This was our first time staying at a Warwick hotel and it did not dissapoint. Our room and bathroom were huge, clean and comfortable. Plenty of room for us and our suitcases, lots of hanging space and lovely bath robes. We enjoyed using the pool and hot tub, both were clean and pretty quiet when we used them. The staff were always friendly and helpful. We also used the restaurant, we love Thai food and this place was fantastic - great cocktails too.

not be visiting The staff at the reception were warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. However, my favorite part of the stay was the poolside experience. The staff there were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make sure my kids had a great time, which I really appreciated. The proximity of the pool and the dry sauna was also a huge plus, making it easy to relax and unwind. Overall, we had a wonderful time, and I highly recommend this hotel for a family-friendly stay!" things took a turn when we discovered that the valet left our hybrid car running all night, which drained the battery. My husband and the valet had to go on a search for a new battery to get our car started. As if that wasn't frustrating enough, at checkout, we noticed an $87 charge for room service that we never ordered. I explained to the staff that we had ordered pizza from outside that night, not room service, but was told to wait while they investigated. Instead of resolving it immediately, they let me leave, saying it would take time. On my way back home, I received an email from the manager with a duplicate of the room service receipt. The signature was clearly not mine nor my husband’s. I had already informed them that we didn't place the order, and it was troubling that they sent the invoice without checking their cameras or verifying whether the order was delivered to another room. This whole ordeal left me quite shaken, and I expected much better customer service for handling such a serious issue.

The Warwick Le Crystal in Montreal is well located in Ville Mairie. The staff was always friendly and helpful. We booked through Amex and were given perks including $100 credit and an upgrade if available. Our room was 508 which was a corner suite overlooking Rue Rene Levesque. The room was great. We had a good view of the area and the room included a large living room with sofa and armchair, a dining table and fully equipped kitchenette with Nespresso and complimentary pods, a coffee table and large tv. There were floor to ceiling curved windows wrapping around the outside view. It was very roomy and comfortable! We also had a bedroom with a very comfortable king size bed, floor to ceiling windows, a large safe and plenty of drawer and closet space and another tv. We also had lovely Frette linens and towels. The bathroom was very roomy with double sinks, a bathtub, and large shower. No details were overlooked. |However, there were a few issues. We arrived Saturday afternoon and apparently Saturday night Rue Levesque is cruising night. It was quite noisy until midnight, audible even on the 5th floor. The hotel restaurant Siam is off the lobby and we had breakfast there. It seemed understaffed and service was very slow. We went for a drink one evening and the bar is not separate from the restaurant at lobby level. It was very loud and congested. There is a pool and spa but we didn’t see them. All in all, we felt the hotel was well located, the room was very roomy and comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful and a good value. We discovered a metro station nearby and St Catherine street a few blocks away has wonderful shopping.

I visited Montreal for a business trip. Mathieu in Sales was such a pleasure to work with. The Front Desk agents were all very kind & helpful. My room was large and had a kitchenette which was a nice feature. Very comfortable bed and the rain shower was sooo luxurious! The indoor pool and outdoor deck were perfect to use as it was warm during my time there. The hotel is located in a great area in Ville-Marie. There are a lot of good restaurants nearby and it's close to the Metro. I'll definitely be back!

had an excellent stay at Warwick Le Crystal! The service was impeccable, and every staff member I encountered was professional and welcoming. A special mention goes to Ivan at the reception—he went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and memorable. His kindness, helpfulness, and attention to detail truly stood out.||I highly recommend the Warwick Crystal to anyone looking for outstanding hospitality. I’ll definitely be back!

Google
A bit disappointed...we had 4 nights booked and paid for ..our flight was delayed so we checked in a day late..we were advised they had let our room go ..REALLY ! We had to pay a $80 per day extra for the next available room. The room was nice but the housekeeping was 2 star at best. You pay for 5 star and you expect 5 star Cushions and pillows put back on the bed. Coffee cups cleaned and put back in the cupboard. Glasses cleaned and stowed Empty toiletry wrappers removed. The gym was great, the pool and sauna good. On checking out the young lady was good enough to remove the upgrade fee which was ok I guess but still peaked that we had to endure the experience.

The Junior suite is amazing. Basically a beautiful, modern apartment with full bath, everything was fully stocked and I had a blast there. Will definitely stay again.

The bathroom smelled pipi. There is no night shift cleaning team. The solution from management: spray A LOT of deodorant (push push) to the point that it gave us nausea! Clearly NOT a 5 ⭐️ hotel! The options offered to us weren’t satisfying so the night manager told us he will refund us. We made the reservation through Booking.com. Didn’t get problems from booking.com to refund but in order to proceed they needed approval from the hotel. Hotel management refused to approve the refund. We ended up paying for a service we never got. Staff contradicted themselves. They lied to us! They literally stole our $. ‼️We do NOT recommend AT ALL‼️ I live in Montreal, so I was able to go physically and fight my case! I can not imagine the stress and struggle for people living elsewhere!

Yelp
We found this hotel to be affordable for the space in a room, and, within walking distance of the underground city and Metro. Overall, an excellent and top notch stay. Rooms were clean and generally well appointed. My only suggestion for the hotel is that the MiniBar is over stuffed, and takes up too much space in the fridge. It makes it more challenging to then stock your own items as needed from a near by Provigo. Otherwise, zero complaints, and I would easily stay here again.

Yelp
I want to start by saying the management and customer service might be different. However my experience was a nightmare. I came here to meet with a "businessman" I had started my own business and needed info on a few legal point. I got the valet service as I am not from Montreal and didn't want to have a ticket "big mistake". The lobby is beautiful big chandeliers. I went for breakfast it was delicious. I payed for the parking $39 a day. About a month later am at the grocery store and my credit card is not working. I thought that was strange as There was no reason it should be I had just payed my credit card. Get in my car and start checking with my bank. To find out it was the hotel that charged the room to my name. The "businessman" I had seen for the meeting. Had payed with a cheque for his room and he was never charged. So it went on my credit card. I did mention who I was meeting there and that is how the got me. Long story short, I had my credit card fighting with the charge for month. Multiple phone call, I decided it was no longer worth my time. I ended up paying the amount about $635.73 They got the money good for them. For me terrible experience and definitely not worth the price. The "businessman" was obviously a scammer. I still don't understand how the hotel could just transfer the charge to me.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our four-night stay here. The room was spacious and comfortable. We used the parking service which included recharging our Tesla and that was handled nicely. The staff was most courteous, and of course completely bilingual but also cheerful about helping my wife with her rudimentary French. Extras such as helping us to find a restaurant we had seen while walking about but couldn't remember, and lending us umbrellas when needed, were appreciated. Breakfasts in the attached restaurant were quite good and the service there was equally excellent. The location is good for walking to many attractions in the city.

Yelp
We decided to give this hotel a try for our most recent Montreal trip because (1) Ritz was all booked for the time we wanted to stay and (2) this is an all-suite hotel with kitchens, sounds like a nice setting for traveling with a baby. After our stay, I can safely say, this is not a luxury hotel. It's technically a four star hotel and everything about it screams a four star hotel. Check in took long, only one person working, and the other person was on the phone/computer the whole time. Neither was able to smile when making eye contact with us. Carpet in room felt dirty, not to mention there are multiple stains on it. Even the carpet in the hallway on the floor felt cheap and dirty. On the plus side, it is probably a very good choice if you are traveling with a young child. We got a Premier King suite, and there's a decent sized living room, small kitchen, and bedroom. Bathroom was also very nicely sized, with double sink. Concierge was helpful and helped us schedule a babysitter for one night so we can go out and explore on our own. Doorman were fast in handling our luggage and getting our car. One incidence happened on our first night here - first alarm went off. They announced something in French on our floor, then silent. We were completely confused and worried, but there was absolutely no English announcement afterwards. I had to call the lobby to ask what the hell was going on, and the girl answered my phone rudely said of course there's announcement in English because she heard it in lobby, it's just false alarm. First of all, customer service 101, apologize to customers if it's false fire alarm, it was after 9pm and it was a bit scary. Secondly, if you are not on my floor, don't tell me there's announcement in English, you didn't hear it yourself. Concierge did contact me the next day to apologize but come on, get some English announcement on the floor, not everyone stays in the hotel speaks French. Anyways, if you can look pass the poor service of front desk people, it's not a bad choice, especially if you have young children.

Yelp
This hotel is utterly disgusting. If you are staying here, we feel bad for you. Take a moment to wipe your fingers across the headboard of your bed or move one of the chairs in your room and look underneath. Inspect the dividers in your room and the draperies. Look at your ceilings and walls. You will find filth on every surface. And to make things worse, management does not care. Le Crystal would be beautiful if it were run by professionals, but unfortunately, those in charge are amateurs. DISGUSTING. DO NOT STAY AT LE CRYSTAL. We are WORLD Travelers and have stayed in some of the finest hotels. If I could give NO STARS with this review, I would. Nicolas the manager did not care about our concerns and ruined our vacation. We have never been treated so poorly by any hotel staff in our lives. The unfortunate truth is that no hotel being run this way will keep its stars for very long... The place is not well maintained nor does it offer the kind of hospitality we have experienced in REAL FOUR AND FIVE STAR HOTELS. Le Crystal is a sad excuse for a luxury hotel.

Yelp
Hotel Le Crystal is just another gem in what is a string of great hotels in Montreal. This all suite hotel boasts new rooms with modern upgrades and spacious accommodations. This place borders on luxury hotel. Located in downtown Montreal, the hotel is walking distance to tons of restaurants and entertainment. Though all the rooms are suits, they have a simple feel to them. It's more cozy than anything, which helps to give the place a boutique feel. The beds are comfy, the service is excellent and the prices are very reasonable. If traveling to Montreal on business, or on vacation looking to explore the downtown area, this is definitely a great option. Not one complaint. Awesome hotel.

Yelp
This is our 3rd trip to Montreal and my favorite hotel thus far. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The lobby is beautiful. Location is great to access both the shopping district and Old Town. For $10 more a night we upgraded at check in to a slightly larger room. We didn't have a great view but the interior space was perfect. Very modern inside. Even just walking into your room felt like you were stepping into the future. I cannot say enough good things about the pool and spa area on the 12th floor. There is a sauna room in addition to the outdoor hot tub. Everything was clean and orderly. Unfortunately the hot tub was only like warm and you were able to control the temperature settings. Everything in the hotel felt very private and we rarely saw any other people. We truly enjoyed our stay. Parking was $33 a day which is pretty standard for the area.

Yelp
I cannot say enough good things about the Crystal Hotel in Montreal. Most importantly, the staff, from Lysanne to Douae to Leo, everybody treated us like family. The facilities are fantastic, clean and updated. Great location. Highly recommended!

Yelp
This is a sleek, clean and modern hotel. Location - downtown and close to shopping Parking - expensive, but to be expected from a downtown hotel. Rooms - large, clean and well decorated. The bathroom is huge with a separate tub and shower and two sinks. There is a bedroom, small living area and a kitchenette. The pull out sofa is not of the highest quality, but it was fine for my young son. The main bed in the bedroom is small yet comfortable. The tv at the base of the bed was a bit close for viewing, but it was nice to have a tv in the living area and the bedroom. Amenities - they have a great indoor pool good for some light swimming or for kids. There is a lifeguard on duty. There is some comfortable seating around and a coffee and water bar. The spa outside is a bit hot during the day but has a great view and is probably great at nighttime with the city view. The gym is decently equipped and includes a great view of the city while you work out. They keep a few bottles of water out for you along with towel. Overall I loved staying here. The only bad thing was their key maker was somehow broken so we only had one key to share - but the key was what got you to your floor or the pool/workout floor when inserted in the elevator AND had to be inserted in your room to turn the lights on - not a big deal if you do everything together, but we have to tag team our work outs since we have a young son. My husband inserted a credit card in to light up the room while one of us was out, and it worked for us, but it's not ideal since you don't want to accidentally leave your credit card in the room's slot when you leave for the day. But I'm sire this is not a normal issue that they have.

Yelp
Stayed here for 3 nights over the summer. The hotel was clean and pet-friendly. Beautiful decor, Starbucks conveniently inside, restaurant and bar with outdoor seating. They also had a clean gym, hot tub and pool with a great view. My only negative was that the AC was not operating. During the summer it got uncomfortable and couldn't sleep well in the heat. They didn't have any other rooms available so we could not move until the last night. I know that they knew the AC was busted when they assigned us the room, a bit dishonest but I get it's a business. They didn't offer any discount and just brought a fan. The last night they moved us to another room that wasn't as nice as the suite we had paid for. All in all I would stay here again just wish they would have handled the situation differently.

Yelp
Lê Crystal works for us. It's very convenient and they are very nice with our dog. It has a good access to everything around and the staff it's nice to us. Could've been cleaner and they could More attention to details. We like the kids that take care of our car and they are always very fast and attentive. The rooms Could've been cleaner and they used to offer bottles of water, now they have a jar and offer water with cups. They also used to have a nice restaurant and great breakfast and they are renovating and in spring they will have a Thai restaurant, that's sad and unfortunate. We are not looking coward to that. Since we started coming to montreal that's the hotel we always stayed because it works for us, convenience. They also have a Nice pool and jacuzzi, that one is outside on the roof and it could definitely be hotter, specially in the winter. Room service is nice, but sometimes it talked a long time and sometimes they just don't do it. It's nice and works for us, but I don't know why it's considered a 5 starts.

Yelp
I was in Montreal for a business trip and stayed at the Crystal Hotel due to convenience of location and boy was I impressed. I was luckily able to check in earlier around noon. My room (1005) was spacious and cozy with a large living room, kitchen and seating area which reminded me of a bar. Without a doubt the most memorable moment was admiring the beautiful view while laying in the outdoor hot tub. I was a little disappointed in the cleanliness of the room as I kept seeing hair pieces everywhere. Aside from that, I had a comfortable stay and would return solely for the hot tub!

Ron S.

Yelp
They just lost two stars.... Recently returned from Montreal and our four night stay at Le Crystal. We booked three suites for four nights. Check in was nice and easy and they upgraded my room from a queen to a king which was a nice surprise. While my past stays have been flawless, this trip had its challenges. Considering I had a car I booked one of the rooms with parking and breakfast included. Unfortunately the valet experience this trip was flawed each and every day of our stay. I would call down to the valet 15 minutes prior to departure to request my car be brought around. Not one time was our car waiting... as a matter of fact not once had they even started to retrieve the car so that process was pointless and frustrating. The room itself was in need of repair. It is hard to imagine the cleaning staff not reporting these issues to management when they are so blatantly obvious. See the couple images from one of our suites where the ceiling in the bathroom was clearly water damaged and the bathroom closet door frame also damaged. The great soaker tub that I enjoyed on previous stays was impossible to use as the water flow to fill it took over 45 minutes to fill less than half of the tub. I finally gave up, took a shower and still 35 minutes later was not finished draining. The dual sinks in the bathroom would not drain quickly which is frustrating when brushing your teeth or shaving. The other two rooms had cleaning issues where both rooms really needed a good cleaning. Dirt buildup should not be apparent and noticeable to guests. The final issue was our request for a late checkout.... only to be told that we would need to call after 7AM on check out day to request it. Then for some reason on Sunday, checkout day my room gets a hang up call at 7AM waking me up on the only day that I could sleep in. I then took the opportunity to call the front desk requesting the late checkout to be told that checkout was 11AM and each hour after that would cost $10.00 for a later checkout. Every past stay was no issue for a later checkout but they insisted on $10 per hour this time. Upon checkout the attractive young lady at the front desk who I was able to identify as the same person I spoke to at 7AM never asked how my stay was, nor question why I returned all of the breakfast vouchers that had been provided to me. I suspect she already knew or didn't want to know. I hate cheap and I hate greedy when it comes to travel. Both are issues I have experienced over the past several years when traveling first class and staying in top hotels. The need to nickel and dime a best customer is appalling in my opinion. But it comes at a price - as I am about to return to Montreal again for another business matter and have booked 4 rooms at the hotel next door to Le Crystal. Le Crystal has lost my business and my recommendation to friends, family, and business associates. I really enjoyed the past quality and services of Le Crystal but they've lost their mojo and everything that made it special.

Mike W.

Yelp
I'm gonna be the first person to not give this place 5 Stars. But I do have a valid reason... Le Crystal was ALMOST perfect. That being said let me get my one negative point, that dropped it from 5 to 4 stars on my experience, out of the way first. The "computerized comfort settings" (lighting, heating, TV, etc.), in my experience were overly annoying. I understand the idea behind them and if I were staying here by myself they would probably be a very cool feature. But I was staying in a Deluxe Suite with 3 other guys (we were in Montréal for a bachelor party). You have to put a key-card in a slot right by the door in order to control the settings of the room's electronics (including the TV). The problem comes up when the person who has their key in the slot decides to run out for beer and they take their card out... and everything in the room turns off. The first time it happened we all thought there was a power outage. That lasted about 5 minutes until we figured out that someone has to keep their card in the slot at all times, while we're in the room. There now that I got that out of the way on to the rest of the review, which is all positive. The Crystal is an absolutely beautiful hotel! The suite we had was roomy enough for 4 grown men to sleep, without overlapping each other... and we were able to comfortably entertain a few guests during the early evening in the living room area. The fridge was large enough to fit about 20 beer bottles. The bedroom with a king sized bed was used by "the groom" so I can't really comment, aside from it being decent sized with pretty cool sliding "frosted" glass doors. The bathroom was as big as some budget hotels' bedrooms... actually I think one of our guys ended up passing out in the tub. Our view was nice overlooking rue Rene Levesque & the Bell Centre. The complimentary WiFi signal was very strong as well... But the crown jewel of the place, for me anyway, was the top floor pool and jacuzzi area. Taking a post-dinner dip in the pool is always fun... but absolute relaxation is reached when your sitting in a outdoors hot tub, sipping an ice cold beer, overlooking the picturesque Montréal skyline. I could definitely get used to that kind of living! I'm more of a "value over luxury" type of traveler so places like this are usually never on my radar, but I can definitely appreciate how the other half live when given the opportunity. I would recommend this hotel for couples looking for a perfect, romantic experience (they have customizable packages). Also bachelor parties that need a bit more room then just a bed, four walls, and a bathroom. But that being said, this is a extremely upscale place and respectfulness should go without saying.

Yelp
Nice hotel, very modern with a touch of elegance. I love the chandeliers !! I enjoyed the breakfast, food was good and I received a great service from the staff.

Yelp
Decent hotel. High end price for just bare necessities. Location is great though. It's very close to metro stations, and walking distance to good eateries and Underground City. They don't have a washer/dryer, and they don't include certain toiletries. You can ask for them, but they won't deliver to your room, you have to pick them up at the front desk. Starbucks and a Thai restaurant downstairs for convenience. There was a water bottle in our fridge and I think they charged us for it. We asked for a later check out and they accommodated which is nice. Downstairs toilet was kinda dirty and it out of toilet paper and when I notified front desk, she proceeded to give me some Kleenex, to which I just ended up giving back and using a toilet in another hotel.

Yelp
What an amazing stay we had in Montreal! Hotel le Crystal is downtown and within walking distance of many sites. The room was amazing (we had a junior suite) and had all the amenities we needed - including a Nespresso machine. There is also a Starbucks downstairs if you need to have that to wake up. Beds were extremely comfortable (we like a firm mattress). We walked to Mont Royal in the morning and then came back for a short respite in the 12th floor outdoor hot tub before going out to dinner. So refreshing! There is Thai restaurant on site but we didn't have a chance to try it. It was very busy. Vanessa and Lydia were fantastic hosts, as well as Romeo who helped us with our luggage and valet service. We can't thank everyone enough for the hospitality. We are Montréal fans and definitely will be back!!

Yelp
Hubby and I stayed with them for 3 nights during the jazz festival. We enjoyed everything about the hotel: - convenient location (even from the airport - it's the 3rd stop on the airport express bus 747). - apples in the lobby at all times - beautiful, large suite - free wifi - the bathroom was the size of our bedroom (granted, we live in a small, manhattan apt, but still) Loved the huge tub and soaking salts - molton brown toiletries were luxurious - bedroom was nice, though the tv right at the foot of the bed seemed a but much - the kitchenette was awesome! We made fresh tea and coffee every day for ourselves - the mini living room of the kitchenette was a nice place to relax - indoor pool and rooftop jacuzzi were fun! the only reason I'm subtracting one star is because their website does not have information for how to get to their place from the airport using public transportation (i.e. bus). I e-mailed them to ask and no one ever responded to that e-mail. Not 5 star caliber service. I was able to find out the info by myself, but that lack of communication irked me.

Yelp
This review is based on the banquet hall. I never stayed at le crystal. Had a company Christmas party here. The room has nice atmosphere, however the food can use a lot of improvement. I had a duck confit but it was warm not hot at all. The soup tasted really funny, celery with a hint of curry. The salad was alright... but you must work really hard to mess up a salad. Idk if I would try the restaurant here as the banquet food was pretty upsetting.

Yelp
Our splendid experience at Hotel Le Crystal began at 1:00 AM when we checked in. The employees at the hotel were eager to help us and were genuinely (but professionally) friendly. The concierge arranged for us to have white rose petals in our room as a welcome to our honeymoon. The hotel had all of the amenities we wanted. We loved the free apples at the front desk. The rooms were complete with a mini fridge, microwave, sewing kit, and all of the regular bathroom things. Speaking of the bathroom, we LOVED it. We liked the towel rack in front of the sink and the dual shower heads in the walk-in shower. The hotel was centrally located so it was easy for us to get around. The concierge arranged for us to get a rental car one day so that we could go on a day trip to Mount Trembant. We also appreciated that the hotel was quiet. We never heard anybody else in the hotel the entire time we were in our room. The drapes did an excellent job of blocking out the morning light and permitting us to sleep in. Our only complaints about the hotel were: 1) The fridge wasn't cleaned out from the previous guests. We were mostly concerned about being charged for mini bar usage. We had to talk to the front desk about the fridge issue three times before it was straightened out. Some of the issue was the they wanted to fix the problem immediately (when we were in for the night and going to bed), but we wanted them to wait until we were out during the day. 2) The hotel restaurant was not very good. Part of our honeymoon package was free breakfast one day and two free cocktails. Although we appreciated the gesture, we did not like the breakfast and the cocktails tasted medicinal. The service at the restaurant during the evening was not very good.

Yelp
Got married on Fev 28th and decided to spend my first special night in Le Crystal, who offered a "romantic package" for an extra $120+/night. Sure we got a suite (that we payed for) and everybody was smiling and nice, but then we got in the room. The cover was very thin and the heater was faulty (showed it was 26degrees but was way less). After waiting a bit we called the help desk and asked for extra covers and to get someone to fix the heater. We didnt receive the covers, and the help desk decided to cook us, raising the heating on their end to a burning 29degrees! We had aksed for a in-room breakfast (again, that we paid for) but didn't receive it. Instead we got a phone call from the help desk telling is that they forgot us. When we went to check out we told them all of this and all we got was a somehow mumbled "we're sorry" and we didn't have to pay for the parking. We then told her that we didn't receive our complimentary cocktails (again, paid by yours truly) she gave us two coupons to use next time we go to the hotel bar. Not gonna happen. It was our wedding night, in a 5 star hotel, where we booked a suite with a romance package that we paid (a large) extra for. I'm sorry but free parking is nowhere close to cut it.

Yelp
This is the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in and I had a great time here. I even got to see Hugh Jackman in the lobby! Hey H.J. heeeyyy! A couple tips: - You can get to this place VERY easily from the airport for $9 Canadian. Just stop at a Metro kiosk right before you exit the airport and use your credit card or cash. You can also buy one on the bus with exact coin change. This pass also gives you unlimited metro and bus access for 24 hours. You'll want to get off the bus at the Réne-Lévesque/Drummond stop (you'll see the Céntre Bell on your right) and double back one block to the hotel. During rush hour it takes almost an hour to get there, if not, about 35 minutes. A cab is $45. - There is a small bodega about 4 blocks from the hotel on Metcalfe Street right next to iBurger that sells beer and wine if you so desire. And you can walk through the pretty park, Dorchester Square, on your way there and back. - The closest metro station is about two and half blocks away at Station Lucien-L'Allier. - There is an ATM in the hotel but don't bother unless you have a card with a Chip and Pin. The major Canadian banks in the area all read our cards, the stand alone ATM's were the fussy ones. The hotel staff here if very friendly and helpful with everything from directions, recommendations, room service, etc. House keeping was wonderful, the linens and towels are soft and hypoallergenic. The mini-bar is stocked well...aka dangerous! Yes! The views from the rooms are amazing. The 12th floor indoor pool and sauna and outdoor hot tub is just stupid. In a good way of course. We stayed in a suite that had a bedroom sealed off with a big pocket door, a small dining table, a desk, a couple arm chairs, a pull out sofa that was pretty comfy to sleep on, a kitchenette stocked with a mini fridge, microwave, dishes, NuSpresso machine and electric kettle. The bathroom had a huge deep bathtub and dual head separate shower. Free Wi-Fi! The only thing I would recommend to the hotel staff is a better set of instructions provided for the NuSpresso machine. It's awesome, but if you're used to a machine like a Keurig you're gonna get some interesting results.

Yelp
Can I just live here? That phrase popped into my head about 30 minutes into my first stay at Hotel Le Crystal and has resided there ever since (Note to self: check lobby for thought projectors) I have distinct recollections of traveling around the world and staying in establishments that aspired toward 1 star status. I remember looking longingly into the lobbies of the 5 star places and thinking "One day..." This is the hotel I imagined for "One day" Everything about this hotel simply works. This is not a statement that I make lightly. The aforementioned "One day" happened 20 years ago for me, and since then I have had the good fortune to stay in more than my fair share of the worlds greatest hotels. Here's what makes this one so great: Perfectly balanced use of space to provide a separate bedroom and a fully functional lounge complete with kitchenette AND Nespresso machine. The bathrooms are modern opulence with a rain shower extraordinaire and Mouton Brown toiletries. Well-trained staff are anticipatory, without being intrusive. They work so seamlessly that other high-end hotels should watch scouting films to learn how it's done! Excellent restaurant - La Coupole - onsite. Top notch cuisine and a cool elegant bright room for a power lunch. One of all time favourites in Montreal - oh hell anywhere! OH - They went ahead and answered my wishful thinking - Yes, you CAN live here. There are suite for sale. Bastards!

Yelp
Went to Montreal for a little getaway in early September with my husband and our 4 month old baby to celebrate our wedding anniversary and my birthday. We stayed at Le Crystal for 3 nights. I researched many hotels before finally deciding on Hotel Le Crystal. I was looking for a hotel that offered a suite option or at least a very large room since we wanted to have a separate space for baby when she needed to sleep as well as ample area to lay out all the things one needs when traveling with a baby-- stroller, pack and play, diapers, bottles, breast pump, etc. I was really glad we also went with a room that came with a kitchenette since we needed a place to make milk and store extra food. I originally booked a Deluxe suite but upon arriving to our designated room we were really unhappy with its location. All the deluxe suites are on one side of the hotel and they have a direct view of the construction going on. Unfortunately, there is construction across the street on 2 sides of the hotel. Since we had a baby we really were concerned about the noise level. The hotel staff was very nice in showing us about 4 different available options before we decided to downsize to the Superior room since it looked out to the back of a YMCA/nursery school instead of a construction pit. They even offered us the executive suite at a discounted price but I couldn't justify spending $300 a night for a mini-getaway. I really appreciated the staff for going out of their way to find us a suitable solution. We were disappointed that we couldn't get the larger size room but it was a better compromise to get a quieter location. The best part of the suite is bathroom. Its really spacious and gorgeous. There is a super wide double vanity, amazing soaking tub and rain shower stall next to it. I could have spent my vacation just luxuriating in that tub. The Molton Brown toiletries are definitely a nice touch. You even get bath crystals to use in the tub. Hubby and I look for hotels with a pool when vacationing and usually take advantage of it but was a bit hard going to the pool as a family. I only had a chance to take a peek and from what I saw it looked very relaxing. Hubs took a quick dip and said it was fine. Traveling with our baby for the first time was certainly a bit challenging. Our last night we wanted to find something convenient and the front desk person offered us a 2 for 1 coupon for the onsite restaurant LaCoupole. However after our 2 previous dinner outings where only one of us got to sit during the meal we decided to pass on the prix fixe they were offering. I really regretted that since our alternative was eating really sucky take out roasted chicken with soggy fries that cost $16CAD on the pull out couch while baby slept. We did get room service breakfast which was pricey but very good so I would think the restaurant food would also be comparable. Overall the hotel was a good fit for our vacation needs. I think without the baby we could have enjoyed it even more. The metro is a few blocks away and shopping district is also close by.

Yelp
There is a reason that Le Crystal has a 5 star review on Yelp- the hotel is awesome! We stayed here during our wedding and had blocked off rooms for our guests as well. Everyone had good things to say about their stay: - clean, modern, comfortable suites - amazing double head shower - beautiful lobby - good housekeeping/concierge - best location - free, fast wifi - complimentary coffee and newspapers We stayed in one of the best suites in the hotel with a gorgeous corner view of the city. The beds were so comfortable- I fell asleep as soon as I hit the pillow (although that might be because I was so tired from the wedding events!) A big thank you to Julien and Amelie for helping us with our guests and arranging our stay. If we ever need a hotel downtown Montreal again, we will be staying here! Warning- there is a 26$ valet fee if you park with the hotel. There is a pay lot across the street for much cheaper.

Yelp
This hotel is by far the best hotel I've stayed at in Montreal. I sometimes make the mistake of staying somewhere else and I can honestly say I've checked out of those other hotels and checked into le crystal- even at 8 am no problem. Most hotels/ some hotels are just generally rude or unhelpful, with this hotel you feel like your actually staying away and feeling comfortable. This is the only hotel I will stay at in Montreal for years to come. Perfect sized, no hall noise, do not disturb means do not disturb here, they are also a green friendly hotel. I suggest you stay!

Yelp
::Top notch hotel:: Excellent service Friendly workers Modern feel and ambiance throughout the hotel Convenient location in downtown Montreal, metro, and Bell Centre Suites are roomy Tons of bars around the area The views from the suites are excellent Clean Wonderful smell throughout the hotel Pool, sauna, and workout facility are clean and easy to get to (Closes at 10pm) They accommodate large groups The crystal chandeliers makes this place look amazing.. Wonderful hotel.

Yelp
I didn't get to check out any other hotel in Montreal but after staying here, I'm not sure I care to. The Hotel Le Crystal was awesome. The hotel itself is beautiful. The location is wonderful. The staff is in better! During my stay I even say Novak Djokovic (currently #1 on the ATP World Tour) check-in here. Located in lively part of downtown, the hotel is close to everything. The bars, restaurants, and shopping are all within 1-2 blocks. Oh I forgot to mention, the Bell Center is across the st!!!! I could image this area being crazy during Habs games. I went in the summer so wasn't lucky enough to see a game. The amenities here are great. The pool, gym, sauna, and rooftop spa are just a few of the perks you can find here. The Nespresso machines in all the rooms were so awesome as well. Probably not the cheapest hotel in Montreal but it was well worth the $$$. I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
This is an excellent hotel, though the location for business travelers is a bit off. I stayed at this hotel while they were still completing construction, so not all the amenities were completed, but I wouldn't hesitate to go back. Because of the new nature of the hotel when I stayed, cleanliness wasn't really an issue. The hotel room was huge with a great shower and a true closed off bedroom. It took a bit to get used to the hotel card activated lights, but it wasn't bad once you were used to it. The bed was wonderful. Nice and soft with just enough support. What more can you expect from a new hotel. In fact I found out I was the first guest to stay in the room I was given, so everything was fresh. Gotta love that new hotel smell. The location, as I said, isn't all that great for the business traveler, but if you want access to St Catherine's street or the Air Canada Centre, this is a perfect hotel for that. Breakfast was not part of the deal, but I can certainly comment on the dinner. I ordered room service one night and just wanted a small steak and some vegetables. The food was absolutely divine and satisfied perfectly. It wasn't cheap, but I didn't expect it to be from a hotel like this one. If you are in Montreal for a few days of R&R this is the place to go. If you are in Montreal for business I would rather stay at the Hilton Bonaventure, but maybe that is just me.

Yelp
"Wishing to honour your request for privacy, we were unable to complete our housekeeping service." A card slipped under the door when we declined the services -- such a gracious reply to an ordinary request. I don't recall a more elegant, classy, or sophisticated place where I lay my head. In our suite (note that all their rooms are called "suites," but some are just one big room with both a bed and a sofa; ask for one with separate living area and bedroom) were an iPod dock (why don't more hotels have them?); 2 TVs; an enormous bathroom; a patio big enough for a soccer match, and a kitchenette with a pod coffee maker. Wait, there's more. Molton Brown bath products, free wi-fi, a pool, and a gym, which is small but more than adequately equipped. I didn't get to try the restaurant or the spa, mainly because we were in such a great location, close to everything. And the best part -- the lights don't turn on until you stick the key card into this panel by the front door and go off when you take it out as you leave. Tres vert!!

Yelp
I have only amazing things to say about this hotel. I came with girlfriends to celebrate our 50th birthdays and when we got to our room, we found a complimentary bottle of champagne, glasses, ice and BALLOONS all over our room! What hotel does this after simply mentioning that we were celebrating our birthdays in an email? To top it off, the hotel itself is super luxurious, from its very spacious, modern and updated rooms, to the indoor swimming pool and outdoor hot-tub on the roof, to its robes, beautiful lobby, and great location in downtown Montreal and within walking distance to everything including the Old Town. The concierge, Mylina, went above and beyond to help us have a great time in Montreal, even getting us into the Jellyfish restaurant that same night when it was booked. Mylina was training Maria, as she was leaving soon for maternity leave, who was equally amazing and helpful. They stored our luggage the next day as we walked around the city and returned at 4pm to pick up our car. The porters, the guys parking our car, the receptionists, the pool monitor, and literally everyone we worked with was spectacular. I will definitely be back to stay here the next time I return to Montreal. Thank you for making our birthdays so special!

Yelp
My fiancé and I stayed in one of the Crystal Suites and the entire place was gorgeous. When we sat down on the sofa the first night after a long day of touristy adventures, we felt like we were at home. The room was large and well laid out, the bathroom had a separate tub and rain shower, and two sinks. The hotel itself is located downtown conveniently near most of the stores and restaurants and within walking distance of two metro lines. The indoor pool was refreshing and not crowded. The concierge and staff were friendly and very helpful. What kept me from giving this place five stars were certain little nitpicking details throughout the hotel, none of which detracted from our stay. If I could give Hotel Le Crystal four and a half stars, I would. You can't expect perfection but it was pretty darn close.

Jeff J.

Yelp
I wonder what kind of hotels some of the reviewers here stayed in previously to rate it 5 stars?? 5 Stars is reserved for the likes of a Four Seasons, The Waldorf Astoria NYC, or a Ritz Carlton. Not Le Crystal. As some of the more astute reviewers (certainly more experienced travelers with better taste) say here; this place is more like a Hilton Garden Inn, or a Crowne Plaza or maybe a Marriott. Very bland and average. Beige. What are some of the people here raving about? Our experiences... The pool was closed. The restaurant had difficulty making a waffle and pancake breakfast - which went back to the kitchen. The hotel is not a high-rise! The hotel portion only goes up to the 11th floor. The floors above the pool are long-term residences. The shower was no big deal. Ours had peeling paint. The room was "nice". Not gorgeous, and not 5 star for sure. The bed was very comfortable but everything in the room is beige. Who gushes over a Mini-bar? News-Flash, nothing is free, and everything costs 5 times more than in any store. There is only one restaraunt. The room service was "business hotel typical" and not worth $65. for a burger and a turkey club. There is no gift shop, not even a mail box. "You can see the Bell Center". Who cares? That has little value unless you came to see a game. If you have business in this part of Montreal and the Marriott is booked....I suggest you fire up your laptop and book one of the small boutique hotels. If I had to do it all over again, that's what I would do. In the future I will read more reviews before making my choice. There are a lot of travelers that are too easily impressed for their $300 + per night. Did I mention everything is beige? The hotel and the buildings nearby are undergoing renovations/construction. In some instances massive demolition. The traffic and THE NOISE were NOT BELIEVABLE. NOT a good time.

Yelp
Wow! This is hotel is immaculate. I stayed in a Superior Suite and it truly was superior. My room was very large with a separate bedroom, extra large bathroom complete with rainfall shower heads, pull out sofa, two large flat screen tv's and a small kitchenette. Perfect for a week long stay! I was very impressed with Le Crystals contribution to keeping this planet green. The electricity in the room only functions if the card is in the card lock - great energy saver! The hotel is with in walking distance to a lot of hot spots in downtown Montreal. I noticed they had a Spa as well but didn't have time to indulge. Perhaps next time. Staff was friendly and attentive. I would definitely stay here again if given the opportunity. P.S - I saw Zinedine Zidane & several NHL players in my hotel over my stay here.

Nathan D.

Yelp
Very nice boutique hotel right in the thick of it. Very good location, lots of great restaurants, shopping is a block up (Peel Street) can walk to Metro if you are a SUBWAY type of person. The Bell Centre is there (NHL, Concerts, etc) Very nicely done. Have only stayed during Formula One Grand Prix weekends, so is a bit noisy at night, as well as the typical Formula 1 epic price increase....it is pretty choice, though. The W is awful by comparison, if that puts in perspective.

Yelp
My family and I stayed here on a recent trip to Montreal. They were great. Within about 30 minutes of getting to the room. I received a text message from them if the room was satisfactory and if I needed anything else just to text back. It was so handy. Couple times I would just text for requests and they would probably respond or complete the request. They asked for a children's size robe and slippers for my daughter As we were stepping out for dinner. Sent it to them by text. By the time we came back to the room it was all laid out. The rooms were very clean. The toilet trees were nice. We enjoyed the time in the pool and the hot tub. The pool is saltwater. Nice touch. There's also a lifeguard there full-time during Pool hours. Great Hotel to stay at if you are going to a hockey game. Just 1 block away from the Bell center.

Yelp
What's to say about this place? It's my go to hotel any time I visit Montreal. I'm here this week for a vacation and the UFC and this is always where I choose to stay. Separate bedroom from TV and dining area, great bed and pillows, excellent mood lighting, and the best shower out of any hotel I've stayed at. It's a rainshower that rains from the ceiling as well as a secondary faucet. Oh and let's not forget the high quality amenities like the Moulton Brown soaps and shampoos. I recommend this hotel to anyone. Although I do notice a couple scuffs on the wall this time and some grout in the shower that needs fixing.

Yelp
(score 1-100) - 95. I've stay in over 50 hotels in Montreal. I've been to almost all the of the top rated places, Loews, QE, W, Westin, Riz and they are all great but what makes this place great is that it has a little bit of everything. The rooms are very modern New York City condo like. Modern bed, furnishings, all come with deep type soaking tub and separate modern shower. All the rooms come with Nespresso machines and they keep a well stocked variety of coffee capsules. This is a nice touch because these really are the best expresso machines on the market. My first stay here actually started a huge Nespresso wave with my close friends, we all ended up buying multiple machines for our homes and offices. My friend who owned over a hundred coffee shops said that this machine was better than the 3000 dollar machines he used to have in his shops. The hotel is similar to the Intercontinental in that the top part of the building is condominiums and the bottom part is the hotel. One of the great difference makers of this hotel is the outdoor hot tub. It is large and on a decent sized deck and is one of the best places to hang out at night. I've been in their many times during inclement weather (nope..not cold at all!) with a cocktail in hand. It is very social and you can't have a better view of looking over the city. If you are looking for a super romantic time go up when it's snowing and a bottle of wine, you'll surely get some romantic points! It is super picturesque with the snow and the city in the background. There is an indoor pool along with a workout room that overlooks the city. Great location, you can walk to St. Catherine St and all the shops and downtown attractions and underground mall. This place is a little pricey, sometimes around 300, if you can get around 200 you are doing well. TIP: Start with Expedia as price point but go to the Montreal Casino site and check out the hotel or stay/play deals. Usually you pay full price for one night and half price for the second night. You'll end up saving over Expedia on some deals.

Yelp
The staff is amazing and so is the hotel ... a great place to be for a goodnight sleep.

Yelp
This is a beautiful hotel downtown montreal, great staff up front, reasonable rates (i booked via expedia), really nice rooms with huge bathrooms, rain shower head etc. enjoy.

Ash S.

Yelp
Great room. Clean with good in room facilities and bits and pieces such as loofah, shower cap etc. Room service menu had a good variety, delivered without lengthy delays and the food was delicious. Restaurant great. Fish and venison were the best options in the menu. Internet was a little slow and occasionally cut out. For a business trip it was a little annoying but still a really good hotel.

D C.

Yelp
Beautiful amenities in a fun location! I didn't love the spa, but there are plenty in the city to try.

Sean C.

Yelp
Not a great experience for a high end place. I will say that the rooms are nice and the beds are comfortable but that's about it. Check in was slow, waiting 15 minutes in line as there was only one person working the front desk. After check in (this was around 530 pm) I went to my room only to find out the cleaning wasn't completed. There was still garbage in the bins and there wasnt any toiletries (soap, shampoo etc) in the room. To make matters more aggravating, I noticed a mini bar charge on my card the next day, despite not eating/drinking anything. The charge was refunded, but it's clear that they didn't bother to do inventory after the previous guest. Certainly seems like there are management issues here.

Yelp
I really wanted to like Hotel Le Crystal, and expected to, given all the five-star ratings on Yelp and elsewhere. However, when my three friends and I stayed here over the New Year, one thing after another (after another) went wrong. We started our stay by checking into a beautiful Deluxe Suite, with a sizable bedroom with a king-sized bed, a living room with a pull out (I can say from experience that it was pretty comfortable), and a fully equipped kitchenette/dining area. We spent some time in the twelfth-floor hot tub, which was amazing even despite the frigid temperatures, and the staff was courteous and pleasant when someone else took one of our robes, which - of course - was the one with our room key inside. They were quick to fix the problem, deactivate all of our cards, and bring us new ones (and a new robe). Day two, things started to go downhill. We woke up in the morning eager to make good use of our Nespresso machine. We popped a capsule into the machine, put a cup underneath, pushed the button, and out came a petering little flow of coffee that barely filled the cup an eighth of the way. We tinkered with it until we realized we had to push the button for a lungo and stop it halfway through to get a proper espresso. Annoying, but not a huge deal. We enjoyed a lovely day in Montreal and came back to the room to get ready, which of course required some music. We put an iPod into the dock and...nothing. There were very specific instructions on the dock, which we each tried to follow at least once, to no avail. Fortunately it still charged, but only for a little while before it started making feedback noises. We played the iPod from its speakers instead. After a long night out, we slept until noon the next morning. Everyone was up and ready to order room service by 1pm, so we called down to order from the breakfast menu and were told it would take a half hour. We waited patiently, for 45 minutes, then an hour before we called down to see what was going on. The same person picked up and said he'd been trying to call us but didn't have our room number, the kitchen was no longer serving breakfast. First off, he works at the hotel, he should have known the breakfast hours. Second, from other interactions with the staff, I'm fairly certain the room number shows on their phone when we call, so he just forgot to write it down. Even if that wasn't the case, it's still his fault for forgetting to ask for the room number. So he said we could order brunch (for which we didn't have a menu) or he could ask the kitchen if they could still make our original order. They sent a brunch menu upstairs, which was significantly more expensive than the breakfast menu. I called to order and explained the situation, and he passed me on to someone else. I explained to him what was going on, and he transferred me again. I ended up on hold for five minutes until the right person finally picked up and then said, "oh, let me go ask the kitchen," which is what he said he'd do 15 minutes earlier. I was on hold for another few minutes before he came back and said yes, the kitchen can do it. This was wonderful and all, but we could have just had the entire thing settled in the first place. So we waited another half hour for the food, and signed for the bill without realizing at first that we were overcharged. I called downstairs to ask for a copy of the receipt, to which the response was, "don't you have a copy?" Nope, I wasn't given one. Someone returned a few minutes later with the receipt, and lo and behold, we were overcharged $20 on a $110 bill. We called down to fix it (at this point it was more on principle than anything else) and were told to call back the next morning, when the woman who can fix it would be at the hotel. I'll spare the details, but she basically gave us the runaround the next morning, when we were in a hurry to check out, even going so far as to tell us to come down to the restaurant so she could fix it when the restaurant wasn't even open. Thankfully the front desk got everything straightened out, but they obviously had no intention to fix it until forced. I don't want to say that Hotel Le Crystal has terrible service, because we did have good experiences with other staff members, but the entire room service situation left a horrible taste in our mouths. It's centrally located and beautiful, but I won't take a chance and stay here again, which is unfortunate when the problem could have been so easily remedied but instead we were given the runaround at every turn.

Yelp
I stayed here for 7 days for a convention that my employer had and this hotel opened onby in February 2008 so it was new. I got upgraded to a deluxe room which is a big plus. There was a seperate bedroom and a view of the Bell Centre where the Montreal Canadiens play. The rooms were clean and had 2 flatscreens TVs. Service is impeccable and everyone is friendly. The hotel was located pretty much in the middle of Montreal and within walking distance to everything we wanted to do. Free compouter on the 3rd floor and the swimming pool and outdoor hot tub was nice. Would definelty stay here again if in Montreal

Yelp
This hotel was one of the worst hotel experiences I I have ever had. I won a contest and I was set up at Le Crystal which is supposedly a 4 star hotel. The hotel started off with a bang in the frustration department. We tried to check in to our room on a Fri night and, the hotel clerk, who went by the name of Orleans says we are not booked for Fri-Mon We are booked for Sat-Sun after we had just confirmed the reservations. On top of us getting screwed around with the booking,we were suppose to be set up in a a premium suite with a balcony for smoking and, we were called liars and made to feel like we were trying to do something underhanded to the hotel. I have never been more insulted at a supposedly classy hotel in my life. As was said in a previous review, our thermostat was broken and, not matter what the temp said, you couldn't set the thermostat past 26°C and, it was nowhere near that temperature in the room. I think the highlight of our disastrous stay at Le Crystal was when we found what appeared to be roaches in our bed. Add to this our cordless phone was broken and my girlfriend is disabled and staying in the most poorly laid out and inaccessible room I have ever seen. Anyone who reads all the glowing recommendations and sees all the awards this hotel has won, ignore it. Le Crystal is not a luxury hotel, it is a sorry excuse for a hotel. P.s Yelp does not permit you to give a hotel of a rating less then 1/5 or I would butm, if I could say anything nice, I would say the fact that the hotel was a 5min walk from the Bell Centre is a positive.

Carol P.

Yelp
I would rate this hotel 5 stars. However, the mediocre restaurant ( I paid 33 $ for a not too impressive cheese plate and a beer), the bad ratings from other customers were true, fortunately there are many restaurants at a walking distance , however a good 5 star hotel should have a good restaurant as a flagship. Also, I happened to have bad communication with the reception desk, when asking for some housekeeping services at night to get the sofa bed ready they never came and nobody seemed to want to pick my call... At least they could explain me how to open the sofa... Not very attentive. On the positive side rooms are very comfy; and the swimming pool, jacuzzi and fitness room on the top floor are excellent. Location is also very convenient, 3 minutes walking distance from the main shopping street ( Rue Sante Catherine) and 5 min from the foodie street (Rue Crescent). All in all, I would recommend it indeed.

Tanya G.

Yelp
Love this place! They do everything right from the Nespresso machine in your room to the complimentary water. The bathtubs are HUGE and the shower sexy. The room service is hot, very good quality and super fast! I would stay here again without hesitation.

Amanda A.

Yelp
This is a beautiful hotel with amazing service. I am so glad I stayed here on my trip to Montreal. It is located close to many great restaurants, the Bell Centre, and shopping on St. Catharines. Come to think of it, I didn't take a taxi or the Metro once on my entire stay here, everything was in walking distance. As others have mentioned, there is the cool feature where your room's electricity does not work without your key card inserted into the wall. I spent 15 minutes looking for a "Do not disturb" sign, only to realize it is a button you press on the wall beside your door. It was clean, the bathroom was huge with a separate tub and shower, and really, I just loved everything about this room. Everyone at the front desk spoke English and French and were very helpful. My only word of caution is that the mini-bar and movie rentals are incredibly expensive. I think around $15 per movie? And no I'm not talking about THAT kind of movie, but I'm sure it would run you a small fortune.
