Took the class with my girlfriend. It was an open Level handstand class. Matt was our instructor and it was a phenomenal class.. My girlfriend and I work out regularly so we have baseline strength and endurance, but Matt was able to help us with our technique and provide a challenging yet easy going and meaningful class. l could tell he cared and even work after with us individually

Since I moved to New York 2 years ago I have become an absolute regular at this amazing circus, acrobatics, hand balancing, and mobility studio. I love the instructors, the space with its padded for tumbling and landings, and the awesome selection of classes offered. This is your new community!

Was on vacation in NYC and have always wanted to try acro yoga. I don’t have any prior experience and the reviews of this place were positive. I took a class with Melissa and she was such a great instructor. She was welcoming, friendly, and patient. I just liked her whole philosophy about encouraging communication and body positivity. The space was clean and inviting. There’s a bathroom and separate changing room. Also there’s place to store stuff but it’s not locked. I had a great time and the more experienced folks in the class were also cool and supportive. This is definitely a fun activity for beginners, dates, friend outing. Thank you for such a positive experience!

Google
Great small studio and yoga community. Everyone is really supportive and welcoming, happy this is downtown. They have several different classes throughout the day. I've tried the acro yoga class, but usually go to vinyasa yoga. I leave feeling refreshed.

Gary Snyder Sensei teaches inspiring aikido techniques and a community of kind, learning-motivated students makes classes an incredible experience. Whether you're a beginner, experienced visitor from out of town, or a lapsed practitioner... I would encourage you to go and try a class.

Yelp
I love this place. I've been going for 4+ years, and it is such a warm and inviting community with top notch instruction. I am vert picky about movement studios and this one continues to impress me. It is a constant source of joy, peace, and fun.

Yelp
Emily & Sean are terrific Acroyoga instructors. They patiently break down the poses for beginners, and walk you through it step by step. Highly recommend!

Yelp
This review is for the backbending mobility virtual class via Zoom with Isaac. I have a pretty stiff spine - pretty much plateaued with my wheels - and got so much out of this class. There were some deep poses for the back, psoas, hamstrings, hips. It felt like a pretty intensive workshop, can't believe it was only 75 min long! The instructor gave lots of modifications so it felt like you can find your edge no matter where you are, all the way through advanced yogis (he mentioned there were aerial artists in the class I recall). Even though the class was virtual + many deep poses, it felt to me like he kept a watchful eye on everyone to safely prevent injuries, as well as going through a very thorough warm up. Great class! Highly recommend.

Yelp
I met a friend here for an open level acroyoga class one night around 8:30. The class was a mix of more experienced people and beginners. The space is tucked away right next to the Brooklyn bridge and consists of 2 floors. There is space to put your stuff away and change your clothes. The room itself was big enough for the 10 of us to practice comfortably. Instructors Sean and Emily were funny, challenging, engaging and helpful as they brought us first through warm-up exercises and then practicing various acro techniques. Some people came with partners but many came solo and simply paired with partners there. We were also instructed on spotting techniques for safety. I will be coming back and recommend you check out Warrior Bridge too.

Yelp
I love Warrior Bridge! The classes are relatively small and intimate, and instructors will give hands on spotting for bendy tricks, handstands, or acro. They also provide cues and pointers to keep your body safe and prevent injury. For a long time I'd go to yoga flow classes and they'd kinda just say "now get into a handstand!" without further instruction, and I'd wonder why I couldn't. I also just didn't feel like yoga made me more flexible. Certainly it made me more calm and relaxed, but there were tons of "Instagram poses" I couldn't access. This studio is much more focused in providing the tools to get to deeper levels of flexibility and handstand practice. I have taken Lu, Sean, Daniel, and Isaac's classes :).

Yelp
This is the place to train acro yoga for beginners and all levels. The community is welcoming and friendly. The space is gorgeous and located in a historic part of downtown Manhattan. Its really easy to get to. I come from Brooklyn and ride the train to Fulton Street. If you want to make fun supportive friends; this is the place to take classes and open jam sessions. Their prices are very affordable! $150/ month for unlimited classes!! Wow thats a great deal! My favorite thing is that the teachers there always challenge me to learn new movements!

Yelp
I came here with a friend for a Flexibility Training Workshop and love every minute of it. This space is clean, intimate and quaint. The class was incredible and really stretched out every ligament in my body. It was just what I needed the week! The instructor Isaac was great and made me feel at ease while challenging all of us to the best of our ability. Will definitely come back when I'm in the neighborhood!

Yelp
While traveling I took Restorative Flow Yoga with Sean Langhaus, it was a perfect class, especially great for travelers, people that need mindful movement, I recommend this class to everyone. They have a good variety of classes for all levels, I also like the space. Will visit again.

Yelp
I've taken 2 yoga classes (with Sean) and 1 acroyoga workshop (with Sean and Lotsie) here and loved them both. The studio is clean and brand new and Sean is an excellent instructor. The yoga was really interesting, and I loved the mix of rocket, vinyasa, and budokon. It was really cool how Sean listed several variations on techniques so that anyone from beginner to expert could find a challenge. Sean also has an excellent inversion practice and gave me some great pointers on my handstand, which I almost have without using a wall. I was sad that I wasn't able to take them up on the invite for the akido class happening after the yoga class I took. Their 7th degree blackbelt sensi, Gary, was very welcoming and it looked like it would be a fun class with great instruction. The studio was super chill with no pretension, which is something that turns me off at some places. I look forward to more classes at Warrior Bridge!

Yelp
This place in new and in my neighborhood so I'm hoping it will continue to improve. I've taken a few yoga classes here with Emily Z and Sean. I really liked Emily's class - I thought her sequencing was nice and the class was appropriately challenging but not inaccessible. I would probably go back to Sean's class but thought that his teaching style - and this is just personal preference - was a bit too nonchalant for me. He incorporated head stands and hand stands in the practice but did not provide a lot of guidance or instruction, just gave basic pointers and said, "Ok, now go and do it." The space is quaint and I don't mind it but the last time I went, there had been another class before us and it REEKED of body odor and was so stuffy. I'd suggest keeping the windows and doors cracked open to get the air circulating and perhaps a few air filters...

Yelp
This was the best yoga class that I've ever been to in the city so far. It was very clean and pleasant and I had a great experience. It was exciting to learn new techniques. If you're interested in going to a yoga class, this will be the yoga studio you should go!

Yelp
Great vibe walking in here. Instructor Laura is awesome and very welcoming. She made me feel like I've been doing this for years.

Yelp
My first draw to this studio was the close proximity to my house, after the first class I purchased a new student package and have been attending the yoga classes for almost a month. The studio is clean and there is a real sense of community. Classes vary from relaxing to intense, they really offer something for everyone. Sometimes yoga classes can be a bit intimidating, but that is not the case at this studio. I will definitely keep coming back!

Yelp
I found Warrior Bridge through Yelp earlier today and decided to head out for Rocket Yoga with Sean at 12:30. The studio was nice, clean, and easy to find. Sean was welcoming and had a great demeanor throughout the class. The class itself was medium paced, challenging, and accessible to all levels. We explored inversions against a wall, splits, and some floating techniques. I'll be back!

Yelp
I've been practicing Kokikai Aikido since 2002 and with Gary Snyder Sensei since 2008 at the previous location of the Aikido Kokikai NYC dojo and now at Warrior Bridge. Warrior Bridge is now the best place in the city to learn the subtle art of aikido. With an instructor who has over 30 years of experience (he's a 7th degree black belt!) as well as a supporting group of other experienced people all with 15+ years each, you will not easily find a better source of martial arts wisdom in New York. This dojo is also friendly and welcoming. Kokikai Aikido combines the seriousness of martial arts practice with a casual, good-natured approach to a practice that is really all about making your life and even the world better, not just more disciplined. If you haven't experienced aikido, you must come try it! New students of all kinds are dropping in all the time and discovering how much they love it, and aikido is great for people of all ages and body types. If you think that martial arts is not for you, I think you'll be especially surprised by what you find, by the power you are capable of manifesting even if you aren't a big, strong, scary guy. I came to aikido through yoga, which I also continue to practice, and in my experience yoga and aikido complement each other very well! Both entail mind-body coordination, relaxation, consciousness, and community. In the case of aikido, we just happen to work on our "techniques" (as opposed to "asanas") with other people. And how often in our adult lives these days do we get to train physically with other people? It's a privilege! And since Warrior Bridge also offers yoga classes, you'll be coming to the best place to experience the unique benefits of cross-training in these various arts. Also, we have the distinct honor of hosting Sensei Shuji Maruyama, the founder of Kokikai Aikido and a former student of the inventor of aikido itself, three times a year at Warrior Bridge. So not only will you train here at the highest level available in the aikido community today, but you'll be able to see it performed on a regular basis by one of the world's greatest living martial artists. Come and explore your boundaries and push the boundaries of human potential itself with Aikido Kokikai at Warrior Bridge!

Yelp
This is a brand new studio, clean, with good padded floor, and at a great location. I've taken so far two afternoon community yoga classes with Sean, and they were great. I am definitely coming back. Best way to spend a lunch hour!

Yelp
Maybe I'm taking it too literally, but when I think of the words "martial" and "art" I don't know of a better discipline to embody their union than aikido. This is an art that teaches how to effectively respond to an attacker by focusing on body positioning, timing, and control of an attacker's balance by logical movement and joint manipulation. Shuji Maruyama, founder of the Kokikai style of aikido, has been a true visionary in recognizing that through progressive relaxation of mind and body, martial arts technique becomes most powerful. Gary Snyder, Chief Aikido Instructor and Warrior Bridge founder, has trained under Sensei Maruyama for 30+ years and mastered these concepts. In addition by incorporating learnings from his extensive training in striking martial arts, he's able to paint a holistic picture of the reality of real-world physical confrontations. He's assembled an outstanding teaching staff of his most dedicated students and together they are able to skillfully teach students of all levels. This is a great place to start or continue your training in aikido.

Yelp
I've taken a few classes here and I really enjoy it. They offer several classes during the day so there's a lot to choose from. I tried the restorative yoga class and the flexibility class. I both like them. Also I like the building because it's historic.

Janine H.

Yelp
Beautiful studio, wonderful instruction, and at $10 for an hour of yoga -very affordable as compared to most yoga studios in NYC. Highly recommend.
