Wang Lang Market

A very interesting market for a foreign tourist. Narrow, crowded streets. Lots of stalls selling all kinds of food, each more appetizing, more interesting. Tailors doing their job on the street. Stalls with clothes, household items, tiny cafes, street vendors. A small altar, with freshly left offerings. A different, spectacular world.

A lovely small local market with many street foods and clothes in some narrow alley. A worthy trying experience. You can go to Wang lang by boat, that a fun experience too.

Wang Lang Market is very convenient and lively, located just next to the hospital, making it easy to reach. The products here are very affordable and the variety is impressive. You can find almost everything, from clothes and accessories to street food and daily necessities. It’s a great place for both shopping and trying local flavors.

Many delicious local food, easily accessible from the river cruise by purchasing a day pass ($4). Great place to visit before late afternoon as most stalls are closed by then. Come hungry

Amazing moderately sized market with lots of great food, things to see and gifts to buy. Lots of locals and visitors alike. One of the most pleasant Bangkok markets I’ve visited.

A bit crowded on Friday morning. Cheaper way to go is to use public service boat. Lots of food and beverages. Nice and clean.

A lovely local experience a short boat ride from Sathorn. Get off at the Prannok pier and wander through the narrow alleyways to buy nothing special, really, but simply to take in what Thais love to do: shop and eat simply and cheap. There are a few local eateries along the way and don't miss the vintage (second-hand)) cloth and shoe stores, where I once found a 100% silk scarf for just 100 baht!
