Wang Mester Restaurant

Found this Chinese restaurant online while looking for a place to eat – and what a great discovery it was! The food was full of flavor, freshly made, and beautifully served. Our waiter was truly amazing – friendly, helpful, and clearly knew the menu well. He recommended what to try, and everything he suggested was absolutely delicious. It’s one of those places you’re so glad you found by chance. Highly recommend and would definitely come back!

This is a must stop, must try place. The portions are enormous and taste fantastic. I’ve been to countless restaurants offering Chinese food but Wang is a special one. We’ve ordered pork knuckle and Gong Bao prawns and both were delicious, also as in every other Zwang restaurant the hike made fried pasta is a must order every time. The service was also very well organized, and also very very fast. I especially congratulate Herbeth Szabolcs who served us, he gave very good recommendations and really was looking out for our every wish. 10/10.

This is one of my favorite authentic Chinese restaurants. They serve high-quality food for a reasonable price in a very nice environment. I brought my friends there to have a huge feast, and we tried a lot of different dishes. All of the dishes were extremely delicious. It is nice that they have foods from different regions of China, so it is not only one type of flavor profile that one can try. The portions are huge. A simple dish with a bowl of rice can probably feed two, maybe even three people. The staff was super friendly and nice. They created a good atmosphere. I also like the way they explained the foods to us. They are really well-prepared and know a lot about the dishes.

I was prepare for a nice dinner, but unfortunately my soup and also the main dish was over-salted. The jasmine tea was really good. I am so sorry to say, but I am a little bit disappointed 😔

Loved it! Delicious and authentic sichuan style Chinese food! Restaurant has a good atmosphere, friendly and helpful wait staff. We had steamed dumplings, home made fried noodles Wang style and Beijing style chicken. All were very delicious. They have a big menu we had a hard time choosing our food.

I have visited this restaurant couple of times, it had always been a great experience. This time however the pork ear was slightly off (not totally, just at the edge but definitely not fresh). I mentioned it to the waiter, he promised to check it out but then... silence. Not something I would expect from this restaurant.

I have been here a few times, the food was excellent and authentic, worth trying. Prices are high, ambience is good with mice calm music. Unfortunately the service is horrible, the waiters are slow and lazy. They do not react when I ask them to attend. They are busy chatting with each other. There was only me at the restaurant and I had to wait like 5-10 minutes to get someone's attention. In one of my dishes I found a piece of metal - this should not happen in a restaurant of this class. Besides it was difficult to report this problem as I did not get attention of the staff. I had to wait 15 minutes for the check and I missed my train from Zugló. Anyway the manager should improve the service, better training or supervision. I understand that adding 17% of tip automatically is demotivating for the personel, as they are rewarded regardless of their effort. I am hesitant to return now, although the food is excellent.

This is the best and most authentic Chinese restaurant I have visited so far in Budapest. It worths a visit if you would like to try Chinese cuisines. Nonetheless, there are two things which the restaurant could improve better. The baby high chairs were very dirty and sticky. I tried to clean with the wet papers a few times but the sticky stains couldn’t be removed. The toilets could be cleaned better as well.
