Fantastic place to kayak! The views are incredible and the boats are very respectful of kayakers and others in the water. $10 feet is worth it!!

I cannot begin to describe the calmness and serenity of this place and such a cute picnic spot with absolutely picturesque views of water, the sun and greenery & orange-ery & red-ery(Fall). You can also go for Kayaking, kayaks are available and there is ample space to park. Cute Benches under trees and green grass to sit if you want. Love the location! Very quiet and peaceful! Breathe some fresh air and relax! Please note there are no trash cans there, so please take a trash bag with you to bring back the garbage.

Super calm and quiet. I almost went kayaking here, but the water was a little cold for my liking - I’m sure it would have been incredible, though. There’s a trail that’s pretty straightforward but not particularly noteworthy.

I bought my vt season pass after going here. The boat ramp is a simple in and out. The attendant is nice as pie. The extra help us pleasant and helpful. Keep in mind the no wake zones. Love this lake.

My son was upset when we first got there and didn't want to get out of the car, but once he did I couldn't get him out of the water to leave!!! They had so much fun so did I, we will definitely being going back again soon!!!

Prices are reasonable, $29 for 2hr kayak rental. Lake is quiet and has a boat launch as well. Only one trail leads around a short hilly loop. So not the best place to hike, but the kayaking is worth admissions. You can also bring your own for free, which sweetens the deal. Great views of mountains from lake!

Amazing place for kayaking and view of fall colors around the lake. Perfect picnic spot too. Nice trails around for a decent walk.

Yelp
Beautiful reservoir about nine miles long. We enjoyed kayaking and canoeing for a few hours. There are many people paddle boarding as well. A great way to spend a sunny day in Waterbury state park. There are also picnic tables and barbecue grills for those who enjoy picnics. Swimming too! State Park Admission: $8 Renting canoes and kayaks: $35 for 2 hours, $10 each additional hour.

Yelp
This is a beautiful hilly park that overlooks Waterbury Reservoir, with BBQ grills and picnic benches right up on top of the grassy hill. We came on one overcast afternoon, and the view from the top was still spectacular. Once you turn onto Reservoir Road off the main road, the ticket gate is only about a minute's drive, and a drive for a further 30 seconds or so will take you to a dead end where you can park and take in the view. The park is less known than Little River State Park, but close to the Cider Mill and Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Factory, so it was a natural stop for us, and I'm glad we did!

Yelp
Beautiful scenic park and reservoir in the middle of Waterbury VT. Small fee to enter.
