Wat Pothisomphon Phra Aram Luang

Beautiful, clean and quiet temple. We came when there was an event on the main hall so we just went around the other side where there was not people at all. The buildings are all well maintained. It was just recently repainted and the gold/red paint are perfect combination of classy and regal. The grounds are also clean and there's a lot of trees and plants. Worth the short visit.

The Temple grounds cover a large area and include many attractive buildings, but the centre piece is the beautiful Pagoda. You can climb the steps of the Pagoda where there are galleries on two levels. It's worth going upto the 2nd level for the best view of the whole site. Plenty of space for parking and free to visit. I noticed that apart from buildings like the Ordination and Assembly Halls which unfortunately were closed for access, there is also a funary building complete with Crematoria.

The Wat looks so majestic with the Naga lining the stairs. You can climb to the top that gives you a commanding view of the compound. There are 3 floors where you can enter the temple to pray. On the 3rd floor, the mural on the wall is beautiful. You will have removed your shoes to enter. After the temple visit, you can walk over to the Nong Prajak Park, which is across the road.

Close to the city. Very famous temple and kept in the Thai Buddhist traditions. There are many famous monks who have stayed here. Beautiful Chedi that has 3 levels and statues of monks. The top level is for meditation. Not a tourist attraction but a real indication of what being a true monk and Buddhist is about. It is free and doesn't have people trying to sell you things free entry

Very beautiful temple with huge chedi. Nice temple area to walk around and it’s even possible to go to the top of the chedi and get a nice overview of the temple grounds and surrounding areas. Absolute a must visit temple here in Udon Thani in my opinion

Beautiful Thai temples Located in the middle of the city there's a few sights to see in this area. Not to mention the lake with large inflatable ducks. It's the normal standard beautiful Thai temples you see everywhere. Probably a good idea to go early because it gets so hot. A little tip is if you take the tram card city tour from Central plaza around Udon Thani it takes you here with a 20 min break. These tours depart 11:30am and 2:30 pm from memory.
