Wanaka Homestead Lodge and Cottages

We were blown away by the hospitality here. Beautiful lodge with warm stove for the cool evenings. Short walk past redwoods to that Wānaka tree! Great local walks with views up Mt Iron and drives up the lake too. We only planned 1 night but extended to 2. Wānaka itself is a charming little town with plenty of pubs and eateries - well worth a stop if you’re touring New Zealand!

Absolutely adored our stay at the Wanaka Homestead. Gabi met us and gave so many great recommendations, she is so warm and lovely. The facilities were great, fireplace and hot tub especially lovely on a cold winter night. So close to the lake and an easy walk into town. Definitely hope to be back some day.

Stop looking for accommodation in Wanaka. Just go ahead and book the Wanaka Homestead Lodge and Cottages. My partner and I stayed in May 25. Allan the owner/manager was very helpful, offering loads of information for dining and experiencing the local area. The Lodge is located within a short stroll to the center of town and close to nearby walking trails and parks. There is a beautiful cosy loungeroom, hot tub and laundry all for free guest use. The rooms are clean and have homely touches. Do not hesitate to book this accommodation. I highly recommend the stay.

This was a unique but welcomed travel experience. It was like you were staying in someone's comfortable home, and with more privacy. We were impressed they had central air conditioning. The buildings were clean and of the "craftsman" style. Free laundry. Very nice "living room" with books about the islands. This was a friendly cozy change from the standard hotel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Homestead. Tania welcomed us warmly and took time to share all the information we needed to make the most of our stay. The propery is in a lovely location adjacent to parkland and a lakeside walk. There are many amenties for guests both inside and outside. Our bedroom in the lodge was beautiful and comfortable. Highly recommend.

JUST WOW!! Everything about our stay at The Wanaka Homestead was amazing, we stayed for 2 nights for our Elopement in Wanaka and are so happy that we found the Homestead. Tania is an amazing host, always so warm and friendly, she has lots of helpful local information, and her pre arrival communication was so great. The property its self is in such a peaceful setting, with a beautifully maintained outdoor area. It is only a short walk from the lake, through a lovely park and a nice walk into town via the lake front. We can't wait to come back!

Our room was well appointed, the bed comfortabel and the bathroom with walk in shower all immaculatlely clean.|There was outside and inside space to have a tea or coffee, which you made yourself. A laundry was also available.|Tania welcomed us on arrival and gave us advice about the local restaurants.

Our stay at Wanaka Homestead Lodge and Cottages was fantastic. Our room was really lovely, clean, cosy and comfortable. Our host Tania was super helpful and friendly. The facilities at the lodge were amazing, spa, lovely outdoor area and tea coffee and biscuits available whenever you wanted to help yourself. Situated not far from town with restaurants and cafes close by. Also right near the beautiful Wanake Lake. Would highly recommend staying at Wanaka Homestead Lodge.
