Probably the most important restaurant in Milan. Wow… I mean everything about this place is amazing. The interior, service and most importantly the food. I came here solo as I do most places I want to try. This was my first time trying eritrean food. I’ve had African food countless times, but Eritrean was different. The flavors and aromatic of the dishes were top notch. I could eat this daily.

First time trying Eritrean food. And wow was it delicious. Authentic Eritrean food in downtown Milan near the Buenos Aires neighborhood. The inside is very nicely decorated like being in a cave. Menu is small, consisting of a few appetizers, couple options for mains and some desserts. The food was very tasty. We shared the meat plate for two, very good and enough for two. Also had an appetizer, very good. At the end we had traditional tea provided as a gift. No dogs allowed. We made a reservation a few days before and was good idea as the place was very busy on Sunday evening. Highly recommend!

The food was really tasty and really nicely presented. The interior is also beautiful. I also absolutely loved the tea that is included as part of the dining experience. The staff and the owner were very friendly. However, the experience felt a bit rushed, as the tables were overbooked and there were many people waiting for others to finish the meal. Had to finish by the bar, as was asked to leave the table. I liked the overall vibe and dinner, would really recommend the food!

Really different experience! Delicious african food, with a very good service! It is a cultural experience more than just culinary! You eat with your hands and taste everything very deeply!

It was a right decision to have dinner there today, we got lucky that a reservation got canceled!!! All the walk there was worth it 100%! The best and the only meal of the day!! 😃 Thank you to the staff who was kind to us and offered more injera that we could eat! A must go to place in Milan!!!

The place is really cute and cozy, eating with your hands and sitting almost on the floor give you a sense of exotic (although you can choose the regular chairs and tables if you prefer). The food is tasty and filling and the price is reasonable. Shame for the service, which is super lazy and slow / when almost non existent.

Yelp
I absolutely loved this place! We came one Friday night for dinner and we did not have a reservation. This place was packed --a happening scene among the Milanese Bohemian trend setters. I was hoping we would not be turned away. The owner looked at me and said wait one moment, then he seated us! My roommate swore up and down that it was because of my brown face. I just smiled and said tomorrow we can use your white face, but for now let's just enjoy! She laughed and we proceeded to order. Eritrean food is almost identical to Ethiopian. I still cannot even figure out the difference? The menu was not complicated; you get the standard platter with chicken, beef, lamb, greens, and cabbage mash, with injera. It was delicious and the staff is excellent! For 20 euro this huge platter, cinnamon tea, and the smoothest South African red wine. We could have used another stomach at our table with all the food they brought out! I could kick myself for not having my camera, but the décor of this place was so funky and cool with real animal skins on the wall, hues of dark mahogany, and citrus. Pure African Swag! Check out Claudia R's pict to see what i'm talkin about! Porta Venezia, the area I interned in, is a beautiful upscale melting pot of culture, this community reminds me so much of 14th and U Street back here in DC. If I had more time I would definitely have come here just one last time before leaving! I highly recommend this restaurant as a tourist attraction, the staff speaks perfect English, and the area has a lot of affordable shops off of Buenos Aires.

Yelp
Disclaimer: I was quite drunk during this dinner. This is one of the top two places (out of maybe 20) where I ate during my stay in Milan. Furthermore, the atmosphere is very nice. I was there alone but this group of girls invited me to join their table. We ordered chicken, beef, etc. all of which comes in that bread which reminds me of Indian bread called dosa. Very flavorful and everything went very well together (except for some random couscous). Decent wine and grappa too. Although by the end of that last one my judgment was quite hindered.

Yelp
If i could give 10 stars i would! Living in Italy you get tired of pasta, pizza, and the occasional Chinese food. Saw this place of yelp and decided to give it a try. My husband baby girl and I came here tonight and it was BEYOND amazing!!! The food was great, atmosphere was great, and staff were super nice! We will definitely have to make another trip here!!!

Yelp
This place is amazing. I was tired of Italian food, and wanted something else authentic. Food here is very very good, the couscous that comes in both vegetarian and meat dish is to die for. Soooo gooooddddd I already miss this place. MUST TRY for those looking for authentic dining.

Yelp
Eritrean restaurant, similar to Ethiopian food. It is hard to find authentic tasting non-Italian food in Milan, but this is it. Excellent injera bread and the different little vegatable and meat dishes. Nice ambiance, and decent prices. Close to Porta Venezia.

Yelp
We entered and were immediately pleased with to see a colorful decor and smell a wonderful aroma. The service was very cordial and the food very well presented. The selection was meat or vegetarian. We weren't shown a menu but asked if we wanted meat or vegetarian. We paid 15 Euros for each person and left extremely satisfied.
