Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao

Horrible Hotel! OverPrice! Dont check in here. very very expensive hotel but the rooms is so old. We are group of 3 person. Aircon is not functioning needs repair. temperature inside the room is HOT! Shower head is old and is CLOGGED. Toilet bowl is old. The CR is old needs renovation. i think the Room itself needs renovation so that the price of a room will coincide with the amenities they can offer!! This place is my opinion a SCAM. Because with the price of their one room the services they provide and the amenities of the room is not worth the price I could have gone to GO Hotel more cheaper more beautiful. I suggest to management that if you cannot maintain your room very well you better lower your price or you better stop posting pictures online that are not true. The picture of the room is beautiful online BUT in actual the floors are too old it looks like i am in a cheap Motel / Lodge. i did not feel any comfort .I did not have a good nights sleep coz the room is so hot. If only I could request for a refund of my payment an hour before I arrived at the room. This place is HELL. Maybe they think I just came and live in the mountains and cannot and do not have idea what is a good hotel? Vacation Gone Wrong!!!!!! If you cannot give good rooms to your guest with the expensive price you give to your room you better CLOSE your hotel waterfront insular. I dont have any problem if they priced their room expensive IF the room deserves it .but im this hotel the room we stayed and I think all of their rooms looks old and they price it at 6,700. My God! Horrible. GO hotel , Hop In is far more better with a low price| i check in here hoping that this is a beautiful hotel based on your post online but I was so wrong, so disappointed. You better close your hotel .😡😡

I recently stayed at Waterfront Hotel and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The room was good—clean, comfortable, and relaxing. The food was also delicious, definitely one of the highlights of my stay. However, there’s one thing that really stood out: the service from the waiters and waitresses needs improvement. When you ask for something, ang tagal ng balik. They keep saying “yes ma’am/sir,” pero walang follow-through. It takes multiple reminders before anything gets done, which can be frustrating especially when you're expecting hotel-level service. If they can improve the responsiveness and attentiveness of their dining staff, it would make the overall experience so much better. Still, it’s a nice place to stay—just hoping they work on the service side.

Aside from its location, this hotel is straight trash. The rooms are ancient, the bathroom is falling apart, the breakfast isn't fit for cockroaches. However, our biggest issue is this: THREE times I asked the front desk if someone would be available to assist us with our luggage upon departure as they placed us on the highest floor (no lift) despite having quite a bit of luggage and an infant in tow. Three times we were assured that someone would be available to assist us in bringing down the luggage to meet our hotel-booked transfer to the airport. Sure enough, you guessed it, I call the front desk when it's time to meet the transfer and... "sorry sir, we don't have anyone available to help you right now." So this dump of a hotel has no problem charging us 4x the going rate for a transfer to the airport (which is fine), but can't honor their word to provide a bit of assistance in bringing down bags from the top floor. Ridiculous. Never again. Stay elsewhere like Dusit Thani. A few bucks more, but worth it.

Wow I am thoroughly impressed with this place as it has exceeded my expectations. The fact that I can freely stroll amidst nature and feel secure, even at night, is commendable. The presence of several security guards ensures the safety of the guests. Although we have stayed at other locations like Park In and Grand, this accommodation stands out, particularly for those who love to explore nature and admire beach views. They even upgraded us free after staying over 8 days total 2 weeks. The staff are very attentive and always fulfill our requests, especially when it comes to meal adjustments, unlike other places we have stayed at. They are always quick to find solutions for any concerns raised by customers. While the rooms may be a bit old, around 60 years to be precise, the standard rooms such as deluxe rooms are quite spacious and lovely, not much different from other accommodations. The only area that requires improvement would be some of the standard rooms due to their age, but overall our experience has been amazing and we were not disappointed at all Also I would like to kindly ask both staff and guests to take care of the stray cats that roam around the property by giving them any leftovers. I have been informed by staff that some guests choose to ignore or not pay attention to these cats when they come for food. Even if you aren't a fan of cats, please do not harm them - after all, who gives us the right? Remember, sharing is caring and we shouldn't only think about ourselves. If we don't feed them, who will? Please consider sharing your food or asking staff for leftovers. It is important to take care of these animals as they rely on us for sustenance. I kindly urge everyone once again to share their food with these cats, especially when they come near the dining area. Overall, I am grateful for this amazing place and will definitely choose it as our go-to accommodation whenever we visit the Philippines in the future. We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao, and it truly felt like paradise! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The serene seaside view, the lush gardens, and the timeless charm of the place made our stay extra special. Our room was cozy and comfortable, offering the perfect view of the ocean—just what we needed for a peaceful escape. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home, and every meal we had was delicious, especially the breakfast buffet with a beautiful morning breeze. We loved walking by the shore at sunset—it was the perfect way to reflect and be grateful for another year together. 💛 Thank you, Waterfront Insular Hotel, for making our anniversary memorable and heartwarming. We can’t wait to come back!

Location is good as it is near the airport and the city. Breakfast buffet is superb! Pools are big and clean. Staffs are helpful. Good and fast internet connection. My only prob is that TV is useless. No cable, not installed with netflix or internet. So no entertainment if you’re in room. But overall, its a really nice hotel and affordable.

The staff were extremely friendly the entire time. This ocean front resort has it all. Incredible food, fantastic outdoor environment, clean sand beach, very clean rooms. We stayed here 2 separate times this trip. Would I come back? Yes yes yes!

We were there for a convention. The hotel is old and rooms were outdated. Buffet breakfast is good and the service is great. All the staffs were friendly and approachable. We were there during the earthquake. Thank God we are in Davao because the emergency response is so quick. There were firetrucks and ambulance everywehere as soon as we get out of SM Lanang. The infrastructures were strong. There were no visible damage around the city.

Pros: Spacious room. Relaxing atmosphere, grounds. Excellent shampoo! Excellent desserts at Café Uno!!! Oh, the carrot cake. OMG! Buffet was very good. Friendly, customer service oriented housekeeper. Cons: Poor a/c (constant 80 degrees) in Building 3. I'll return after modern a/c is available. Requested King, got twin beds. Choice should be specific: KING or 2 twins My wariness was well founded, as it turned out. We enjoyed our May 2019 stay very much! Booked another stay for March 2020. Can't wait!

Went here with my wife for a short time out from the hectic schedule and from work. The place is neat, spacious and staff is nice. The food selection though is pretty limited and are not that tasty. Many of the options are also unavailable. As for the room, I could hear sounds from the adjacent room. The air conditioning unit seems very dated too. Our time here was short but it started at the wrong foot when the staff directed us to the wrong building so we have to walk another 10 minutes to get to the right building. Will come back only for events and seminar.

Events seem promising, but as a guest here this was an nightmare. Everything from checking, checking out, the jacuzi, the doors to room, the leaks, the ac, it was almost never ending. One last thing, don't take the shuttles to and from airport, they charge way too much and a cab is so much more faster and cheaper. They like to hit you with fees as you check out and its hidden as when you are picked up they dont tell you this even if you went through an agency which told me it was free of charge. The hotel workers (towels, housekeeping, delivery of ice where all super friendly). There is a lady at the front desk whom is SUPER rude. Likes to slam things down if she doesn't agree with you. Ants are always a welcoming sign in your room also.

A Comfortable Night Spent in Davao's Waterfront Insular In my first-time stay in Davao's Waterfront Insular last Oct. 26 to Oct. 27, I was greeted with a nice large environment that contained almost everything I could ever want in an accommodation. An open area, a nice deep pool, several places to eat within the establishment, a large area that can be used for events... these are just some, if not all, of the amenities that I was looking for! I was glad. The hotel revolved around grassroots products and environment. Touring around the establishment, I noticed that the rooms are kept clean consistently. They were comfortable to sleep in. Additionally, the air conditioners were well-maintained and cold enough. Waterfront Insular offers plenty of places to dine in with plenty of food to choose from whenever you're hungry. Meal types include breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack. You can also even dine during late nights. The price of amenities in the establishment ranges from under $10 to above $61. A side comment though is that the waterfront appeared a bit dirty. It might be a good idea for the management to have it maintained clean and dirt-free. It sure adds to the image and appeal of the establishment. Nevertheless, the establishment itself is very comfortable and relaxing so I'd probably be visiting there again anytime soon.

Air conditioning was not working, the room was 80 degrees during the day every day. Very disappointing. The jacuzzi was not working either. The breakfast food also somewhat of a disappointment, the Quality of food changes from day to day. The breakfast room was a nice a atmosphere tho when the music was on, it wasn't the second day. Overall the hotel is older and needs much improvement.

If only you can give this place no stars!!! Over all problem is with bugs and they are hesitant to give us another room because two of their rooms are infested with bed bugs!!!! Do not go here at all you will just walk away disappointed with bug bites all over your body! We tried to be generous enough to wait for them to accommodate to our problems by telling them to change our mattresses not just our sheets but they kept insisting on changing just the sheets then when the lady said were going to be transferred to another room we sat in on room waiting for hours just to figure out that they made no such accommodation on moving us and even insisted we sleep in the same room with bed bugs!! ABSOLUTELY THE WORST HOTEL EVER AND DOES NOT DESERVE TO BE OPEN!
