This was my first time visiting Wat Tham Sue, and I was blown away. The massive golden Buddha is even more impressive in real life than in photos. The temple stays on a hilltop with 360° views of green rice fields and mountains. I went in the afternoon and the light was perfect for photos. The climb up the stairs wasn’t too difficult, but I’d recommend using cable car, which costs 40 baht per round. The architecture is a mix of Thai and Chinese styles, with colorful details and a peaceful vibe.
Highly recommend this place if you’re in Kanchanaburi 👍🏻👍🏻

The Tiger Cave Temple is stunning, with its giant golden Buddha statue and panoramic views over the countryside. The stair climb is worth it – at the top you’re rewarded with breathtaking scenery and a peaceful atmosphere. A must-visit when exploring Kanchanaburi.

if you’re up for a serious climb, excited by views and meditation, and respectful of the temple’s spiritual side. It’s a sweaty, tough trek—but the summit will leave you feeling accomplished, energized, and more than a little inspired.

The temple we made our second visit from six years ago, recently they have an elevator in construction the time we went on June2025.
It's worth going up, the huge Buddha architecture is stunning and the peaceful rice fields view from above are all the elements that made me want to come pay a visit again.

Wow alot of steps to walk up at the start but the view and the temple is very beautiful and definitely worth it !! There is a cable car 20 baht per person to take you to the bottom of you don't want to walk down again
Fantastic place

The cable car was closed; the temple closes before 4pm. Reach in time if you want to see everything. Overall, very beautiful temple. You can go to the cafés in the other side of the hill to get incredible views of the temple.

A nice temple visit. Not many people today. Big car park area. There are toilets at ground level and more basic toilets at the top. You can sit the tram up/down at 40 baht per person.
