This was a deeply disappointing stay.
The most serious issue was ventilation and hygiene.
The room had no proper ventilation, and the window could not be opened. The air felt constantly stale and suffocating, and there was visible mold inside the room, which clearly showed how poorly ventilated and maintained the space was.
The mattress was extremely hard, making it difficult to rest properly.
However, the bathroom was by far the worst part of the stay.
• The bathroom was very dirty, with mold in many areas
• There was a persistent damp, unpleasant odor
• Worst of all, there was a strong cigarette smell coming from the bathroom
As a non-smoker, this was especially unbearable.
When I took a shower, the warm steam intensified the bathroom odor and cigarette smell, and the smell spread throughout the entire room, including the bed area.
I contacted the front desk to explain the situation and requested a room change.
I was told there were no other rooms available and was simply advised to “close the bathroom door.”
However, the bathroom door had been kept closed the entire time. The real problem was not usage, but a structural design flaw: the door does not seal properly, with wide gaps at the top, bottom, and sides. As a result, smells and humidity leaked directly into the room even with the door closed.
This was clearly a structural issue, not something that could be fixed by guest behavior, and there was no effective solution offered. With no room change available, I had no choice but to give up.
The smell became so overwhelming that I could not stay in the room.
I went outside in the middle of the night and sat by the riverside, genuinely thinking, “Why am I suffering like this after paying for a hotel?”
Eventually, I could only sleep briefly by keeping the room door open to the hallway for ventilation.
Additionally, it was very inconvenient that turning off the TV also caused the Wi-Fi to shut off.
To be fair, the ground-floor lobby and common areas are clean and well maintained, and the staff were bright, welcoming, polite, and friendly. The luggage storage service was also convenient.
Unfortunately, that is where the positives end. The contrast between the public spaces and the actual guest room was striking.
If you are even slightly sensitive to odors, cleanliness, or ventilation,
I strongly do not recommend this hotel.
