Great place to visit, with some amazing views of the Buddha. Can get quite crowded, but this is a must see when visiting Bangkok. The surrounding neighborhood is great to visit and get a feel for the “real” Bangkok. Don’t forget to visit one of the nearby cafes or the cafe along the canal below the viewing platform. You can feed the koi fish on the temple grounds, which is fun to do. 🙏 💛

Very big Buddha. Beautiful it is. There are 5 floors to go see in the temple beside the big Buddha. The Buddha statue was under some construction when we visited the temple. And in the temple there are 5 floors. The top floor has a beautiful view of the city. And top floor ceiling is also beautiful. Lot of statues in all floors. There is a lift to go to the top floor. Better take a lift to the top floor and walk down. View from the top floor is beautiful. The ceiling in the top floor is also beautiful. There is a paid parking lot nearby.

What an amazing inside of that temple. I never saw something like that before and i am pretty sure not will again. The vibrant colours and the eye for details are amazing. Definitely worth visiting. There are also a bunch of cafes around the temple to have a nice coffee before the next sidequest.

I walked around the spacious temple grounds after getting nearby. It was lively and full of people visiting to worship, giving the whole place a deeply spiritual atmosphere. You need to remove your shoes before entering the buildings, and snacks were being offered too. The temple sits beneath the large Buddha statue visible from Bangkok. Getting there can be a bit difficult, so using Grab or a motorbike is recommended. There are lots of food stalls and small shops nearby, making it a fascinating place to explore.
