The resort is not luggage/trolley friendly, no staff to help you carry with your wheeled luggage and you need to carry it all the way to your accommodation. The path are soil ground with stepping stones only. No option to include breakfast for the price compared to other nearby resorts. Most of the time, all dishes are out of stock. Like in the breakfast where they only have 1 corned beef left and no more other options. The accommodation is bamboo/wood, and it is a hassle to bring your luggage up to the 2nd-floor bedroom (the ground floor has the bathroom and resting area) on a ladder. There is no bright light, and you have to struggle at night with just a dim yellowish bulb, which is not enough even for reading. Good: It's near Loboc River. They have a beautiful platform by the river where you can eat breakfast, or do a good reading. This place is also good for those who want quiet stay.

The good: - The rooms provide a great setting as you are basically staying in a treehouse in the jungle. - the room has ample space and comes with a fan and mosquito net - the general environment of the ecolodge is pretty amazing to say the least The bad: - we had dinner and breakfast at the lodge and unfortunately have to say it is too expensive for the price. I would advise to eat at the only other restaurant down the road. - I understand the concept is to be an ecolodge but a hot shower would be nice for the price. - the downstairs area of our hut was not super clean and quite sandy. - the tours are quite expensive compared to what is available down the road. - rooms can be kinda close to the reception which breaks a bit the jungle experience. Overall we had a good stay but there might be better options at similar pricing in the area.

Lovely tree houses directly at the Loboc River. Totally recommed to anyone who loves a quiet get-away in pure nature. The staff is super nice and the food as also amazing! They offer a great range of tours but you can also just chill in a hammock and enjoy the silence. Looking at some older pictures here on Google they seem to continuosly improve the premises! Make sure you pack your bug-spray. Also, don‘t be afraid of spiders and geckos 😉

Amazing place with amazing people. Highly recommend if you want some little adventure in the jungle, food was also really good and they help you with anything. Beautiful garden with lots to explore and close contact with nature🦎

The place looks like a paradise and the staff makes you feel like you’re in one too! We stayed here for two nights and left totally relaxed. The food’s really good but you have to be there on time because the kitchen closes around 20h (so if you want the possibility to chose the whole menu you should be there around 19h30) You can rent a motorbike (400p) and cruise around in the amazing nature, go to the Chocolate Hills or the waterfalls. 10/10 would visit it again!

The staff make this place. The shared dorm is extremely basic (hence the price) but it’s a wonderful experience to be fully immersed in nature and beside the river

If you're considering a stay at Water to Forest Ecolodge, think again. From the moment we arrived, our experience was nothing short of terrible. Miscommunication, hidden fees, and an utterly disappointing SUP experience turned what should have been a relaxing getaway into a nightmare. Here's why you should steer clear of this place:||Our stay began with a nasty surprise: we were informed, only upon arrival, that our shower was under construction. Instead, we were forced to use a common area with no warm water or proper showering equipment. This critical information was not communicated in advance, leaving us no choice but to accept it. As a weak consolation, the lodge offered us a free breakfast—hardly enough to make up for the inconvenience and the only reason they earned even a single star from us.||As if that weren’t bad enough, we were slapped with an unexpected environmental fee, also hidden until we arrived. Despite this, we decided to go ahead with a SUP experience combo (sunset and firefly watching) for 1,200 per person, hoping for some redemption. Unfortunately, this turned out to be another disaster.||We began the journey at 5:20 pm with smelly vests and zero instructions. The so-called instructor only provided information when asked, displaying a complete lack of professionalism. By 5:30-5:40 pm, we were told there would be no sunset due to clouds—something they could have informed us about earlier. When we specifically asked about the fireflies, the instructor assured us it would still be a unique experience.||We paddled for an hour through a lake that reeked of sewage. When we finally reached the "firefly location" at 6:45 pm, we were shown a single tall tree with no fireflies in sight. The instructor then explained that the bright moonlight was preventing the fireflies from being active—a fact he could have easily noticed at the start of the journey. We were left to paddle back for 50 minutes, exhausted and demoralized, with the instructor barely assisting us. To make matters worse, his headlamp wasn’t even charged, leaving us in the dark—literally and figuratively.||When we returned, we approached the owner, Dmitri, to discuss the situation and politely asked if the price could be reconsidered. His dismissive response was that the lack of fireflies was "nature" and that even if they had informed us earlier, it would have been wrong to cancel since the instructor was already booked. To add insult to injury, we later discovered that our so-called instructor was just a gardener at the hotel, who we saw around the property the entire evening and the next day.||Dinner that evening was another disappointment—only the bruschetta was remotely edible. The next morning, at checkout, we were hit with additional surprise fees for government and service charges, which we begrudgingly paid just to escape this nightmare. But the ordeal didn’t end there. We discovered our motorbike had been moved without our consent, and it wouldn’t start. After a closer inspection, we found that a part had been removed/“unscrewed and lost”, which caused it not to start. We ended up waiting three hours in the blazing sun for a resolution, while the staff tried to dodge responsibility. The "instructor/gardener" who moved it suddenly pretended not to speak English, and the manager, Dmitri, refused to help, claiming it wasn’t his problem.||In conclusion, I strongly advise you to book another resort and save yourself time, money, disappointment, and stress. This was an absolutely horrific experience that I wouldn't wish on anyone.

Very bad experience, some people intoxicated because of the food, very bad ubication and a manager who doesn't want to recognize the error. We booked four nights and we left before first night. THE WORSE EXPERIENCE WE HAVE HAD IN HOTELS.
