This is a the gift shop and cafe setup at the Mount Fields NP Visitor Centre. Opening hours are 10am to 4pm daily. The shop focuses more on art, books and nice souvenirs compared to your typical visitor centre gift shop. The cafe has a fair amount of indoor and outdoor seating and offer a range of savoury and sweet food items, typical of coffee shop and cafes around Tasmania. We had a pretty good slice of carrot cake and Long Black coffee after hiking a couple of the trails that start at the visitor centre. Prices are reasonable, service just fine. Both the cake and coffee tasted just fine. It is a convenient spot for a light bite or drink as part of your visit to the National Park.

I always stop here when I'm visiting Mt Field National Park. They have a wide range of coffees, burgers, sandwiches, and other awesome meals. Their chips are sensational, and the Chai Latte is divine. It is such a convenient place to have lunch before exploring Mount Field National Park and definitely worth the 90-minute drive from Hobart. They also have a small gift shop attached to the restaurant with some Tasmanian related products and is also adjacent to the visitor centre where you can get information about the national park. I've never had a bad experience here and completely recommend a visit.

Sat my kids down at a table in a completely empty cafe for them to eat a few bites of muffin as they got car sick on the drive up. While looking at the menu, a lady came over to say no outside food allowed. That really grinds my gears, the speed at which she came up to us too. Hot chips were nice at least. And the girls who served us were friendly.

I ordered a Burrito Bowl which was 10/10! My husband had the brekky which he loved. Perfect fuel prior to our hiking trip for the day. Staff were friendly and prompt. Very spacious cafe. Enjoyed looking in the gift store afterwards.

The Burrito bowl is good .. Cappuccino is very good, the coffee beans used is robust. Do not order the vegetables curry. The curry just came with few pieces of carrots and celery. Not quite worth the price of $15.

Food is average. We spent almost 200 dollars here and asked to fill a cup of hot water, but the lady insisted we pay 2 dollars for it. Not impressed. 29/08 In response to owner comment: 1. The Cafe was not busy at all. Most of the tables were empty 2. We are group of 7 and ordered 7 main meals, 5 cold drinks and 2 coffee and spent over $200. We did take out some left over ham for the kids as well are flying home and don't want food wasted and we put it back when the lady told us no outside food. 3. When we ask for some hot water, there is no one queuing or waiting.

nice cafe if you’re looking for something simple or somewhere inside to hang out with a warm drink in between hikes. The coffee was pretty good. nothing amazing. they have a selection of baked goods, full menu, drinks etc. they usually have a vegan soup of the day and some dairy free or other veg options

Beautiful spot to have a coffee & a sweet. Serves lunch & breakfast also alcohol. We got our high from the three falls hike..not the alcohol! Coffee had a good flavour & was strong & rich. Pleasant service too.

Yelp
watery soup bit pricey, was finally served by a very rude lady in glasses brown hair and ponytail. over all I felt the cafe detracted from the amazing National Park instead of enhancing it. and the gallery is a gift shop don't be fooled
