A little bit hidden spot. Only got to try 2 items before leaving - (non oily and oily) with sambal matah (very aromatic and not too salty). Meats were juicy. Highly recommended.

Warung Cahaya has become my go-to must-eat spot every time I’m in Bali. Their pork sambal matah is a best-seller—and for a good reason. The pork is perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside, yet tender and chewy on the inside. The dish is served with a sunny-side-up egg (you can request your preferred doneness), and it really elevates the flavor. The fresh shallots and sambal matah add a bright, spicy kick that ties everything together beautifully. Be sure to come before lunch hour, as it gets crowded quickly. The place is quite small, and while they do have an indoor area, I’ve never sat there myself. Given Bali’s heat, waiting outside can be a bit of a challenge. Parking is also a bit tricky due to the location and the crowd, so plan accordingly.

Went here because my friends put this place in the itinerary. We are all ordering the same menu, crispy samchan/pork with sambal matah. I like the crispy samchan, very crispy and not too oily, and the portion is quite abundance. For the sambal matah, its not too spicy, and they put a lot of shallots, really nice! I would recommend this place to whoever read this review. A must-try!

This used to be one of my favourite spots in the area. It’s always packed whenever I come, but it was always worth the wait. However, during my most recent visit, the taste wasn’t as good as it used to be, mainly because of the sambal. The onions weren’t as fresh as before, and the flavour was soggy and just not as enjoyable as it used to be. On top of that, the cashier was really slow. They still handle everything manually, so we ended up waiting far too long this time.

Their fried rice and belly pork are a good one, but the soup is my favorite. The place isn't quite big, and the parking area is so limited. Not an authentic Balinese food, but it's good enough to try.

The best description for the food: Simple dishes when made well, taste amazing. We even went back for a second time to eat here during our vacation, and will be back for sure.

Been here 9 years ago and back again in September 2025. More customers and more food choices now. Worth trying!
