Waterford Castle Hotel & Golf Resort

Beautiful castle on a private island. Access to the island is very chain ferry which run consistently. The island is home to some different wildlife, we spotted an albino walabee! The lodges were clean and tidy and spacious. The staff friendly and attentive. Lovely venue

We stated the Waterford Castle for one night, with my three year-old son. Which was a little scary, but it was absolutely lovely, they were very accommodating of him. We did the picnic for two and it was the most insane amount of food! And it was very yummy and delicious, but I don’t see how Two people could possibly eat that much food. So you could maybe have a so many selection? It was just like a crazy amount of food. We had dinner at the restaurant and that was great and they were again very accommodating of my son and understanding. All in all we had a really lovely visit, the room was very cute. And we did the short walk it was lovely. I know we were very happy with our day and it was definitely a worthwhile break to relax from the rest of our road trip around ireland.

I received a voucher for afternoon tea at Waterford castle. It was really delicious, excellent service, great choice of teas and the best scones I've ever tasted. Great treat. The castle itself is very well kept and the history is interesting. I thought there were more gardens to view for day trip visit albeit a nature walk. But the grounds are well managed and for golfers it looks like a good resort. Ferry back and forth to island is easy.

Everyone deserves a night in a castle, right? From the moment our car left the ferry & we stepped onto the resort "island", we loved Waterford Castle! The setting, trails, birds, flowers, trees- it was just like a Disney movie. (My husband said he wished we would've stayed here the whole time we were in Ireland.) After a hectic day of flying into Dublin then driving to Waterford, the entire experience was a respite. Gorgeous furnishings throughout. Great customer service. Huge, well-appointed room. We did take-out from the golf clubhouse & ate dinner in our room. Walked along the river on the trails. Quiet evening and we were fast asleep in the comfy KING bed. Just when we think it couldn't get better- THE BREAKFAST ROOM. Simply stunning! The most beautiful breakfast setting we've ever seen. Buffet of pastries, cereals, juices, coffees & fruit along with a cooked to order menu- and all of that was included in our stay. It was magnificent. Can't say enough about this place.

Excellent stay at Waterford Castle! Stayed for 3-nights in late May and the weather was fantastic, although since it was warmer than usual the first-floor rooms were a bit warm and had to use fans. Nevertheless, beautiful property with very good service (especially the breakfast). Also, played a round of golf on a very nice, scenic course. Very enjoyable stay with wildlife (deer and wallaby!) Highly recommend this property......although a popular busy wedding destination.

My husband and I had our wedding reception here last weekend and it was an unbelievable experience from start to finish. The venue is so beautiful, inside and out. We were able to take stunning couple's photos on the grounds and the dining room and reception area were perfect for our celebrations. The bedrooms are luxurious and unique, all the guests who stayed were so impressed! The staff are beyond helpful and Antonio really went above and beyond to keep the whole day running smoothly. Our wedding coordinator, Gillian, was incredibly helpful and professional throughout the entire wedding planning process. Nothing was ever an issue for her and she made us feel very safe and confident that our day would be a success. I really can't thank everyone at Waterford Castle enough for creating the most memorable day for us both and our friends and family.

This was the most fantastic, amazing experience ever. My brother got married here and it was the most incredible wedding I have ever been to. My jaw dropped when we pulled up. The staff was so nice and friendly. The most amazing staff member was Cal (Calogero Di Fina Lupe), bar manager. He made the night even more special. I found myself gravitating to toward he bar not only for more drinks but to simply talk and hangout with him. He went out of his way to make sure we all had a great time. At one point I ordered a drink and was going to come back to get it after the Irish dancers, and he came and found me amongst all the guests to give it to me. He also makes a fantastic espresso martini!! Best I have had all trip. I searched until I could find him on social media- as he quickly became more like a friend than a bar manager. Missing him and this fantastic experience more than ever. 🩵

We were fortunate enough to have our wedding at Waterford Castle. To say our expectations were surpassed would be a massive understatement! From our first viewing, it was clear that Waterford Castle is a place where attention to detail and excellent customer service are paramount. Gillian simply is peerless in her role. Her recommendation of suppliers brought us in contact with the most professional, talented vendors. Gillian was always available to us for any questions we had. She definitely guided us to make sure that we were on the right track! On the day, she was so kind and attentive. She liaised with all our vendors which made our day as relaxing as could be. When we arrived to Waterford Castle for our wedding, ourselves and our guests were so well looked after. Each member of staff was friendly, engaging and professional. Our guests raved about the food, the activities and the unique surroundings. Antonio in the dining room and Cal behind the bar could not have done enough for us. Antonio even brought my husband a second steak at dinner! The castle rooms and lodges are spacious and very well maintained. We had our day two in the golf club which is a lovely space. Stephen could not have done more for us, even bringing a speaker outside for when our music finished up. We could not be more delighted that we booked our wedding at Waterford Castle and are so grateful to each member of staff who made our day so special!

Come for breakfast and try the local Irish breakfast. A beautiful place to sit and look at this gorgeous golf course.

The castle experience on the little island at Waterford is a real find! What a gorgeous property. From the moment you take the ferry over to the island which takes just minutes, you drive off to a lovely tree lined road to enter the castle courtyard. This is pure magic. A family of deer wander the lawn and the back meadows. There are trails and alcoves and wonders around every corner. For less than we spent at a chain hotel, we experienced luxury here! An affordable and lovely place to stay and immerse yourself in the magic. Excellent hospitality all around. The executive suite is like a well appointed apartment. So many thoughtful details here. it's really breathtaking to walk the property.

My husband and I found this course on the internet. We were planning a cruise and wished to play golf in Ireland. Val replied to our email within an hour and had us booked for a tee time. Val handled all of our transportation needs and we were in touch with a local driver, Brian, who arrived in a timely manner to escort us from the ship to the course. We were treated to tidbits of information along our drive about the locations we traveled thru. The course itself is absolutely beautiful, abounding in natural scenery and wildlife which gives one a feeling of playing in a very natural setting. It's a parkland course, narrow and fairly long fairways. The holes are challenging.....but not frustrating. Quality rental clubs are available if needed. The staff at Waterford is professional and welcoming. You can get a cart if you make a reservation for one. We felt wonderfully welcomed and enjoyed some fish and chips and had a pint after our round.
