We loved Waterfalls homestay. The hosts are so incredibly friendly and the service is just excellent. Waterfalls Homestay has four rooms and is small and comfortable with breath taking views. There's a main table where all the guests have breakfast together overlooking the beautiful Ella hills and waterfall. Breakfast is also excellent with homemade muffins, toast, eggs, fruit and buffolo curd (like Greek yoghurt).||The accommodation is a short walk away from the main centre or a five min Tuk Tuk ride. We also loved Ella town. Scenery is so beatiful. Ella and our stay at Waterfalls Homestay was one of the highlights of our trip. Our teenage kids also loved it.

Our stay at Waterfalls Homestay was absolutely magical! Perched on a hill with breathtaking views of Little Ravana waterfall and the jungle, this place is a true hidden gem. We stayed in one of the rooms with a 180-degree vista, and waking up to misty mountains and the sounds of nature was unforgettable.||The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The homemade dinners (a must-try!) were delicious, and sharing stories with other guests at the communal table added to the charm. Our room was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed—hot water, a comfy bed, and a balcony to soak in the views.||The location is perfect - just far enough from Ella’s hustle to feel peaceful but close enough to explore easily. We loved spotting monkeys and birds while sipping tea on the veranda. The on-site massage was the perfect way to unwind after hiking.||If you’re looking for an authentic, serene, and unforgettable stay in Ella, Waterfalls Homestay is it! We can’t wait to return.

The view, the hosts, the rooms, the food, the vibes …. Yes! Away from the hustle of Ella main drag .. Yes!|Where to start a review and how to stop raving about Waterfalls are the hard things. We had a wonderful 3 night stay. Our room (the Garden Room) was comfortable and modern, lovely bathroom, hot water, fridge, hair dryer and balcony. We looked over the valley to the waterfall. Lots of birds, monkeys and even mongoose to watch. |Our hosts were gorgeous. Couldn’t be more helpful, friendly and welcoming. |I particularly loved the communal table on the balcony for breakfast and dinner. When dinner is offered it really is a must do. Such a fab way to meet the other guests and the food is amazing. |We were able to park our tuk here and walk into Ella main area along the road or railway line. |Massage is offered on site and is a great way to end a day of walking and steps!|So glad we stayed here.

We stayed here for a total of three days. The hosts were very helpful and even helped to cook some homemade chicken noodle soup for my father who was unwell. They assisted to arrange transport and take out meals (due to the heavy rain). Their breakfast had eggs done three different ways, and delicious jam which led us to Amba Estate tour. We had a view of the waterfall directly from our room, and it was truly an amazing experience! I would love to come back again.

If I could, I’d give Waterfalls Homestay six stars! I don’t think the blond and I have ever stayed somewhere and felt so relaxed. Waking up to the sound of the waterfall each morning was one of the most joyful experiences of our lives. Add to that the amazing breakfast - the best we had in Sri Lanka - and our stay was just perfect.||Kiah, Lakshan and the rest of the team couldn’t do enough for us and made our stay in Ella exceptional. They were so friendly and welcomed us into our home; we truly felt like a part of the family and were so sad to have to leave!||Ella is a great town, but we found the Main Road very busy. Waterfalls was the perfect place to stay, as it’s only a short tuk-tuk ride from the centre of town, but is peaceful and in a stunning setting opposite the waterfall after which it’s named.||Oh, and make sure you get an Ayurvedic massage from Chandy, the onsite masseuse!
