I was in Sayulita last week with friends to celebrate a birthday. We had one day left and were brainstorming what we should do with our last day. One of my friends had also visited earlier this year and posted photos of a beautiful beach yoga session. I reached out to her for info and I am so thankful I did because she directed me to Wanderlust Sayulita.
I reached out late on a Thursday afternoon with a pretty big ask - we only had one day left so it was fairly short notice to get us in on Friday the next day. Thankfully the Wanderlust team replied promptly and while unfortunately the Friday morning session wasn’t available, they could fit us in the afternoon.
The hike up wasn’t very long but there were some small climbs up some rocks along the ocean. The views were absolutely incredible. It was pretty hot and humid and I got sweaty real fast so I jumped into the water immediately upon arrival at the final destination. The beach was completely isolated and so beautiful and the fact that we had it entirely to ourselves was amazing. Diane led us through a peaceful yoga session as the sun set over the beach - it was the most magical experience. After yoga, we enjoyed the water a bit more before heading back.
The hike back was in the dark and we needed our cell phone lights to traverse so it was a little scary but still fun as we chatted along the way.
The hike through the jungle, the incredible views, the peaceful yoga, the beautiful beach and sunset, and the companionship of Diane and Jair were all simply amazing. Highly recommend!!
