This charming restaurant in the heart of Bolzano offers both indoor and outdoor seating, perfect for enjoying the lively atmosphere of Walther Square. We chose to sit outside, soaking in the pleasant weather and vibrant street views. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming—some of them Arabic-speaking—which added a warm, personal touch. For lunch, we ordered spaghetti, lasagna, and coffee, all of which were absolutely delicious. The service was prompt and cheerful, making the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this lovely spot for its great food, scenic location, and inviting ambiance. A true gem in Bolzano’s city center.

Here I had the best gluten-free pizza I’ve ever tasted. It was so close to the real pizza dough taste I couldn’t believe it. Such a pleasure for us to have dinner at Walther’s. Everything was super delicious and had so many other gluten-free options available. That’s so nice. Also the staff were extremely friendly, the atmosphere was nice. Would definitely recommend and come back if I have the chance to.

Always a pleasure to eat here. The view of Piazza Walther was really nice at sunset. I love the pastă a with tomato sauce, basil and I order with extra buratta 😍 it’s one of my favorite dishes. My husband ordered English-style roasted beef, it was really good. Would recommend eating here!

This was a fun place to enjoy a cool sprtiz. The drinks didn't come in the typical wine glass with a straw but they were still good and it was more sitting in the square. We did get a little snack of chips and something else that were quite tasty. There was a guy pin the Plaza playing guitar which made for nice background music.

I’m always extremely happy to find restaurants like this one that offer a wide range of gluten-free options. The food was tasty, and the staff was friendly. However, we had to wait more than half an hour for the pizza. In addition, my husband’s pizza was brought out quite a bit before mine. The gluten-free strudel was good, but the regular one left my husband unimpressed.

My wife has a diet that is probably the worst thing to have while traveling in Europe: gluten-free. All of the great breads, pies, pastries, etc. But she found this restaurant on the square, close to our hotel. I went in expecting it to be decent. And boy was I wrong... The head manager/owner greeted us and got us seated, and we proceeded to have one of the best meals I've had in a long time. The staff were genuine, professional, but also real. They were funny, even. The food was perfect... It wasn't over-the-top in trying to be too fancy, too "fusioned," or anything of the sort. It wasn't anything other than sublime. Beef tagliata with shaved truffle, which my wife cleaned every morsel of - and my roasted spring chicken had this subtle flavoring and perfect level of roasting that let all of the flavors work beautifully. We ended up having dessert and two glasses of a delicious amaro - and much laughter with our very sharp and lively serving team... It was an amazing evening, and to add to our own enjoyment, the whole mood of the place was truly warm and friendly, full of locals who knew it to be a great spot to dine. I'll definitely be back. This place just passed up several of the more "chic" and "classic/classy" spots in this beautiful town - and there is some real competition in Bolzano. Thank you for a glorious evening, Walther's!

Food was very delicious, we took pasta and pizza capriciosa plus drinks. I rarely post reviews, but the food and especially service by Valentino were outstanding. Thank you, Valentino, you made our day.

Great for celiacs! The staff is so nice and caring with gluten-free food. They made sure to come to me first, asking for my order, so no mistakes were made. And I got my food first too with a little red flag in it stating "gluten-free". All the desserts are gluten-free! The tiramisu and pizza are incredible. We made a reservation again afterwards for the next night 😄

Yelp
We enjoyed good food, good service and a nice outdoor atmosphere. We would return when here next.

Yelp
Coffee, Spritz & service here saved the day for the restaurant and hence the three stars. It would have been two stars or less. It's a big restaurant located directly opposite the Duomo and has plenty of outdoor seating. The location is such that it gets a lot of sunshine and tourists. The menu is extensive with pasta, salads, mains and pizza. I had the gnocchi with saffron and salsicca and it was ordinary and almost without taste or flavor. I had to add lots of pepper and salt to make it edible. The salad was nice and fresh and the pizza bread we had was also plain and lacking any punch. They make a good aperolspritz beer and the coffee is good. I will come back for a drink but not for food. Service is quick and friendly and you don't need to reserve as there is plenty of seating. It's an ok place in the heart of Bolzano.

Yelp
After participating in Bolzano in Bici, we were desperate for a place to eat lunch. Fortunately, the restaurant at Walthers stays open throughout the afternoon (although the pizzeria closes 2:30 to 5 or 6). My wife had an outstanding gluten-free penne pasta dish (vegetarian), and I had a vegan Napoli pizza. We also shared a "small" mixed salad that was PLENTY. The GF penne was just as good as any "regular" pasta I have tasted. Lovely outdoor seating on the piazza, just like I'm always dreaming of. This restaurant takes "gluten-free" very seriously - they put a small "Gluten-Free" flag on all GF plates, and sternly advised my wife not to eat anything that did not have a flag on it. They also brought her a delicious GF dinner roll (sealed in a paper bag to protect it from contamination, but freshly made) that was the best GF bread we have seen on this trip.

Yelp
No question, the location at the Walther square is scenic. In my eyes a typical South Tyrolian, German/Austrian/Italian fusion kitchen. Be careful this place is pricy, but the food is excellent. We have been here many times since many years
