Visiting Kuta Beach: Why This is The WORST Place in Bali!

"I found the famous Madam’s Indonesian restaurant in Kuta to be one of the few notable local dining options there, though overall Kuta is not where I’d go for the best food in Bali." - Matthew Kepnes

Truly a hole in the wall, not a fan of Kuta but always excited to swing-by this modest Warung. Their Nasi Goreng Special and an ice bottle of tea - all for less than 40k IDR is what I always order everytime I come here in Bali and still they taste as consistent as before. 🌶

If your looking for a great feed excellent prices cannot recommend this warung highly enough. Amazing traditional food with friendly staff and food comes to you so quickly. We ordered a nasi goreng and capcay and 2 boyyles of water anf only cost $6.70 for 2 adults. Not far off melasti but felt like it was miles away as you couldn't hear the traffic. Would eat there everything we are bali.

The second "Warung" in Legian after we decided to stick to warung because the local food in these place was so good. It was a great choice after a long walk along the beach and shopping streets. Earlier in the day we had Cap - Cay and decided to have one more. It was so good for its taste and price. The place is large and airy. Highly recommended.

My absolute favourite! The staff are wonderful, they helped me with my Balinese pronunciation 😁 Food is incredible and prices are fantastic! (Cash only venue). Definitely try the whole fish with Balinese sauce, out of this world! Water spinach was a favourite of mine too, and I’ve never had better tofu, tempeh and eggplant! Refreshing juices and cold beer as well! It’s a lovely atmosphere with a family of extremely cute kitty cats. Thank you so much 🙏🏻 Will be a go to spot for me whenever I am in Legian

We went to this place for our first dinner in Bali and we didn’t regret it. The food here made us feel like home, like mama’s recipes. It’s a small family-own business, we felt so welcomed. The fried tempeh, fried chicken, fried noodles, and veggie soup were delicious! The price was cheap. This place is in a small alley, but we followed Google map just fine. Not very far from Grandmas plus Legian hotel.

We made the decision to eat here based on all of the great reviews. We were not disappointed. We could watch the kitchen as they skillfully prepared all of the dishes in the wok. Everything was served hot & fresh. The prices are so reasonable and the place had a welcoming/homey feel. As we left, the staff joked “see you tomorrow” Don’t miss this gem.
