Warung Pojok

We discovered Warung Pojok Nyuh Kuning in 2015 while staying at hotel on the same street, and since then the cafe became a must-visit for us whenever we're in Ubud. The hardworking owners Made and Putu take pride in preparing and serving fresh and delicious meals, ensuring that food is 100% safe for tourists stomachs. This year, we were pleased to find the cafe relocated to their stunning family compound, inviting guests to enjoy authentic Balinese food in a beautiful traditional setting. The portions are very generous and variety on the menu makes it an enjoyable experience every time, every dish is a potential favorite! And their fresh juices taste better than anywhere else , so I can’t help myself but buying a couple of different types , lol The atmosphere is humble and welcoming, thanks to Made and Putu's warm hospitality. If you're looking forward to tasting an authentic Balinese cuisine, which is prepared considering tourists stomachs requirements, this warung is a must-visit place for you as well, we highly recommend! Note: Whatsapp them before coming for lunch to ensure it is open on the day, as summertimes there could be some events/ceremonies that they must attend and cafe might be closed.

What a find! We liked it so much we went twice. A small restaurant run out of the family home. The menu is small but enough to choose from. Small serves but large enough and value for money. It is run by a husband and wife so be prepared to wait if there are a few people but it doesn’t matter. They are so friendly and informative about the area.

Amazing restaurant with incredible food and at the cheapest prices we’ve encountered so far. We are 10000% returning. You may have to wait a while for your food but it is worth it. We ordered Ayam swir and Ayam lalapan(top of the specials menu). Both were 50k each. The chicken was GOOD quality and there were all kinds of amazing flavours. The restaurant surroundings were beautiful too, especially the garden/courtyard area. There is also a toilet.

Great choice for dinner, hidden in traditional balinese compound far from crowds. Variety of vegan options, cooked to order. Spring rolls with peanut sauce was delicious

This warung is so underrated. I came across this by chance on my last night and came again the next day for lunch (ayam bakar, satay, crispy tempeh). I’m from a country familiar with Indonesian cuisine but this warung does it well enough to keep me coming back. Food is fresh, cook upon order, tastes good and very affordable. It’s family run, the chefs are the husband and wife themselves, and you’re dining in their home compound. It’s hygienic and clean, I’ve very sensitive stomach but had no issues eating here. Highly recommended, order what you feel like eating because all the dishes taste good. If I return to Ubud I’ll definitely come here every day. Note: They do accept card payments. Drop them a WhatsApp if you’re coming in for lunch as sometimes they might be closed, most of the times they open during dinner.

It is a hidden gem. We had special veg Nasi Goreng and roast chicken with veg and peanutsauce. Both very good. The gingerylemon tea was very tasty. The service very friendly. It is quiet there as it is off the street.

I think it’s my favorite Warung and Ubud It’s quiet garden and peaceful surroundings Food is good and well balanced Specially recommend, chicken curry, and nasi goreng ayam. They cook on Coconut oil and do not deep fried the food. Good place for working and meeting quietly with friends And the surrounding area of new kunning is very delightful.
