This unassuming corner stall open to the street is my friend's long-time family favorite, and he was even good buddies with the owner! I might be a bit biased since I felt like we got pretty special treatment, getting to try all the different dishes they offered here. They're especially known for the mutton soup with a mirepoix (onion, carrot, celery) base, but everything was very flavorful. They have a variety of little small plates, like tapas, so you can have an assortment of dishes. Unfortunately I don't know the names of all the dishes, but I can describe them as green curry chicken, spicy fish fillet, whole fish with soy sauce and chili/onions/bell peppers, squid curry, fried chicken, pickles/peanuts, vegetable curry, and green beans+tofu cubes.
So delicious, and I can only trust that it's authentic indonesian nasi padang (miniature banquet of meats, fish, vegetables, and spicy sambal with rice)!
