"Like a few other properties on this list, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resorts aren't Disney-owned properties, but their close proximity to the parks and on-site Disney resort benefits make them worth checking out. Plus, Marriott Bonvoy members will be happy to know that they can earn (or use) points here because these are Marriott-managed hotels. Guests can enjoy perks like early entry and extended hours at Disney parks and complimentary transportation (you can even walk to Hollywood Studios or Epcot from these hotels). These hotels offer a range of suites and guest rooms, plus, the new Walt Disney World Swan Reserve offers an even more upscale vibe and fresh design." - Travel + Leisure Editors

We've stayed here a few times and have enjoyed our stay. The rooms are decent. The pools are fantastic. The pool side food service is nice. I love the early entry to Disney and proximity to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. My only complaints are: 1) most of the restaurants in the Swan and Dolphin are too expensive. I miss the cafeteria-style restaurant that was in the basement of the Dolphin, which was good quality and affordable. I went off-site for dinner most nights because of the lack of affordable dinner options. 2) The TV kept turning on randomly which was annoying. Each time we left for the day, when we returned, the TV was on loudly. Overall it is a good resort.

Very nice hotel with lots of dining nearby. It is a beautiful property with close access to Epcot and Disney Hollywood. The hotel provides transportation to the parks whether it's boat or bus. Very convenient Disney location. You must pay for parking. There is no complimentary breakfast but we bought breakfast sandwiches and coffee to grab and go using their app. That was the best "hotel coffee" I've ever had. I also appreciated the daily maid service.

We recently enjoyed a one-night staycation (we’re locals) at the Swan. We checked in around 12:30 on a Sunday planning to walk around the boardwalk or go to Epcot until our room was ready later that afternoon. To our surprise, a room was ready so we skipped the boardwalk and went right up. We had a king room with balcony and a resort view. The room was very comfortable and felt recently updated. The bathroom had a walk-in shower and vanity / sink. There was a second vanity and sink just outside the bathroom. This is a really smart setup, especially helpful for families. The balcony was quite small, but still enough room for two chairs and a small table. The bed was comfortable but the pillows weren’t great. The Swan and Dolphin complex is centrally located within the Walt Disney World property with walking access to Epcot and the Epcot resorts (Yacht Club, Beach Club, Boardwalk). All other parks and Disney Springs are just a bus ride away. And best of all, they are Marriott hotels. I used my Marriott points to pay for the night ($300+ room rate). Only out-of-pocket charges were the $50 per day resort fee and $38 parking.

Google
Great hotel at boardwalk! Both Disney Hollywood Studios and Epcot ate walkable or a short boat ride away. This is a Disney partner property so your magic band won't work, keep that in mind. We appreciate the bonvoy points, the rooms are clean and the Internet was great. The coffee at the store wasn't great so grab one from another location.

This is my second time staying at the Walt Disney World Swan for a conference, and I can confidently say I would choose this resort every time I visit. I absolutely love the friendly staff, the incredible location, and the overall experience. One of the biggest highlights for me is how close the hotel is to EPCOT - it has quickly become my favorite park, and being within walking distance is a huge plus. The staff here are consistently kind, accommodating, and go above and beyond to ensure a great stay. The rooms are always very clean, and the beds are super comfortable, making it easy to rest after a long day. The only small downside is that the walls are a bit thin, so I’d recommend bringing earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. But overall, the experience has been fantastic, and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

Google
The hotel is very grand and in a perfect location for walking to Epcot or boat to Hollywood studios. If you get the right room you will have great views of fireworks. It also smells amazing! I have only given it three stars as it is very heavily focused on conferences and you will regularly find areas roped off with no notice. For our last week the footpath and hammocks were blocked for a giant marquee. The beach closed one day for a private event. The walk way between the two hotels on another- this was one of the worst as it was awkward to get to the boats. Conference branding everywhere. I get it, I have experience in Events and it's a high money earner but it shouldn't mean your hotel guests should lose out on facilities. I would hate to be staying there over the next couple of weeks as looks like they are getting up for a huge expo. It's a shame as the purpose built conference facilities look great and a shame they spill out elsewhere in the hotel. If you are a family of four staying in one room, make sure you get house keeping daily as there is no space to dry towels and everything gets a bit smelly. If flying with Virgin, be warned that the Garden Grove is not open every day for breakfast for the free kids dining. Fresh is now called something else and they will not honour the free dining either. Hot chocolate in Java is spot on!

Google
Stayed for 7 days on a family.holiday, primarily for the location and proximity to two of the Disney parks and we were not disappointed. Being able to walk into the parks was great. The hotel itself has been refurbished and the rooms are great. Dining options are many but not cheap, and the pool is a welcome relief from the hustle of the parks. Would definitely recommend.

Google
We stayed here for a 7 day family vacation, it was awesome! There were 9 of us, 6 adults and 3 children. This was our 3rd time at this hotel. The hotel is a great location and the cheapest option when compared to any other area hotels. Location has boats to Epcot and Hollywood Studios, busing to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom. You really do not need a car as uber is super quick and much less expensive than parking your car. I fully recommend.

Yelp
What a great spot if you are going to Epcot or Hollywood Studios! There are three hotels right next to each other... Boardwalk Resort, Dolphin and Swan. My friend said she liked the Boardwalk Resort just a tad more because it's on the Boardwalk, but other than that, the Swan was great. The Swan and Dolphin are sister Marriott Hotels that look the same in design but the Swan is a little quieter which I was all for. I reserved a standard double queen bedroom and received a very nice newly remodeled room that was at the end of the hall and featured sweet double window walls since it was on the corner. The room was full of natural light and was bright. It had a view of the river that that the shuttle boats use and the backside of the boardwalk. The room has standard amenities, iron, coffee maker, tazo tea, two complimentary bottles of water sitting in the fridge for you. The shower had a shower head that had adjustable pressure along with a hose option. The bathroom area had two full sinks, one in the shower/toilet room and one outside of it. Parking at the Swan is $36 for self and $44 for valet. If you stay at the hotel and park at the hotel, you can also park at the parks for free or you can take the complimentary boat shuttle or you can just walk to the park. It's a five minute walk to the Disney Boardwalk and a twelve minute walk to the backside Epcot entrance which lets you in between France and the United Kingdom. I recommend walking over to the parks. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Swan and wouldn't hesitate to book it again. Check-in only took five minutes and my bed was comfy. The in house restaurant is open fairly late which is nice. ***Hot Tip*** If you link the hotel reservation to your park ticket you can get into the parks 30 minutes before it opens to the public. That is enough time for you to knock out an E-Ticket ride and another ride before the park even opens.

Yelp
My girlfriend (26F) and I (29M) were at the Swan Hotel on 12/07/2024 and had reservations for the Il Mulino New York Trattoria. While my girlfriend was exiting the restroom in the restaurant, a 40-ish year old man harassed her and told her aggressively to "smile more". She told me what happened and we both approached the creep who made the comment and told him to mind his own business. The creep begins to justify his actions saying "well she should smile more what's the big deal", making this statement in front of his party which is comprised of three other grown women! He said this in front of the host stand in front of 10+ other people mixed with restaurant staff and patrons of the resort. We told him off and proceeded to guest relations to report him. Whatever you do, do not support this hotel with your reservation. There are plenty of other resorts who reinforce that their guests act appropriately in all common areas regardless of who they are. The hotel did very little to help us and ultimately I feel they couldn't care what happens to their guests. Stay at another resort, the Swan Hotel doesn't care about your little girls or women.

Yelp
The Swan and Dolphin hotels demonstrate a fun and functional marriage between Disney and Marriott. We stayed at the Swan for two nights during the latter half of our recent WDW vacation, and had a nice visit overall. I'd definitely consider staying here again, and I'm especially grateful to the folks at the front desk, who were able to check us in a few hours early on the day of our reservation. The location is definitely one of the best parts of these accommodations - you're a short walk from both Epcot and Hollywood Studios. We definitely took advantage of that in the mornings, and then utilized the complimentary boat transportation in the evenings. Heads-up that there may only be one boat working at a time, so unless it's physically sitting in the dock when you're ready to go, you could be waiting awhile. The boats are also weather-dependent: if there's lightning in the area, they'll have to pause operations at the nearest dock. As other reviewers note, parking is expensive all the way around. While the self-park lot isn't too far from the lobby, it can be treacherous to run to or from car in the middle of a Florida thunderstorm. Next time, I think I'd just opt to upgrade to valet for $8 more. Our room was nice and clean, albeit a bit on the smaller side. The way the two bathroom sinks are laid out struck me as strange at first, but ended up making sense while we were getting ready the next day. The beds were comfortable, and while we didn't book a room with a view, you could see a small sliver of the Epcot ball from our window. We didn't have a chance to check out any of the dining options during our short stay, but noted them for next time.

Yelp
We love the Swan as much as the Dolphin. Have stayed multiple times at both. Great dining options, discount for teachers, next door to Boardwalk and Yacht/Beach Club and walkable to Epcot and HS. Busses and boats available. Great pools!

Thomas P.

Yelp
Great conference experience. The hotel is beautiful, and I love the themes throughout. The staff is clearly friendly, with great customer service. I would be excited to have a conference in this hotel again. I'm sure it cost a lot though for such an experience.

Bruce K.

Yelp
I did not stay in the hotel, I was a guest here for a convention that spanned the Swan and the Dolphin across the way. Thankfully, there's a nice walking path but in the summer that would not be great. Or in the rain, that would not be great. Parking is easy but very expensive at $36 for the day and the first day, the ticket machine did not give me a receipt. Otherwise, it is a nice property with a coffee shop on the first floor and some restaurants. The Orlando public transport buses come by often enough if you don't have a rental car and don't want to Uber. Convention center ballrooms are clean and the hallways are wide. Conference wifi worked well - I don't know if they have a free wifi for regular guests. It's Disney, so probably not. [Review 1014 of 2024 - 1890 in Florida - 22042 overall]

Yelp
It is amazing because the room is great and everyone was very friendly and there is a boat that can pick you up to go to Epcot or Hollywood Studios. 100/100 (review from an 11yr old)

Yelp
HUUUUUUUGE!!!!!!! The Walt Disney World Swan is so big! My gosh! I attended a conference for mental health awareness, addiction and wellness. A colleague and myself got lost so many times trying to navigate the Swan Hotel! There is signage everywhere, which does help to find your way! We also had to ask for help a lot. But it is just ginormous! And trying to figure out what floor to go to and then find what section (eg. pacific, Atlantic, etc.), and then either room A, B or C. Our heads were spinning at first lol But then you do get the hang of it and how to navigate it. We purchased the VIP experience, which included a VIP lounge. We used that as our reference point. We would start from the VIP lounge and head to a lecture room. And then back track to the lounge. It helped us get lost less lol

Yelp
Nestled in the enchanting realm of Walt Disney World, the Disney World Swan Resort shines as a beacon of hospitality and convenience. Having had the pleasure of staying at this hotel once before 2020 and again a couple weeks ago, I can attest to the seamless fusion of Disney magic and Marriott excellence. One of the most delightful aspects of the stay was the effortless access to all the perks of the Disney World Resort while still enjoying the benefits and discounts of Marriott hotels. It's the best of both worlds, quite literally! And before diving into the enchantment of the parks, the JAVA café in the lobby provided the perfect jumpstart with its array of delectable breakfast options and the finest brews to fuel your day, including a tantalizing Nitro Brew that's sure to awaken your senses. After a day filled with the wonders of Disney, unwinding at Mandara Spa or indulging in the culinary delights of Kimonos, Il Mulino New York Trattoria, or Garden Grove was an absolute treat. And who could resist a bit of late-night karaoke at Kimonos, adding a touch of whimsy to the evening? The hotel's amenities, from the state-of-the-art gym to the inviting pool, offer ample opportunities for relaxation and recreation. Plus, the complimentary bus service to all the Disney theme parks proved to be a lifesaver during the bustling Easter holiday weekend, allowing us to breeze through the gates before the crowds descended and linger long after they departed. As for the accommodations, the rooms exuded luxury and comfort, boasting Marriott's renowned king-size beds and impeccable service. While we opted for a top-floor view sans balcony, every moment spent within those walls was a testament to the epitome of hospitality. In conclusion, our four-day getaway to Orlando was nothing short of magical, thanks in large part to the Disney World Swan Resort. Whether you're a Floridian seeking a staycation, a business traveler in need of respite, or a tourist embarking on a theme park adventure, this gem of a hotel earns a resounding five stars and my highest recommendation.

Yelp
Went there many years ago to the sushi restaurant and always dreamed about coming back! We are so glad we did! The easy access between Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Boardwalk makes the price of the hotel worth every penny. It was a rainy day and we had plenty to do. The pool bar was awesome as well and the staff in the entrance were too. This resort exceeded our expectations and now we are hooked. Would def recommend staying on the dolphin side rather than swan as there is much more movement/things to do there.

David R.

Yelp
Beat up property that lives off its location and Disney early access status, which are the only two reasons I stay here. If you have Marriott status, it either doesn't matter or 90% of the other people staying also have it, or a higher level. Even with Titanium I routinely end up in a room with a view of nothing, and sounds of the ice machine. They'll hit you with a resort fee, and then hit you again with a parking fee, even though I've never seen the lot even close to full, so the fee is not designed to ensure capacity, it's just a cash grab designed to get some money from what are likely many guests staying on points. Pre-covid, the free Marriott status breakfast used to be a great benefit, as they had both a great buffet and character dining. That's gone; you get a mediocre menu, no characters, while looking at the counter top areas surrounding the dining room where the buffet used to be. Bring an extension cord, because in the rooms, half the outlets will no longer hold a power brick, so you may find yourself charging your devices from an outlet no where near where you want to be. The showers often have broken tiles and broken fixtures, like putting the tub in shower mode and finding half the water that should be going to the shower head gushing out of the tub spout. The wifi is typically under performing, and pro tip, make sure you are not on the wifi at 7am when half the hotel is trying to join Disney virtual queues. That's when the system really falls apart and by the time you realize that, and switch to cellular, you'll probably have missed your chance. What's really disappointing is that with they way Disney continues the hotel price arms race with their own rooms, it just drags the prices up here even more. There are such nicer properties close by, but they don't have the early access benefit, or the ability to walk to Epcot/Hollywood, so you suffer through this one at inflated prices because you're willing to have a mediocre hotel experience if it means a great day at the parks.

Yelp
Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin: The sister hotels known as the Swan and Dolphin opened back in 1990 with the Swan a little earlier (January) than the Dolphin (June). Although they are operated by Marriott, the hotels are currently classified as Disney deluxe resorts and include most of the benefits that come with staying at a deluxe resort (such as extended evening and early entry theme park hours). Both hotels employ a modern design with a nod to Renaissance elegance. Decorative giant clamshell fountains and elegant twin swans preside over majestic palm trees, verdant lawns and the beautiful shores of Crescent Lake. The resort utilizes a wave motif with a coral-and-aqua color scheme that embodies Florida's distinctive subtropical style. It really is a sight to behold, especially when lit up at night. One of the reasons my family chose to stay at this resort was the phenomenal location within Disney World. Both Epcot and Hollywood Studios are a short walk away (10-15 minutes). There are also complimentary buses to all the parks as well as Disney Springs. Our room included useful amenities, such as a coffee maker, mini fridge, alarm clock, and even comfortable robes. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay with only a few minor issues that the hotel was able to easily correct (only one bathrobe initially and not enough coffee). My only real complaints are that the mini fridge is extremely small, and it would have been nice to also have a microwave. Something that really impressed me though was the fitness center. It was not only clean but had a myriad of strength training machines and free weights (I like to squeeze in a few quick and light workouts when I travel). My expectations were also exceeded when our room was ready early (about three hours before check-in). Although I should point out that we traveled during a non-peak time of year. I can easily see myself staying here again on my next Disney vacation. 4.5/5 Doughboy_Food_Reviews

Yelp
This was a beautiful hotel in its day, but it's showing more tooth now. Still, my lovely husband and I were both excited to visit a Disney resort. I loved having access to the Ferry, plus being so close to the parks was stellar. The beds were comfortable. Our room had not been cleaned before we came into them. It was missing the trash bags in the trash cans. There was dirt and dead bugs on one of the beds. When we complained, they took care of it quickly, but it was not up to Disney or Westin Standards. Getting our rooms cleaned on our subsequent days had to be requested more than once, sometimes to the cleaning staff directly. The room service menu was confusing which was another disappointment. It was difficult to figure out what you received with your food if you ordered. I opted to either eat at the cafe in the lobby, or order from a food delivery service. We loved the view from our room, however, even if it wasn't the best side of the hotel. There's still a lot of beauty in the old girl, and I'm curious to see how the hotel looks after all the renovations. The walk around the hotel is lovely, with nicely manicured gardens and spectacular photo opportunities.

Yelp
My husband and I just stayed at the Swan for a weekend and had a very nice time. We had a balcony that overlooked the lovely swan fountain in the courtyard and enjoyed having our morning coffee on the balcony each day. The coffee shop staff were excellent and made some amazing lattes. The room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. The amenities were wonderful and every employee we encountered was helpful. We rode a boat to Hollywood Studios one night and the staff were great. We appreciated being able to walk to the Boardwalk and enjoy a dinner at the resort. It was a great stay.

Lynnelle E.

Yelp
It's our first time staying here, it's a nice hotel. Modern, clean, has a lot of restaurants, and close to all Disney Parks or provides transportation to get there. I thought it was pretty convenient. It's also close to the Boardwalk and other resorts Check-in was seamless. They were able to link my costco vacation to nights that I had added with the hotel without having to switch rooms. Customer service from the front desk was impeccable. Our room was spacious and had a great view. In our room, we had a balcony and was even able to watch the fireworks from our room, I believe from 2 different parks. We were able to avoid the crowds watching at the parks and the struggle of trying to get back to the room. We could see the epcot change colors at night. We were even able to watch the thunderstorm from our room, and the firework show still went on. The room was spacious and comfortable. I loved that there were 2 sinks in the bathroom. You can easily wash your hands after eating. We stayed here for over a week, and the stores they had were affordable. They had a gift shop where I would trade pins and by souvenirs. Right next door was a coffee shop where we would get a little pick me up. They sold so much more than coffee. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back for our future stay when going to Disney World. I saw that if you stay here during the holidays, you also get to buy event tickets a day or 2 before they come out. That is definitely a plus.

Steven W.

Yelp
I can finally say that I stayed here and the rooms were very comfortable. We are allowed to use all the pools between the Swan and Dolphin. I like that they have buses to the theme parks or a boat ride. In our room, they have two sinks, one in the bathroom with the toilet and shower, and one outside where the closet and safe is located. The beds were very comfortable and we had a balcony.

Simi O.

Yelp
I was in the Orlando area for a conference recently and it was held at the Swan Hotel. The location of the hotel is great. You are close to the parks and there is a shuttle that can drop you off at various park locations. For convenience, you cannot beat it! However, I do think the hotel is a bit dated and needs some work cleanliness-wise. I noticed they were doing some remodeling on the property, however, our room had a lot of things that I do not think lived up to the "Westin" hotel caliber. (Chipped tiles, dirty light switches, etc) Which reflects the low rating. I don't think for the price of $300-400 a night the price for the quality you get is very lack luster.

Chris E.

Yelp
We did a three day two night stay at the Swan. I'm a Marriott person so we get some love there and very nice place. The check-in was fine although they do seem to take quite a while but people always have a lot of questions I reckon. The rooms were very nice. Looks like the place has been remodeled in the last year or so, and if I had any complaints at all, it would be. that I did not get upgraded to the presidential suite. Really surprised this place is only getting three stars because it's really nice and so easy to go to Epcot and Disney World on the boat.

Diana D.

Yelp
I absolutely loved staying at the Swan! The hotel is beautiful, so close to Epcot and Hollywood Studios and the service was great! There are some areas under construction, so hopefully they are done with that soon. They offer free transportation to all the parks and Disney Springs. It is a Marriott property, so you still get your Marriott Bonvoy points while enjoying some Disney Magic like early park entry or the theming of the hotel. I had read reviews that were not so great and I was a little hesitant about booking at The Swan but all I got was a magical experience.

Isabella K.

Yelp
We stayed here for the first week of January and had an amazing time. Yes, everything was a little bit pricey with a $40 plus tax per day resort fee and $35 parking per night (they just announced they would not charge for parking anymore at Disney resorts). But this was expected at a Disney Deluxe resort. Things I loved: - the hotel is right by the water - you can take a boat to Epcot & Hollywood studios - Hotel is walking distance to Epcot - view at nightly fireworks at the parks - great restaurants - room service is extremely quick and offers extensive menu from all on-site restaurants - great coffee shop with many options - on-site Disney shop with lots of merch - nice pool - playground on-site - neighboring hotels Dolphin and Swan Reserve let you charge to the room - Mandara spa with many options such as a quick treatment for tired legs (very much needed after walking through parks all day)

Yelp
We had such a pleasant time staying here for 4 days. The room was clean, the bed was super comfortable, and I loved having 2 sinks in the room. This really helped when 2 off is had to get ready quickly. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful and I liked having a coffee shop and restaurants close by. There were lots of shuttles going to Disney springs and the parks and 2 of the parks were in walking distance. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Brian K.

Yelp
Was clean and rooms were fairly modern and cute but compared to the dolphin the hallways and rooms were below average for the high prices. Hotel was freezing too maybe 67 degrees like what the room was set at when see checked in. Hotel experience seemed to be less than the dolphin. Room face the parking lot entrance.

Matthew U.

Yelp
After all the chaos I had ensued over the course of a few days, I had finally landed in a room that I could call my own. It wasn't ideally what I was hoping for, but it fit the bill. Checking in was smooth. Once it was all taken care of at the Dolphin I just made my way to the front desk to pick up my key and make my way to the room. The one biggest hold up here is the elevators. There is a bank of four for each wing, but I felt like it took forever for them to run the course and return. It almost felt like you were standing in a line in the parks just waiting for the elevators. The room I did get was pretty amazing. It was kind of one step away from being a suite. Nice big bed, seating area, desk area, enough storage for all my belongings, and a decent bathroom. They were nice enough to give a me room with a balcony. I have to say it was a nice place to relax (when I had a chance and it didn't rain) and had a pretty decent view. The hotel itself had an array of amenities to satisfy your needs. Multiple restaurants in house. A shop for coffee and small dishes. Souvenir shop if you forgot to grab items in the park. Playground for the kids, and a beach like setting for volleyball or sunbathing. I also noticed that it was within walking distance of a miniature golf course. The biggest amenity, at least to me, was the shared bridge that connected to the Dolphin. Not only is it a bridge, but it is also a connection to multiple things. You can get on the water taxi to take you to two of the parks. You can walk to the boardwalk. And most importantly for me was that the bridge is partially covered. If it happens to rain, and it did on my last day there, you are at least partially protected from the downpour. The back entrance allows for a grand view of the Dolphin as well. On top of having to move around a lot, and not getting the hotel I originally thought I wanted, I did end up in a pretty awesome hotel. I was glad for that, because that last day when it down poured, I just wanted to stay in my room. If I wanted dinner, go downstairs. If I wanted to buy something, go downstairs. I don't know how to describe it, but this Disney hotel has a different feel than the others.

Yelp
What can I say that others haven't already addressed? Disney properties are known for friendly service and the Swan delivers on that brand promise. The rooms are decent - although balconies are tiny. I don't notice til the next day that my room was out of shampoo and bodywash. & regular coffee. Also telephone was inop.? as always, Marriot beds are comfy. I hate the $40 resort fee- for services you get get free at every other Marriott- total BS. I suspect the Swan is more oriented to business events than families- but there is mix still. It's been a while since my last visit- so can't compare to others properties under the brand. It's ok, but overpriced IMHO- and we got a discounted rate! They do have good game on the conference side.,.

Yelp
The Swan was one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in. The room was nice, and even though we got a "no view" room, we had a nice view of the water. Housekeeping was great, and I loved Java, the little coffee shop/convenience store on the first floor of the hotel. The location was great, and we loved the complementary transportation to and from the Disney parks and Disney Springs. We didn't bring or rent a car, and didn't need one staying here- a bus or boat got us everywhere we wanted to go. The only issue was had was with the front desk staff. We checked in when we got there, and our room wasn't ready yet. It was early, so that was fine- we explored the hotel and got some lunch at the Fountain in the Dolphin. Then we checked back at 4 PM, check-in time- still no room. We didn't get into our room until 6 PM, with no communication about how long the wait would be or why it took so long, which was really not a great start to the trip. Then when checking out, I got a notification that our bus to the airport had arrived. I knew the airport buses came to a different place than the park buses, so I asked the lady at the front desk where my bus would be. She said that there wouldn't be a bus coming to pick me up to take me to the airport. I said one was actually there now, and she said that's not a service offered anymore. Fortunately when I walked out of the hotel I was able to find my bus, with no help from the staff at the hotel. All in all, it was a nice stay, and the Swan is a lovely hotel. I just wish it hadn't been bookended by bad experiences at the front desk.

Yelp
My family and I stayed 3 nights and had a very comfortable stay at this hotel. One of the best things about this hotel is it's location. It is close to Disneys Boardwalk. We appreciated the added perk of being able to use Disney transportation from the hotel, which saved us a lot of time and hassle. The hotel itself was very clean and well-maintained. The lobby was spacious and welcoming, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. We felt very comfortable and at home during our stay. The hotel staff was very helpful. Unfortunately, my son got sick and threw up in the room, but the housekeeping staff was very understanding and did an excellent job cleaning up the mess in the room. Kudos to Suzan! Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Disney World. The location is excellent, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Despite the unfortunate incident with my son getting sick, the housekeeping staff was amazing and made our stay even better.

Yelp
As a person who visits WDW 3 times a year, I will return to this hotel until it gives me a good reason not to. 1.) Location is ideal. You're located basically on the Boardwalk and walkable to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Every transportation option is available to you and you just cannot beat the convenience of being smack dab in the middle. 2.) With the location being where it's at, the price is so much more affordable compared to the hotel options in the same area. 3.) Is it the nicest hotel on property? No. Is it the worst? Not even close. My room was clean and quiet and I had no issues during my stay. I'll be back in January with friends and I'm looking forward to seeing how they like it!

Yelp
Swan and Dolphin are our go to hotels at disney. They are Marriott so you get the marriott perks and can use marriott points for your stay. They are the perfect location at epcot with boat service to epcot and hollywood studios. You also get disney hotel perks including early entry to parks and being able to get lightening lane reservations sooner in am. Wonderful hotels with lots of restaurants and amenities. Buses to the other parks.

Yelp
Finally a rating worthy of the location. 3 stars is exactly what the sawn deserves. I'm sure it was worth it 20+ years ago but not for the prices they're asking for now. Yes it's centrally located and benefits of water taxis to Hollywood studios and Epcot as well as walkways but that's where the pluses end and the negatives begin Property is completely outdated and it really does take away from one's enjoyment. Especially knowing you could get so much nicer and cheaper hotels in area.

Yelp
It is a Disney property, so it is nice. When checking in they only had 2 people working the front counter with a long line. Make sure you ask for a nice view when checking in. We got a room with a nice view, but our friends got stuck looking at a roof. It is convenient that it is close to the Disney parks with the transportation they provide. Everything is overpriced but that is what you get when you stay at anything that has the Disney name on it.

Yelp
Nice hotel, get the parking you will appreciate it. Lots of restaurants and things today at this hotel. You can actually stay here the whole day also get great park tickets deals.

Yelp
I would rate much higher but I am taking a personal stand against hotels inflating their prices with exorbitant resort fees and parking fees to make it appear less expensive. To charge a $40 'resort fee' during a time when most services are cut is abysmal. It's so annoying to pay $55+ for resort fee and parking. The parking lot isn't even staffed! There is a lifeguard at the pool but that's about it. Wifi did not work for me the entire time I stayed and nobody could figure out why! Someone else on my floor had the same issue. The front desk worker was excellent ... when I showed her screenshots of the error messages, she removed part of my resort fee. I was also recognized as an Elite member and given a 1 hour late check out and an upgrade to a balcony room. Unfortunately, the trees blocked my view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks on the 5th floor but it was nice to sit out there and people watch. When I return, I would pay extra to ensure a balcony room. It was a very small balcony 2 could barely fit on but it added a lot. The main question you may be asking is what is the difference between The Swan and The Dolphin? Based on my experience and other reviews, it seeks like The Dolphin is more corporate and much larger. I walked through and it felt like a casino in Las Vegas or Atlantic City. The Swan is more of a boutique/high end feel. Check-in feels like a 5-star hotel and things are generally pretty quiet. The Dolphin has more excitement and its harder to navigate. I'd prefer The Swan, which is managed by Marriott. The lobby smells better and the bed is likely better as the Dolphin is managed by Westin. Both Marriott and Weston are under the Bonvoy banner, which means possible status upgrades and rewards points and redemptions! These hotels were built as Disney hotels, so a lot of the little 'magical' touches are there from the Disney days other than a lot of character branding. It feels more corporate than Disney-esque but there is a bit of Disney vibes sprinkled through, especially when it comes to upkeep ... I'd be amazed if Disney didn't manage the landscaping and painting. There is no real lobby area but plenty of sitting areas here and there. The best part is you will basically feel as though you are staying at a Disney property as you can walk to the Boardwalk or Beach Cub resorts, or catch a bus there, or even the Skyliner transportation if you just want to try a ride as it begins in the backside of Epcot, which is a picturesque 5-10 minute walk. They also have boat tenders to Epcot and one other location. I walked over to The Dolphin for a great breakfast buffet. Well worth the $22 and it had Mickey Waffles. If you want to save a bit of money on a Disney Resort, have most of the amenities (no Magic Band or Extra Magic Half-Hour though) and can deal without the Disney character branding, The Swan is a great alternative. I saved $50 by using the AAA rate but they made it back by charging $25 for self-parking and $39 resort fees!!! Make sure yiu add in the extras! And make sure you can do without wifi, as mine didn't work. One last praise ... the staff was fantastic! They are the only reason I gave 4 stars vs. 3 stars to penalize the high resort fees.

Yelp
Anthony and I stayed here a few weeks ago and we had a blast! Owned by Marriott, this resort is in a prime location for a really amazing price. I will say that all of the hidden fees are a bit shocking so be prepared for that! For example, a late check out from 11AM to 12PM was like $60! Parking is $35 a night I believe, which is also high. Then, there's also a resort fee of like $40 a night. But, even with all of the fees, the price of this resort is phenomenal compared to the other resorts close by, all of which are tan and operated by Disney. The room itself was very nice with a very comfy bed. The bathroom was comfortable as well, and we had plenty of space inside the room. Included with the hotel, there is a beautiful pool with several hot tubs and a water slide. The pool area is very fun. There's also Swan boats you can rent for free as well as an arcade, several coffee shops, and restaurants and bars. You can also take boat transportation to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios or walk via the Disney Boardwalk. A great hotel! We can't wait to stay at the Dolphin soon to compare!

Yelp
I have to say I have stayed at the swan and even the dolphin and I absolutely love this hotel. The proximity to Epcot and Hollywood studios and the bonus resort perks make it well worth staying here. Staff is always friendly. I will say the only issue is the parking. It's $45 for valet or $32 for self park. So staying at other resorts you do get the added bonus of parking price discounts or free self park but I guess it's the price you pay for other things. All in all this resort has a lot to offer and the multitude of food options since you have 2 resorts and with the added 3rd, swan reserve you have plenty to choose from.

Yelp
While Swan is much more "hotel-themed" than it is "Disney-themed"- except for the Mickey waffles, which can be found at Java and at Fresh Mediterranean Market across the way at Dolphin- that worked for our party of three adults. It was very sleek and modern. Among the highlights of the resort were the quiet courtyards, the bedding (which can actually be found for sale online), and the room size. Hotel was also well-kept. We stayed in a room with a view of Tower of Terror which was a treat. Room service food was fast-casual quality; while the minestrone and sushi were praised, the clam chowder and macaroni and cheese were not. Swan left a great impression on me and my family. This was our first time visiting and hopefully not the last.

Yelp
TERRIBLE CHECK-IN EXPERIENCE We checked in at the Swan for 10 days on November 18, 2023 at about 10:30 am. Since we had also booked a room for other family members we checked them in early afternoon. Their room was immediately available. It had a king bed with extra sink outside the main bath. Check-in time was actually 4 pm so we started the wait for our room. It wasn't ready at 4 pm. We checked again around 4:30 pm and it still wasn't ready. Now we began to ask questions and were told that the room wasn't ready since they had many people who had just checked out and staff had not cleaned all of the rooms yet. We waited a while longer and returned to the desk again. Same comment made and I inquired as to how long of a delay we could realistically expect. The employee told us that at the very latest our room would be ready by MIDNIGHT!!!! We were finally given a room but it didn't have the extra bathroom sink outside the main bath. Finally a manager stepped in to help.We had to accept queen beds instead of a king bed in order to get a room that we would accept. It was now after 5 pm and we had initially checked in at 10:30 am. The manager did give my husband some Marriott points due to the problems we encountered with check-in

Yelp
I reserved a room and paid extra for a balcony. I was unable to use it because people were constantly smoking weed. Additionally, the walls are paper thin and babies were screaming and crying as early as 4 am. The hotel sent wrong items to my room as well. Very poor experience considering they charge top dollar.

Yelp
Currently staying here and this hotel is truly not as advertised. I'm surprised at the low standards of cleanliness and customer service at a disney partnered hotel. My room has mold and random hairs all over the bathroom, there's also poop on the back of the toilet not from us... the front door leaks light which makes it hard for my kids to go to sleep. The room is also humid, when i told the front desk about this multiple times they said they would send someone up to check and it's been 2 nights and no one has checked. We're paying $44 a night for valet that never answers the phone to call for your car so you have to wait 30 mins for them to go get your car once you're down there. We are Titanium marriott members and are appalled by the service we are receiving. they also say they have no upgrade and instead want to charge us 150 more a night for adjoining rooms. Stay away! I will never ever stay here again! oh i almost forgot... the buses they use at the end of the night are roach coaches super inconvenient to take kids on if you have a stroller. OH and the "free breakfast" is continental so either a oatmeal or yogurt and a piece of toast... you get better breakfast at a quality inn and suites!

Yelp
With covid going on still but places opening up we took advantage of some really good room rates for Florida residents. First time here it was easy checking in but our room was not ready. We decided to go ahead over to Epcot and check in when we got back. We don't like doing this since we are eating and drinking all day and have to worry about going to the front desk to get bags and a room on our return is a pain. This was. We did not get a call all day saying our room was ready so it had to be worked out when we got back at 7pm. We were also told we would have a balcony...nope. But the room we did have was good for one night of course. Overall we were not pleased with the whole checking process but we are cutting everyone some slack due to the wuhan virus. We will try again for a longer period soon. The hotel has 3 sit down restaurants and quick service options. A Disney store as well. On normal days you can take the boats to epcot but not during covid. It is not a bad walk to the back entrance but Florida in August is how so pace yourself and take water. I could not see giving 5 stars on this trip. Will hope to upgrade my review on our next trip.

Yelp
The only 5 star feature of this hotel is the location, walking distance to Hollywood Studios, Epcot and Disney's Boardwalk, Beach and Yacht Club Resorts. The rooms are clean but are dated. At check in they give you an information sheet about what services are available during the pandemic. Housekeeping services are provided during your 4th day however we were only staying 3 days. The sheet states that you can request housekeeping while you are away from your room. Called the front desk and Juan told us that it is only available on the 4th day but that we could put linens and trash in the hallway. I also chatted through the Marriott App and was told no problem, we will put your room on the Housekeeping schedule today. . . That never happened. Don't have in on your sheet then that you can request housekeeping because it is not true! This is not the hotel to stay at if you are looking for a luxury stay there are better resorts in the area both Disney and Non Disney for that.

Yelp
This has been one of the worst hotels I've stayed at. They are doing construction early in the morning and is extremely loud and doesn't let you get enough sleep. We went to speak to the manager who didn't want to move us. Other staff were rude. I don't recommend this place. Overpriced and for nothing. Never coming back again.

Yelp
I stayed late October 2021 using an award booking through my AMEX Bonvoy card. Pros: It's a Marriott property (Westin) The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, per usual 2 bottles of Dasani water included in the room Westin heavenly beds are very comfortable. They do offer a nice platinum/ titanium/ ambassador perk for a welcome gift. (However I feel like my $35 resort fee paid for this perk) Tons of excellent on site restaurants and bars Cons: My room wasn't ready at 4, which is the published check in time. They don't honor the platinum perk of 4pm late check out. The front desk agent suggested I "check tomorrow", which I know is customer service speak for "no". There is a steep resort fee of $35 plus tax that seems unnecessary.

Yelp
Our room is clean and comfortable however the bell hops absolutely horrible. Our bags were delivered to another party and with who we are traveling with. They did not offer to bring the bags to our room they simply dropped him off and left we had to go to the other building to retrieve our bags. We spoke with two managers both of which never followed through on their promises. Simply the worst customer experience at any Marriott property. Our room was clean. The rooms are older but in decent shape.

Yelp
I was certainly impressed by this hotel. We stayed just for one night and it was lovely. Check in was a bit slow, but it seemed to have all the amenities that the bigger Disney hotels have. We used the shuttle for there at 6:30 bus arrives at 6:41 and took off at 6:43, don't be late! We made it to the park quickly for the early admission with time to spare.

Yelp
The Walt Disney World Swan is one of the most convenient hotels here at Disney. Close to Epcot AND Hollywood Studios - that is 2 out of the 4 parks right there! You can easily walk to both parks which i thought was great. There are also free shuttles to Magic Kingdom, Disney Springs, and Animal Kingdom. The shuttles start running 45 min before the parks open - including the early morning hours which guests that stay here can take advantage of! So Magic Kingdom opens at 9 am but if you're staying here, you can go at 8:30 and so catch the shuttle at 7:45! The only thing is that the shuttle will take you to the Disney Monorail area and you have to catch the monorail to get to Magic Kingdom which does add a little more time but you still will get there before 8:30 am (but so have the bazillion other Disney fanatics and let me tell you, there are A LOTTTTTT). For Animal Kingdom, it will take you to the huge Parking lot area and you have a walk a few minutes to get to the entrance. The Check-in process was easy and the front desk employees were so friendly. We arrived super early (since our flight got in early in the morning) and was able to leave our bags there while we headed to Epcot. We received a text to let us know when our room was ready! Getting our bags when we arrived back at the hotel was an easy process as well and the bags were brought to our room. I had requested to have an adjoining room with my mom and aunty and also requested to have my brother's room close to ours as well. I emailed the hotel before hand and was so appreciative that i received a response right away to let me know that my request had been put in. Not only did we have an adjoining room with my mom, my brother's room was right next door as well! Rooms were large and clean and we had a little balcony overlooking some of the swan property and looking straight towards the Dolphin hotel. The gym here was probably the best hotel gym I've ever seen! That right there is a great reason to stay here! There are a few restaurants here and a great store (Java) that has tons of ready to go food, snacks, and coffee! Service here is amazing. There is also a phone number you can text if you have any questions which i utilized quite a bit during my stay. The responses were always very quick and helpful and i thought this was a great tool that was offered at the Swan. Sometimes it's so hard to talk on the phone while speeding thru the park and trying to keep track of everyone so this texting feature was awesome. Overall, our stay here was wonderful and I would definitely stay here again!

Yelp
I don't recall the hotel I went to with my parents when I was a kid, but it definitely wasn't as nice as this place. Growing up has its perks. ;) I thought it would be overwhelmingly kid oriented and too animated, but it wasn't bad. Service was good and our long weekend stay wasn't too bad. Beds were cozy, the campus is large, easy to get around with the shuttles.

Yelp
They treat their employees like crap!!! Especially at the restaurant inside, Blue Zoo for months now they have been sending out their schedules 1, if they're lucky 2 days ahead of time and that's being generous! You're expected to work every single holiday they like to let you think you have an option to pick 1 (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or Christmas) to get off but then still schedule you all three!!! Currently their employees are not only working both Christmas Eve and Christmas but are also working 8-9 days straight with 1 day off then working the next 7-8 days straight and always called in on that one day off! The restaurant also is supposed to be closed Tuesday and Wednesday but whenever the hotel feels necessary they make them open those days and like I stated before they only will know 1-2 days ahead of time so a lot of the time spouses, kids, etc are getting screwed because of it! I have lost 2 different jobs because of this exact issue and my spouse is scheduled randomly on days I give my jobs open availability. They have ZERO care for their employees, they treat them like cattle not humans that's have lives and mental health to worry about! Not a place I'd give my money to that's for sure! Oh and another thing I think is ridiculous they're the only Disney hotel that have "Disney" employees but yet don't get any tickets, no discounts, nothing because the new ceo owner whatever he is is a cheap skate and didn't want to give their employee that extra bonus! Again they don't care about their employees!

Yelp
I stayed at this resort 10 years ago, wasn't Yelping back then. My experience today was much better than a decade ago. The line to register-check in was pretty long during the mid-afternoon. A customer service representative from a different station waved me over and that's where the experience became better. Long story short, my room was upgraded and all my questions were professionally answered to my satisfaction. The fitness center is 24 hours, located on the lower level. People have returned in droves to this Disney resort and the staff are happy to be back at work. Magic Kingdom is open for business

Mel L.

Yelp
We stayed at the Swan for 5 nights this month. Overall, we had a nice stay since our room was clean & spacious enough, it came with a mini fridge & a coffee maker and water & coffee pads were replenished every day. We had a couple of initial hiccups with the housekeeping staff that we had to address (afterwards, everything was great though). The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful - no complaints there. They don't have any laundry facilities onsite, but you can walk to the Dolphin next door and use their machines. The food/restaurant options onsite are very expensive. Tipp: If you want to save money order pizza from Papa John's or use GrubHub to get food delivered. We tried both on several occasions and it worked well. :)
