The Waterfront Hotel is a beautiful hotel situated in a wonderful location in Dungloe. We stayed in the O’Leary Suite and the room was fabulous. There is everything you need and the lovely housekeeping staff can assist you should you require additional supplies. The view from the room was also lovely. Staff at the Waterfront go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and everyone is very welcoming. The hotel food is delicious. At breakfast there was a wide range of hot and cold foods to choose from but the full Irish breakfast was delicious! Special thanks to Colin the chef for being so kind and welcoming, it was very much appreciated. The restaurant in the evening serves beautiful food too with daily specials. The fresh fish is outstanding and so tasty. I highly recommend giving the Waterfront a visit, whether for lunch/dinner or a relaxing stay. It is within walking distance to a variety of shops and amenities. I would also like to say a special thank you to Mairead on reception as she made our stay that much more enjoyable with our daily chats, and her always making sure that we had everything we needed. Nothing was too much trouble. She is an asset to the team. |I hope to return to the Waterfront again soon. Thank you very much for everything.

Stayed here recently with my husband we come down four or five times a year. We had a fantastic stay as always. The room was spotless and very quiet. We dined in the bar on the Friday evening and the food was excellent one of us had the special mixed grill with meat and the other had the mixed grill with fish both were fantastic thanks to the chef. The malteser cheesecake was also very tasty. The breakfast next morning was really good with the porridge always being top notch. We were served by Christopher who is a great asset to the business always so pleasant and attentive. Thanks to everyone looking forward to our next stay.

Rooms very comfortable. Food was nice and chef at breakfast was very nice. On arrival we were waiting 5 minutes for the receptionist to acknowledge our presence as she was on a call. Another receptionist simply told us she wasn't checking people in, then got up and left. It wasn't a great first impression tbh and something the hotel should keep an eye on. Otherwise though, a positive experience.

We booked the hotel for an Easter break and we were not disappointed. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room, although basic, had all we needed and was very comfortable. The food was the outstanding. We had dinner and breakfast, and would recommend both. We’re already planning on return visit in the summer .

Lovely food friendly efficient staff. Views are fabulous. Had a family dinner everyone was lovely and an added lovely touch was a plate with sweets and happy anniversary on it. Sunday lunch was great value. All public areas are tastefully decorated and clean

Great food, lovely room, powerful shower, modern gym, but best of all... the service was stellar. The team was so friendly and so accommodating.

We had a family meal in the bar. Overall the quality of food was mixed. Where the white wine sauce featured in a dish, it was quite runny and very oily. Chicken escalope dish was rated highly by members of our group. Chicken wings were ordered by 2 of us and were rated as just ok. And the steak sandwich came without its ciabatta bread. We got one jug of water initially for a table of 9. We have had better experiences here before but I think it will be a while before we will be back.
