

Yelp
Deadly hurricane barreling down on Florida. The government is asking everyone in Florida to leave and those planning to come--not to do so. Many will die. And yet--after a 2 hour hold, we just spoke to a Disney rep who said they will not be refunding tickets. Then they had the audacity to literally finish the call with "have a magical evening." So Disney--are you saying we should sneak into Florida, wade past the tragedy all around us, and come visit your "magical kingdom" rather than you doing the obvious thing literally every other business is doing right now--refunding tickets for this period of time? Why in the world would we ever want to try to visit your park again after this callous demonstration of greed on your part? You should be ashamed.

Ryan S.

Yelp
Been waiting in line for slinky dog for nearly 3 hours, ride goes by every third time with no one on it. Genie plus is garbage. Disney World is a tourist trap!

Tim R.

Yelp
mechanical failures , monorail broke , Christmas parade canceled , hitting the ankle four times with a stroller people using electric scooters that aren't handicap dangerously overfilled in Magic Kingdom and over build consistently throughout the week now one star is too much I felt exploited and it makes people feel like when they come to Orlando they ripped off so Orlando will pay the price for Disney's overpriced parks! Most important the fun Factor there is no enjoyment entertainment , I did finally win a cue at 7:00 in the morning after trying for a whole year and it was canceled on us !. The worst Disney) Vacation
