I arrived in Petersburg, Alaska late Sunday afternoon. The owner Sam had left my room key and instructions on the kitcgen table. I found my room ( #1) nice and clean. One window faced the river and ferry dock, with a great view of the mountains on the other side. Only one restaurant was open on Sunday afternoon/evening so I walked a few minutes across the street to Joan Mei. They serve Chinese and American dishes. The food was excellent. ( The only other alternates were pizza delivery and a grocery store with a deli..... Both of which would of been fine.)||After dinner I returned to Waterfront B & B and met Sam. She was very pleasant and friendly. She gave me a brief history of Petersburg and how she ended up there. I cane to appreciate how important the ferry system is to the community...it is there highway connection. Sam mentioned how she flies to Seattle twice a year to purchase supplies and has them delivered to Petersburg by barge.||After our chat I watched Sunday Night Football in the common living room. I was the only customer that night. ||The room was Very comfortable and it had nice electric baseboard heat.||Monday morning Sam had a delicious breakfast waiting for me at 8 am.||If I return I will be sure to stay at Waterfront Bed and Breakfast.

This little gem is the second house left of the ferry. We were in room 5 just off the kitchen so could purchase fish from Tonka Seafood (right from the ferry) and make our own dinner. The kitchen and room were clean and well appointed; actually the nicest during our stay in Alaska! We slept great; the bed was very comfortable too! An excellent value at $110/night including tax with breakfast included. Aftter long days adventuring, the hot tub was great. The b&b is right on the water with a lovely deck and gazebo (with the very nice hot tub). Sammy served an excellent breakfast as well which sustained us all day. I loved the quality and cleanliness. oh, great, free WiFi. Great views from the sitting room too which we used when it rained. We highly recommend this b&b and would definitely ||return.

Sammy is a wonderful hostess and the rooms and public areas are spotless. I appreciated the ride from the airport (it's helpful if you let her know how/when you're arriving when you make your reservation). The location is convenient to the ferry (right next door) and the walking/bike path. It's just over a half mile from town so walking is easy. I'll be back next time I'm in Petersburg.

We stayed for three nights--the rooms are basic but clean. There is a good cooking area. Breakfasts are excellence. The Waterfront is right next to the ferry terminal, which was perfect for our late departure. The owner, Sammy was helpful with storing our bags and allowing us to use commons facilities on the day of the departure. The BnB is a mile into town--a level and scenic route. We'd stay here again

We stayed one night at the Waterfront before a cruise. The owner met our flight and took us to the boat the next day. All rooms are on the first floor. Our room was clean, quiet, comfortable, small. There was a double bed, no chair, no dresser (wire structure for hanging clothes and storing items), no desk (too small for those), no TV, no phone, no fridge. There is a modest sized "living room" for guests with a couch, chairs, TV. The property is right on the water and has a very nice open patio overlooking the water. The ferry dock (for the "Blue Canoe") is immediately in front of this property; if you came on that, you could walk to the B&B. Breakfast was good. There are few places serving supper in Petersburg; there is Chinese/American restaurant almost across from the road, said to be "mediocre". There are a number of choices for lunch "downtown", which is about 4 blocks long, a 0.75 walk on a sidewalk, and perhaps two there open in the evening. The B&B rents bikes, and a map shows a substantial network of bike paths on the island.

We spent three enjoyable nights at this B and B. The owner, Sammy, is a wonderful hostess and she prepared tasty and nutritious breakfasts for us every morning at 8:00. Although it is a long walk into town from here, it is very convenient to the ferry dock, the seaplane docks and the only Chinese restaurant in town! Sammy also provides pick up and drop off service to the Petersburg Airport..

This quaint little b&b was just what we needed after a long day of travel to Petersburg. Leroy picked us up at the airport and showed us to our room, making extra sure our accommodations were comfortable. He went out of his way to make us feel welcome. They have a great view from their huge porch, bikes for rent, and a saltwater hot tub, too! Their common areas are comfortable and Sammy made a breakfast to die for. I will be staying with this great couple every time I need a reasonably priced overnight in Petersburg. It can't be beat.

My buddy and I had a terrific time staying here for a couple of nights. |The proprietors are very friendly and nice and took good care of us and great breakfast in the morning. The key was the harbor views from their large patio and the hot tub has a beautiful view of the mountains and the waterfront as well.|I strongly recommend staying here when in Petersburg.

Yelp
I cried a little when i heard they closed for business! It was my home away from home in Alaska. I will miss them every year. All our Love to Sammy

Yelp
Bed was comfortable, common TV area has a nice view. Breakfast was fair, deck overlooking harbor was very nice. Kitchen was great for cooking for yourself. Shuttle provided.
