The walkway passes through many areas of interest including: Colinton Village and Dell, the Union Canal, Saughton Winter Gardens, Murrayfield Stadium, the Scottish Gallery of Modern Art, Dean Village, Stockbridge, the Royal Botanic Garden and Leith. Ideal for family walks, the walkway is a delightful afternoon’s stroll, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The route is suitable for cycling and is accessible in part by wheelchairs and even by horseback."

Edinboro is a magical place. One of our favorite places here in Edinboro is the wonderful Water of Leith path. It's a scenic footpath that follows the river. It is a wonderful place. Takes you through Dean village , Stockbridge village, all the way down to Leith. It's awesome.

Very nice scenic path ways specially Dean village which is very close to Princess Street. A must go place in Edinburgh if anyone has plenty of time. Public restroom is available in modern Art museum which is midway on the trail.

Great walkways away from the city. Can be quiet at times passing some of the more urban areas so be aware.
