My favorite art gallery in Oakland. This gallery always has a great selection of art and sometimes live music! There is a restroom available (crucial during First Fridays). Also, there is a cute cash bar in the back with wine and beer, sometimes cocktails. The owner Chris is a friendly lady and a great bartender. The proceeds for the bar support Oakland art students! Make sure you bring cash for the kids!

We had our wedding reception here. Everything was wonderful except that the projector didn't work which was super super sad. Next time I suggest having it checked before the big day. The atmosphere was great and the food was 5+++ stars. So generous and thoughtful. I gave her a budget and gave her two requests (vegetarian/vegan options and BBQ chicken/veggies). She came up with a delicious menu and table setting herself. It was so great that we didn't have to think about anything. She even gave us a doggie bag to take back to our hotel after the party. Thank you for hosting the most incredible evening of our lives.

Nice place to have an event. The only problem is there's limited parking. The owner should let people know when reserving venue that cars are broken into on that street.

Great barbershop. They accept walk-ins and appointments. I personally go to Darrel. But all the barbers have a loyal clientele.

Terrific local art, super First Friday fun AND the only place in the neighborhood that serves alcohol on First Friday.

The people behind this place really care about everyone in their community. Post your art there, host an event there.

Yelp
Rented Warehouse416 for my parents surprise 70th birthday party this last weekend. Such an amazing spot. Christine was very kind and patient with our indecisiveness in the setup and let us move things around as needed and to our liking. I really enjoyed the party and this space! I highly recommend.

Yelp
Our kids had our 70th surprise birthday party at warehouse 416. It's a beautiful brick building inside, parking was easy and the owner was very sweet.

Yelp
Attended a private event here (graduation party) and it was awesome! Such a cool space and loved that some of the artwork was still up. Plenty of space for 100+ people and we loved the exposed brick, plants and interesting objects around the warehouse. Bar area was perfect for beer/wine and the bathroom was super clean. Definitely a great place for a party!

Yelp
Very nice event space! A friend of mine hosts dinners here. The location is perfect because it is walking distance to all the best bars in Oakland. 4 stars instead of 5 because there is only 1 bathroom, and it isn't too affordable to rent out. But the owners are very kind, the art on the wall is nice, there is a kitchen, and enough space to comfortably fit about 50 people.

Yelp
I came here for a birthday party. The place is spacious and it was a wise decision by the birthday girl to come here as the price was reasonable and, from what I can tell, the owners are gracious. A word of caution: This is not the best area in town. Park down the street if you will but note that my car window was smashed by a person hoping to find valuable contents in the trunk of my car. Fortunately, all they smashed was the little window in the back (I've seen Tesla's...and no, I don't own one of those...that have had several windows smashed...can you imagine the high deductible to pay for that fix? Zoinks!) of my car but the feeling of violation and the annoyance put a damper on the night. In short, if you can use a car service to get here, you'll enjoy the evening a whole lot better!

Yelp
We just had my husband's 40th birthday bash here and it was awesome. Christine and her family are the best!! If you're respectful of the space and their time she will go out of her way to make sure you have what you need. She hung a piñata in the room for us while we were setting up and generously insisted to help carry things when I was several months pregnant. The space itself was an incredibly pleasant surprise to our guests as it's casual and hip. Best of all, we made a ton of noise playing games and blaring music and were never asked to modify our party in any way. Just an extremely great experience all around. Thank you guys so much--we will be back!!

Yelp
We rented Warehouse 416 to host the dinner portion of our wedding, for 50 people. We knew we wanted to use a paella caterer, but had been searching for months for the right venue. Everything was ridiculously overpriced. I initially overlooked Warehouse 416 because I was certain I'd seen their pricing online and we couldn't afford it. But I must've been confused, because when my husband inquired about costs we discovered that it was actually in our price range - and by far the most affordable gallery venue around. I was sure we'd been quoted wrong, but when I met with the owner, Ron, he confirmed it - he sets his prices intentionally and chooses events that will work well in the space. And the gallery suited us perfectly - it was a great size for our group of 50, with room for a sit-down dinner and mingling in the entryway. Everyone loved the decor - the gallery itself is eye-catching, and the artwork on display (which rotates monthly) was great. We needed no extra decorations - no flowers or anything - it would've been superfluous. Ron was gracious enough to open the venue a few weeks before our event to show the space to our caterer, and as I stood there, the 2 of them sorted out all the details. That's when I knew I was in good hands. (Incidentally, paella works wonderfully in this space - check out Nora Spanish Catering for details.) Ron provided tables and chairs, and set them up before the caterers arrived, so all they had to do was lay the linens and prepare the food. And we walked in to a perfect event-in-progress: everything looked gorgeous and ran smoothly. Our guests kept complimenting us on the unique space, and it was the ideal spot to end our 2-day event. Highly recommend. Thanks Ron!

Yelp
I absolutely love this unique event space! I have attended many decked out events here before as well as hosted my own celebrations. Chris, one of the owners and the team of people who manage the venue are truly amazing and provide stellar customer service. It has always been a seamless and enjoyable experience in booking the venue as Chris is very friendly and professional. Warehouse 416 is versatile and with any vision, you can turn it into what you want. I am so excited to host more events at this hidden gem!

Yelp
Warehouse 416 is a gem among the Art Murmur galleries. A little off the beaten path from say Rock, Paper, Scissors, Mama Buzz or the rest of the murmur throng, it's close enough to walk and far enough away to not have to deal with the crowds. The space itself is versatile and welcoming with its large entry and industrial feel. There's a smaller room within the gallery itself which I believe they rent out on request. I've only seen two of their shows so far and was impressed by the variety and caliber of the work showing. At their last opening they had a killer falafel truck parked outside which was a major bonus since, again, the crowd was not unbearable to navigate. Will definitely be back to see what's next...

Yelp
Love this place especially the first Friday of the month event. Great host by Chris and excellent bar drink and service. All for non profit! Various local talented artist and you must visit.

Yelp
I booked this event for my fiancé's 30th birthday and the venue is beautiful. We enjoyed the artwork and the ambiance of the place. Ron was very nice and accommodating and responds very fast to inquires. Why 1 star??? The attendant who was there to "help" is the reason I'm giving this review 1 star. She was rude, completely unprofessional, lacking any empathy. 1st, my mother-in-law asked her if she was the bartender because she was the only one in the venue with us during set-up. The lady replied, "why would you ask that, I'm more like a baby sitter". Her condescending language and demeanor offended every guest she came in contact with. 2nd, The birthday boy used a ladder to get some balloons down from the ceiling that we paid over $150 for and she was so upset. She told him that, "that was unacceptable and she wasn't comfortable with it." I thought I paid for "event insurance" to cover any accidents and utilizing ladders is apart of his profession. He was safe getting the balloons down! 3rd, Around 12:30am, the neighbor from across the street accused one of our "imaginary guests" of hitting his building. He automatically assumed it was my party because people were outside smoking. He didn't call the police, there is no damages to his building, (I have pictures) nor did he see the person actually leave from our venue. Then she continues to tell me that my guests was unwilling to help her, when they told her specifically that they didn't know who that person was. Parking and the venue is on a public street in downtown Oakland! 4th, My mother accidentally took my cars keys home and we couldn't load my vehicle until 1:00am. We paid for the venue for 6 hours and arrived at 7:30pm. She kept telling us we only had 10 mins to be out. She wasn't understanding or helpful in any shape or form. 5th, I dropped a box outside and my glass candy dishes broke, (they were my grandmother's and I'm still very sad about this). I asked her for a broom to sweep and she replied, "we don't have a broom". I don't understand how a venue with a concrete slab doesn't have a broom. But, I took a video before I left at 1:30am, just in case they try to make any claims. It's so unfortunate that I have to leave a 1 star review at such a beautiful place. But I expect respect, help, better service, and understanding especially after all the money we spent. But, I guess if our skin was fairer we wouldn't have had these issues.

Yelp
Ron was great to work with and the venue was original/unique. Very quaint - easy to decorate...highly recommend! As a matter of fact, we're going back again for our holiday party!

Yelp
What a great spot to host a party! We had 50 or so people here last week for a holiday party and the space made it! Ron and Angela were terrific to work with, made sure we had anything we needed (saved us when we forgot stuff) and the space itself was decorated with lights and great art. Parking was much easier than anticipated. Nora Spanish Catering provided the paella and delicious food (highly recommend them too). Thanks Warehouse 416!

Yelp
We had the opportunity to work with Ron for two events supporting our Oakland teachers at Warehouse 416 and both were awesome. Over four years, I've booked numerous venues in Oakland for events and Warehouse 416 has been the best. It's spacious, creative, and has a warm and inviting vibe. Ron is gracious and easy to work with. He curated a great selection of art, too. We really enjoyed the space and would use it again.

Yelp
Warehouse 416 has been a great addition to the Dt. Oakland area. Right off the main drag of 1st fridays Art Murmur on Telegraph & 26th it is in a prime location for gallery hopping. I have been to several of their monthly openings during Art Murmur and have been consistently impressed! The quality of work displayed is always on point with current artistic trends. I have also produced a show there once before myself, and as far as renting a space, they really give you quality work for the money they charge. I dealt with Angela mostly, although I believe she has a sister also that helps run the gallery. She was polite, fairly witty and accommodating throughout the whole process. Totally quality work & professionalism. I would definitely recommend them!

Yelp
I recently rented this space to throw a surprise party/jam session and it was great. Ron was so accommodating and even offered to send a fake invite to help with the surprise. We had several amps, drums, many guitars and basses and the warehouse was the perfect setting for a fun jam session. The acoustics were great and the many kids who attended had a great time in the space. Next event I throw or host I will definitely be looking into renting here again. Our party had kids and adults and it was overall a great setting for music and fun for all.

Yelp
Funniest place to go on First Friday. Exceptional art, affordable crafts, good music and drinks all add up to a great scene!

Yelp
Excellent art gallery and community space. They consistently host high quality exhibits and showings. It's usually the first place I recommend to friends for First Friday. Plus the owners, Ron and Chris, are fantastic people who really strive to be a positive and integral part of the Oakland community.
