Warteck

The hotel is beautiful, very centrally located, with several shops and parking nearby. The manager is very friendly, we wanted for nothing, everything was perfect: the room, the cleanliness… Even the breakfast was fantastic. Without a doubt, one of our best stops in the Black Forest. We hope to return someday.

Unfortunately you can't reserve a parking spot and there are not many at the hotel. There was no spot left and therefore we had to park in a parking lot on a 5 minute walk. Parking lot was located in the middle of the center of Freudenstadt. Personnel is okay but could be a little bit more inviting/ friendly. Room is modern and had a good shower, could be a little bit more pressure on the shower. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was perfect!

Very nice hotel is a great location. Close to the market. Our room was small but comfortable with a little balcony. The breakfast was excellent. You could get made to order eggs and bacon besides the continental items. The owners were very friendly. Parking was a bit tricky. Make sure you read up on how to use the German parking system. You need a card. I highly recommend this hotel!

Hotel was very clean, staff were accommodating and rooms were comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was excellent for a small hotel and everything very fresh. Parking is a bit difficult but we found that if you drove around a bit, street parking could be found at no cost. Very good location just around the corner from the main square.

Centrally located, small boutique style hotel but room and bathroom were surprisingly spacious, bright and very clean. Breakfast was very good choice of eggs and cold table. The staff were very friendly and warm. I was unsure booking as it was rated 3 star on Tripadvisor but would recommend and return.

It was a bit of an adventure getting to Hotel Warteck as the street it is on was completely torn up and will be so for several months. A local man took pity on us as we navigated back streets trying to get as close to the back of the hotel as possible. The manager/chef guided us to a parking spot behind the hotel and carried our luggage up the 2 flights of stairs to our room. The room and bathroom were small by North American standards but very functional in their layout. It sounds from other reviews that there are larger rooms available. The hotel has no AC but there was a nice breeze through our open window on the back of the hotel. The front rooms might not be so quiet with the traffic and construction. We had a superb dinner in the hotel dining room. The breakfast buffet had a good selection of cold foods and eggs were cooked to order. It is a charming little European hotel.

Very friendly owners and a huge comfy room. Breakfast was fantastic!!! We landed in Frankfurt and had a car meet us and drive us directly here for the start of our trip - lovely bakery not far away. Picturesque walks nearby. I would stay here again

This cute hotel is located close to the market square and all the restaurant. The room was good, but especially the bathroom was really nice! We had breakfast in the morning and both the food, the presentation and the staff was all on top! Would go there again if ever in Freudenstadt.
