Wapa di Ume Sidemen

We spent a few days at Wapa di Ume in Bali with our children and were absolutely delighted. The entire resort is beautifully maintained and set in a stunning garden that creates a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.|Our tent was spacious, beautifully decorated, and very clean. What really made our stay exceptional was the outstanding service. The staff were all extremely friendly, attentive, and thorough. You truly feel welcome and well taken care of from the moment you arrive.|A special thank you to Gede, our driver and guide, who was incredibly courteous, spoke excellent English, and was so kind and engaging with our kids – we really appreciated that. Also to Mahendra who made a great Trip to Besaki Temple with us.|Adi and Budi from the restaurant/lounge provided excellent service and made us feel right at home.|At the reception, Wayan and Sri were extremely friendly and helpful – always ready to assist with anything we needed.|This is a place to truly relax and enjoy. We would love to come back!

This is an absolutely gorgeous hotel set in the beautiful Sidemen. It is tranquil, quiet and stunning views at every turn - very different to what you experience elsewhere in Bali! The pool setting is incredible - I think probably the nicest view we’ve had from a pool area at a hotel. On top of this, the staff are just wonderful. They are really helpful and friendly and just lovely people. We did a day trip through the hotel to Gembleng waterfall with Hardi as our guide, and he was great to have with us and we would definitely recommend this trip and him as a guide. We also went to Koli Koli for a few hours another day and Wayan drove us there and back for free, which was really kind and we enjoyed chatting to him in the car! Thank you too to Pande for all of his help on the last night sorting out breakfast to go and checking our airport transport for us. A lot of 5 star hotels have a lot to learn from Wapa Di Ume - we would love to come back one day and would absolutely recommend it to others if you want a peaceful holiday in a slice of real Bali with beautiful views and beautiful staff!

Wapa Di ume Sidemen is out of this world. Everything about this hotel is beautiful and luxurious. We had the best time here as part of our honeymoon in Bali. We only stayed 2 nights but we could have stayed longer. The views from this hotel are unreal!! We got a couples massage and a private dinner whilst here and they were also amazing memorable experiences. The staff are so friendly and helpful, Mahen one of the staff members took us to visit Gembling waterfall, it was also beautiful to see and a cool experience, he was very kind and helpful. Jana was our waiter for the private dinner and he was so lovely. |We would definitely recommend anyone to visit Sidemen just to stay in this hotel.

We stayed at Wapa di Ume Sidemen for 2 nights and had a wonderful experience despite arriving after a rough start. On the way there, my wife and I had to endure Bali’s recent storm and flooding, which dampened our spirits—especially since it wasn’t supposed to be rainy season.||But as soon as we arrived in the early evening, everything turned around. We were warmly welcomed by Eka, a fantastic staff member who immediately made us feel at home. He performed a traditional spiritual ceremony for us, the Benang Tridatu, which was such a special and memorable gesture. Throughout our stay, whenever we needed anything, Eka was there to help with kindness and sincerity. Having worked as a manager in the hospitality industry myself, I can say it’s rare and refreshing to still find staff who genuinely serve from the heart rather than just following the standard operating procedure.||The property itself is beautiful and peaceful. The room was comfortable, the restaurant served great food, and the entire staff were consistently friendly and attentive.||One thing I’d remind future guests: this is Bali. It’s a tropical island—it’s hot, there are bugs, and the environment is part of the charm. Do your research before you come, and manage your expectations. Wapa di Ume is a luxury boutique resort, which is very different from a global luxury chain like the Ritz-Carlton. For the $300–$400 USD range, the experience here is more than worth it.||Overall, our stay was relaxing, memorable, and heartwarming. Thank you Eka and the entire team—we will definitely be back in the future, and we hope to see Eka again when we return!

We have been fortunate to stay in many hotels around the world, but our time at Wapa di Ume Sidemen stands out as one of the most memorable experiences we’ve ever had.||We stayed in the Luxury Tent with Pool, beautifully set amidst the rice fields, right by the river, with breathtaking views over the valley. The location itself is magical and gives you a true sense of peace and connection to Bali’s natural beauty.||But as stunning as the property is, it’s the people who made our stay truly unforgettable. The hospitality, warmth, and kindness of the staff were beyond anything we have experienced before. From the management, to the chef, to the wonderful guys who helped us with our luggage (Putra Eka) – everyone contributed to making us feel at home. And last but certainly not least to Gede, our multilingual guide, with whom we shared many laughs.||We also want to apologize for not looking our best ;) in the photo when we were honored to be the very first guests at the newly opened coffee and tea building. Everything about our stay was absolutely incredible—truly out of this world. The hospitality my husband and I received during our four nights here was beyond anything we’ve ever experienced. The staff’s friendliness, professionalism, and attentiveness were outstanding.||We’ve stayed in many beautiful places around the world, but nowhere has ever matched the hospitality we felt here. Every member of the team—from reception and restaurant staff to maintenance, gardening, and security—was so warm, welcoming, and genuine. Their care and kindness made our stay feel truly special and wholesome.||Of course, the food, scenery, rooms, and facilities were all flawless—an easy 10/10. But it was the staff who made this trip unforgettable. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️|We spent 4 nights at Wapa Lux Tent and it was incredible from start to finish. The staff made us feel so welcome — always greeting us with a smile and doing everything they could to make our stay special. It genuinely felt like we had the whole place to ourselves.||The resort is stunning: beautiful gardens, spotless rooms, amazing pools, and excellent food. Check-in was seamless, and the team went above and beyond for our honeymoon with flowers on the bed, a lovely message in petals, and even a cake.||If you’re visiting Bali, this place is a must. Peaceful, relaxing, and far from the noise of the towns and traffic — we’d come back in a heartbeat

My girlfriend and I had a fantastic day with Gede. He drove us to the virgin beach, Tirta Ganga and showed us around. Along the way he explained the history of Bali and the places we visited and gave great tips on how to arrange the rest of our journey in Bali. As for the driving, we felt super safe with Gede . He was very careful and the trip went very smooth. He also helped us make some cool photos at the palace so absolutely 10/10 experience!
