Wat Phumin was a meaningful stop during our week-long road trip across Nan Province from 31 December 2025 to 6 January 2026, a journey that blended cultural landmarks with natural escapes to welcome the year 2025–2026. Located right in the heart of Nan city, this temple stands as a graceful symbol of the region’s rich Lanna heritage and spiritual roots that once flourished here. Visiting it as part of our year-end and fresh-start journey made the experience feel even more special.
Although we only had a brief time to stop by, Wat Phumin left us truly lost for words. The temple’s traditional architecture, sacred atmosphere, and cultural legacies immediately draw you into a sense of calm and reverence. Observing the peaceful religious practices and the quiet respect of visitors added to the deeply spiritual ambiance, making it a place where time seems to slow down despite being in the city center.
I would strongly recommend Wat Phumin to anyone visiting Nan. Even if your trip focuses more on exploring the province’s beautiful mountains and forests, this temple is well worth a stop to understand Nan’s cultural and spiritual identity. It is a serene, inspiring place that beautifully complements the natural wonders spread across the province.
