We feel this is one of the grandest homes we have seen in the Garden District. The iron work and details are superb and the brick sidewalks really accent the home. Construction began before the War Between the States and was completed after. We were not able to enter the home and my review is based on our outside view and comments from the tour guide. This is definitely one of the most beautiful homes in the area and a mistake to miss.

This is a historic landmark antebellum mansion in the Garden District. It's fully gated and privately owned so there's no getting closer than the sidewalk. There's a placquard on the corner giving a brief historical background of the property but that's about it. This is to be briefly viewed on a walking tour of the neighborhood

Gorgeous mansion in the garden district, some interesting history, a good walk by selection. Check out the fountain, landscaping and surrounding area

Great to just walk around and see some of these mansions. There are many close to one another for a great short walk

Walter Grinnan Robinson House – 1415 Third Street. Built in 1859 and the work of New Orleans’ most famous architect Henry Howard, this mansion and its adjacent servant quarters and stable recently underwent a tremendous renovation. It’s also for sale. If you can imagine yourself sipping Champagne from the second story gallery, this home can be yours for a mere $9.5 million.

Nice house in a great neighborhood. The City of NO needs to do something about the sidewalks. They are raised in many spots due to trees.
