Great garden but sadly run by very defensive owner/ poor management . ||Please read attached screen shots to see defensive owner’s response to my honest google review. Says it all. ||By the way we left with 500 tips to the staff after we got “kicked out” as we complained about construction noises since day 1. ||Never mind the in room non existent WiFi, I also struggled to get online in front desk area so wasn’t able to make upcoming travel arrangements till last minute. ||Ps I did not get warned of the ongoing construction before booking or checking in. ||On last day we really wanted some peace and quiet so moved to hotel next door and they are amazing, quiet , great WiFi as well. So no, not the whole area is affected. ||Orginal review that got defensive reply from owner : ||Great staff, cool treehouse never mind the bugs, one black out during 4 day stay. 1 star off for having construction during the entire stay, they should consider closing the lodge while work is being done or warn us so we don’t book.||We travel all the way for peace and quiet but end up with construction work noises all day .||Another star off for no stable WiFi it took me an hour to send a message just to arrange the next leg our trip.||Another star off for realising someone had been in our open private toilet while we were sitting out on the dock. The toilet hose was left on toilet bowl, and mud all over floor. Hotel should consider security and privacy when you get 10 constructions workers coming in and out daily.

The very nice and beautiful place for tourists to stay and enjoy the natural landscape of Loboc river. Staffs are very helpful and kind with tourists. Highly recommended resort

It is very unfortunate that this site has a new owner. He has been running this business for 8 months. We have £200 stolen at this venue. We booked through booking.com.||||Series of events ||||08:00 hrs: On the morning of the 14th February, I checked my wallet and all money was in the wallet I then locked my case and hid the keys in the front of my case, as we had hired scouters from the hotel to go out for the day. It is important to note that the room we had was a private room. However, the rooms are open with only ill fitting curtains for privacy, and in close proximity to other guests and staff.||||16:00 hrs onwards: On arriving from our day out, we returned the bike keys and returned back to our room to pack. We were gather our belongings and noticed a small hand luggage looked like it had been moved. And the case zipper head position had changed. I then opened the case and checked the contents to find money missing from the wallet. The contents of the case were out of order like they’d been rifled through. This case was the only case to be locked. ||||Myself and my partner then double checked all our belongings in case we were mistaken our any other belongings were missing. Nothing more had been taken. ||||We then checked again before going to the receptionist to discuss the missing money. She asked if I was sure I explained we double checked as wouldn’t go in to this lightly. The receptionist then requested we go to the room and double checked which we did and the money was still not found. ||||The receptionist asked why we didn’t lock the tree house hatch. I explained we wasn’t given a key nor was we made aware there was a key to lock the hatch. ||||The receptionist apparently called all the staff to question if anyone had been in the room that day. One of the staff had supposedly been in our room to turn off the lights. There are only two sets of lights in the room one set is operated by a switch by the bed and the other with a set by the bed and a light outside the room near the entrance. This seems to be very unlikely as we turned the lights and fans off as we left in the morning and then closed the hatch. ||||The receptionist then called the owner who clearly wasn’t interested and did nothing to support any type of investigation efforts and was uncooperative and implied I was lying. After sometime I did convince the receptionist to contact the police. However, they spoke in Filipino and nothing was progressed. ||||In summary: An incident such as this has never happened to me before, and due to this incident this has to be the worst stay I have had anywhere in the world. This hotel is not a safe place and open to anyone to access, which is evident in the fact that money was stolen from our room and by the fact we got a taxi at 04:15 am this morning, the member of night staff was asleep in the reception. The area around the hotel is obviously not safe as a hotel a short walk from where we stayed (Fox and Fire Fly) has an armed guard 24/7. I would just like to add so you understand my character I’m a Royal Navy Veteran and my current role is as a regulator for the environment agency which fall under DEFRA a part of the government. I would caution against anyone using this hotel not to stay here at the moment as there is a risk. I however, understand I should possibly of not taken cash with me and should have been more careful. With that in mind the hotel should provide keys lock the padlocks on the hatches and room safes and CCTV to be fitted. With that in mind the owner has stated he will investigate this for the future. However, the owner has taken no responsibility and no action to investigate or compensate for what happened to us in his property and in my opinion he lacks any form of respect or integrity and failed to act in an appropriate manner.

The good: - The rooms provide a great setting as you are basically staying in a treehouse in the jungle. - the room has ample space and comes with a fan and mosquito net - the general environment of the ecolodge is pretty amazing to say the least The bad: - we had dinner and breakfast at the lodge and unfortunately have to say it is too expensive for the price. I would advise to eat at the only other restaurant down the road. - I understand the concept is to be an ecolodge but a hot shower would be nice for the price. - the downstairs area of our hut was not super clean and quite sandy. - the tours are quite expensive compared to what is available down the road. - rooms can be kinda close to the reception which breaks a bit the jungle experience. Overall we had a good stay but there might be better options at similar pricing in the area.

The resort is not luggage/trolley friendly, no staff to help you carry with your wheeled luggage and you need to carry it all the way to your accommodation. The path are soil ground with stepping stones only. No option to include breakfast for the price compared to other nearby resorts. Most of the time, all dishes are out of stock. Like in the breakfast where they only have 1 corned beef left and no more other options. The accommodation is bamboo/wood, and it is a hassle to bring your luggage up to the 2nd-floor bedroom (the ground floor has the bathroom and resting area) on a ladder. There is no bright light, and you have to struggle at night with just a dim yellowish bulb, which is not enough even for reading. Good: It's near Loboc River. They have a beautiful platform by the river where you can eat breakfast, or do a good reading. This place is also good for those who want quiet stay.

Lovely tree houses directly at the Loboc River. Totally recommed to anyone who loves a quiet get-away in pure nature. The staff is super nice and the food as also amazing! They offer a great range of tours but you can also just chill in a hammock and enjoy the silence. Looking at some older pictures here on Google they seem to continuosly improve the premises! Make sure you pack your bug-spray. Also, don‘t be afraid of spiders and geckos 😉

What an amazing experience! The room only had curtains, above the bed we had a net and a fen (perfectly enough). It was very comfortable, they also cleaned every day. Nice to get out from the city-comfort. (There are many insects around, be ready!) The stuff was so kind and helpful with organising and recommending activities. We could rent a scooter and easily drive around the places we wanted to visit. A bit remote location, but they make such good food there (all day long available)! Worth trying some! We could have stayed just one more day there without programs just to chill. Highly recommended!!!
