Washburn Point

The extra 16-mile drive to Washburn Point is absolutely worth it! The views are majestic, breathtaking, and truly awe-inspiring. As a frequent Yosemite visitor, my first trip to Washburn and Glacier Point was unforgettable. My only regret is not arriving earlier to explore the hiking trails. Highly recommend!

There aren't enough stars for this site. It was rainy, foggy and very chilly on the day this was scheduled. Oh my heavens, talk about a first impression! I wish the photos did it justice. I might have missed seeing it but I used the Shaka App where I purchased the Yosemite self guided Tour. I don't get a penny from Shaka but it revolutionized our not missing anything or wasting time searching for the sites.

One of the most stunning views in the park. Look out for Vernal and Nevada Falls below. Especially enchanting at sunset - but don't forget to go to Glacier Point just up the road!

Amazing place from the Sierra Nevada. You are taking a look from the eagle view. Sinery is supper.

Anything less than five stars is bs. This vista has amazing views and if you are traveling to Glacier Point, you REALLY need to stop here first. the views are fantastic!

Just for your info: There is no ticket counter and also you need no tickets. The view was amazing, you could probably see more than 10 miles far and you get see all of the green landscape. I think this is one of the best spots for a picnic, because of the amazing view and the access to trash bins. There is not much more to say, that if you also are there to visit the Glacier point, I recommend making a stop there and enjoying the view.

The best viewpoint overall in Yosemite NP. Even has sitting spots (on some rocks)

On the way to the famous Glacier Point, please make a stop at Washburn Point. It's beautiful place to view the waterfalls and Half Dome from a different angle. It's less crowded.
