Even nearly two years after our wedding (Aug 2024), people still rave about our food. Many say it was the best wedding meal they’ve ever had 😱 We hired Wandering Table for both catering and bar service, and it was one of the best decisions we made throughout the entire planning process. Not only was it more economical than hiring our venue's preferred catering vendors, but it was impressive how April worked in all of our special requests and ensuring each dish was packed with flavor yet cohesive.
As Asian Americans (I’m Vietnamese, my partner is Korean), we wanted our menu to reflect both our cultures while blending in Western elements. April completely embraced that vision. She was warm, collaborative, flexible, and took our feedback seriously during the tasting.
One small hiccup: we later learned a table missed out on the galette—likely a mix-up during serving. But honestly, better to miss one dish than have the food be forgettable.
If you want catering and bar service that’s intentional, delicious, and reflective of your story, go with Wandering Table. April made our vision come alive and gave our guests something to remember long after the last bite.
Here's our menu for anyone curious:
Cocktail Hour (4) - beet napoleon, croquette de jamon, vietnamese caramel pork belly skewer (thịt kho), mushroom rice roll (bánh cuốn)
Salads (2) - chinese-style cold smashed cucumber salad, roasted butternut squash & quinoa salad
Mains (3) - miso glazed black cod, braised short ribs (kkalbijjim), pesto primavera pasta
Sides, etc. (5) - miso glazed brussel sprouts, heirloom tomato & basil galette, steamed white rice, macrina dinner rolls, housemade chili oil crisp
Special drinks (3) - korean pear mojito (made with soju!), vietnamese limeade soda (April did the chanh muối herself!), basil peach shrub (non-alcoholic)
