Waterloo Hotel & Lodge

Booked a 2 night stay here with breakfast each morning and access to the gym and pool for a little under £200 . The room was very nice with a good bed and bath/shower. Very clean good staff and the bar was well stocked. Unfortunately the breakfast was not great ! We also had the evening meal on our last night and my girlfriend thought it was spot on with her chicken and mushroom pie I got the pizza with a portion of chips and thought the pizza was bland especially at £16 ! Would definitely go again though .

Very pleasantly surprised with this hotel bearing in mind it said it was only a 3 star hotel! I think it definitely deserves a 4 star. It was clean and rooms were nice. Bar very pleasant and breakfast very good. Pool area well kept and sauna and steam room all in working order and available which is more than I can say for my local gym most weeks! A very pleasant stay and would return!

We have stayed at their lodges numerous times now and each time found everything to be great. Room always clean to a great standard and warm on arrival. The staff are very welcoming and eager to please. On our last stay they went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. The location is just right for us. We would highly recommend the Waterloo

Only popped in for a butty and a coffee. Staff very friendly and place was very clean. Coffee and butty were great so all in all, result. While there I used the car charger, they have 3 7kW ones. All good.

We had a lovely stay at the Waterloo hotel. The location was excellent as was the service. The reason why we’ve given it 3 stars (would be 3.5 if I had the choice, but giving it 4 stars would be too much) was because of the bathroom. It was in desperate need of a renovation. Gaps everywhere within the grout and old tiles (potential breeding ground for germs), the bathroom door had rotted away at the bottom, a terrible shower, and poor ventilation. I believe the ‘lodges’ have brand new bathrooms, but we stayed in the actual hotel itself, so not sure why these haven’t been updated. The room itself was lovely and freshly decorated, but the bathroom really let the place down.

Wonderful stay at the Waterloo Hotel! The room was lovely and modern, well renovated! The mattress was perfect and we had a great quiet nights sleep! Location was great for one night we explored the parade of shops and cafes 10 minute walk away. Breakfast was lovely as well! Vegan cooked breakfast made on request and was great! Would absolutely come back here if we’re in the area again!

My husband and I have been to the Waterloo a fair few times over the past few years. We love it as a base for activities in Snowdonia. That's why I organised a surprise birthday weekend for my husband there and I cannot thank the hotel staff enough. Reception staff (Lowri in particular) handled months of emails back and forth helping me arrange rooms, dinner times, pre orders and payments in advance. And when the family was waiting in the foyer to surprise my husband the staff were all extremely accommodating. The dogs all got lots of attention, the service was brilliant even for nearly 20 of us for dinner AND breakfast together the next day, and the food was delicious and very filling! Everyone said how wonderful the staff were - and there are some hard to please people in that group! There were comments on the comfort of the beds and the facilities overall too. So in our opinion if you want a clean, comfortable hotel with great staff in a beautiful location then this is the place. And thank you again to all the staff.

Just back from 2 nights at the Hotel. We stayed in a superior lodge, and took our dog with us. The facilities were great. We used the Leisure Centre, which was very quiet in the afternoon. The staff were lovely and friendly and breakfast was very good and we were able to eat it in the dog friendly area of the bar. I have rated it a 4 as the outside of the lodges are looking a bit tired and in need of a paint. Would we stay here again ? Yes definitely
