I had a reservation for both a wine tasting and lunch at Waterford Estate, but unfortunately, this turned out to be my worst experience in the region.
Upon arrival, the staff initially claimed they had no record of our reservation. After some delay, they managed to find it and confirmed it included both the tasting and lunch. However, things continued to go downhill.
We waited over 40 minutes just to be served a small piece of warm bread. When we tried to order our main courses, we were informed that the kitchen had already closed—more than 40 minutes earlier. No one had informed us, no one offered alternatives, and no one took proper responsibility.
In total, we spent more than two hours at the estate, with no adequate explanation and no meal served. In the end, we received a basic apology and were simply told that the kitchen was closed.
For a place with such a prestigious reputation, this lack of communication and poor customer service was deeply disappointing. I sincerely hope they take this kind of feedback seriously and improve their coordination and hospitality.
