All sushi is fresh from the day, they have excellent flavors in other menu items, and there is service to take out (bento). You can sit by the sushi bar or have a table.

Google
is super good — like, seriously tasty. I really love the flavors and everything feels pretty authentic. But ngl, the service isn’t what it used to be. It took a while to get our food and the staff didn’t seem that into helping out. Still worth it for the food, but I kinda miss how it used to be. Hope they step it up again.

In 3 years and 7 countries this was the most enjoyable meal my husband and I had out together. No special occasion or anything “fancy”. Just a few dishes, drinks, and desserts. No gimmicks. Just subtle quality at a decent price. The nigiri melted in your mouth. We tried three desserts and they were all great. Our servers were very kind. We can’t wait to come back one day.

Google
Super reasonable prices and great food and service. This was a popular place. Sushi was good and also the Curry. It had a very authentic feel.

At first the place looks like a piece of Tokyo with nice decor and lots of chefs in the open kitchen. Soon, however we noticed their total lack of hygiene standards. The food ingredients were handled with such negligence, grabbing raw chicken, raw fish, rolling wasabi and touching kitchen equipment with the same, unwashed hands. Also the chefs were passing around the raw fish pieces between each other like it was a ball they were playing with. Worst of all was when we found out that there was no running water at the toilet! How can you be sure that they even CAN wash their hands? Luckily we did not get food poisoned…

Very disappointed. We waited nearly 50 minutes for 2 bowls of ramen and they came out lukewarm. Expensive with an ok portion. The miso ramen is extremely salty. If you want a good ramen. Do not come here.

WAN WAN is always a great experience. I particularly enjoy dishes that are not so common in other Japanese style restaurants, like the seafood salad. This time I didn’t go for ramen because of the warm weather but instead opted for some katsudon, which was top quality and very reasonably priced. It’s definitely worth to try this restaurant.

Regarding its highlights, I was quite disappointed. The green tea was neither fresh nor hot (you can tell from the brownish color), the Chawanmushi arrived after the main dish and was plain in flavor, and the salmon don was also tasteless (the over-grilled salmon was such a waste). Not to mention the tiny bar seat, which was difficult to move.

Yelp
I'm only writing my review based on the ramen and nothing else. I've been fortunate enough to try different types of ramen in L.A. and in Japan. I was very excited to try this ramen since I saw people posting on a couple of subreddit so I decided to give it a try. I had the Tokusei ramen. For starters, the smell was a little odd and the broth was very light in color and weight. The chashu seemed to be undercooked and more on the soft side. Noodles texture was good but what caught me off guard was the egg. It had weird gray lines all over. At the beginning I thought it was the way they serve the egg but my son had the same ramen and his was normal. I asked to change it so they did. When I try it, it was also undercooked and flavorless. Overall I felt like the ramen felt short. My wife had the udon and it was very good. Also service was friendly. Maybe I'll come back to try their sashimi since I see people commenting good things about it.

Yelp
They serve authentic Japanese food for a competitive price. I liked the old Japanese rustic design. The Salmon bowl was very fresh and the green tea accompanied the dishes perfectly. The potato Salad was smooth. The fried chicken had an authentic Japanese flavor. The spring rolls were perfectly friend and had an authentic flavor. Great variety of dishes on the menu. Very cute place.

Yelp
As a Japanese person who was born and raised in Japan, I didn't expect to find this hidden gem in Mexico City! The decor was legit Japanese izakaya in the Showa era. The food was definitely better than I expected. Will definitely come back.

Yelp
Wan Wan had delicious ramen! I was so satisfied with the bowl I had. I ordered the thin noodles and it reminded me of Ichiran. The broth isn't quite what you would find in Japan but it's so rich and flavorful. Would recommend!

Yelp
I had Tokusei Ramen paired with Sapporo and sake. The combination was delicious. Our server Edgar was amazing. He was very attentive and nice, not only to us but everyone is his section. I highly recommend eating here if you are in Mexico City.

Yelp
Nice and affordable Japanese spot. Close to the Angel. We tried multiple salads/starters, the nankotsu karaage (which was made with chicken breast cartilage, not the knees), a sashimi moriawase, and a couple of rolls. The taste was authentic, and the portions were Japanese standard. We enjoyed it. They lost a star due to the service, they forgot our order twice & we had to reorder, and this is despite the order being written down. I'd come back however, the food was good!

Yelp
I was simply disappointed at the customer service plus the food at this place. I eat the ramen which is one of my favorite things about Japanese food, and I was surprised how salted it was . I can bare eat most of the ramen because it was too salty. The sushi was completely disappointing, it had no texture whatsoever ever. The customer was lacking , and I was even more surprised about that. I can't recommend this place to eat.

Yelp
Delicious ramen. Reminded me of ramen I recently had in New York City. California roll was fresh and tasty. Would definitely come back
