If you read reviews of this place in the last year, you’ll see a common theme of longtime repeat customers who are less than trilled with the change in ownership. Although I did not stay here under the previous owner, I immediately understood the sentiment. New owner is absolutely riding the coattails of the previous owner and it shows. Boutique hotels are supposed to have a warm cozy feeling, this place has absolutely zero hospitality from the owner who barely even looked at me let alone wave or say hello or thanks or anything. Service from the front desk was equally abysmal. I stayed for three nights and after the first night they asked me if I wanted my room cleaned, which I thought was very strange considering that’s quite literally their job. I said yes it would be a good time as I was on my way to go out and about. Fast forward to that evening, they never cleaned the room, I mean nothing, not even taking the trash out. Wasn’t cleaned that day or any day during my three night stay.
To be fair the location is great and the foundations of the hotel all quite nice, but it doesn’t deserved to be called a boutique hotel with a 4.6 rating, that was due to previous owner.
