I loved our 2 night stay at the Waterloo townhouse. The rooms are not huge, but it had everything we needed: comfortable bed, very nice bathroom and shower. There’s a great coffee machine and I saw an electric tea pot too. I loved that I was on the 4th floor and I could open up my window and let the sunshine and a cool breeze in. There’s is no AC…we’re staying at several B&Bs and small hotels throughout Ireland and there is no AC anywhere, and I sleep hot, but I didn’t need AC. There’s a tv to catch up on the news.It was nice and clean and well taken care of. The manager/owner is on the premises and ready to accommodate any need that you may have…and we had a few! There’s free parking if you have a car. We rented a car on the second day we were there. So free parking on the premises was appreciated. The only con might be for those want to spend time in the bustling downtown district, the temple area, it’s a good 30 minute walk, but we enjoyed the walks. A couple of times we needed to get a taxi, and that was easy to do. I found this hotel via Rick Steve’s Ireland travel book. Great find!

We just stayed for the one night in Waterloo Townhouse and Suites and it was a great place to stay. We were in Dublin to celebrate a special friend’s birthday and everything was perfect. The accommodation was immaculate in a beautiful leafy road close to bars, great restaurants and local transport. We were on the 4th floor, served by a lift and at the back of the property which was very quiet and had a lovely view. The room contained everything we needed and a nice bathroom with walk in shower and Paul Costello toiletries. Beds were super comfy.|Booking was easy and reception was friendly and informative.|The room rate does not include breakfast but coffee and tea are available in the reception area with nice seating or can be made in your room. No shortage of restaurants and cafes within a few minutes walk serving breakfasts.|I would have no hesitation in recommending Waterloo Townhouse and it won’t be long until I return.

Really enjoyed our stay room had everything we needed & was spotless. The large fan was a nice addition. The property is beautiful and so convenient with its proximity to the city centre but yet the street was quiet. Great to have parking spaces. Staff were friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back again.

An absolute GEM in Dublin! My husband and I stayed in a ‘Queen Room’ for 4 nights in May (of 2025). We booked our trip a bit last minute so it didn’t seem like there were very many decent options left but Waterloo Townhouse came up - it seemed too good to be true but we booked anyways and glad we did. The room was smaller but we expected that. Stylistically, it was BEAUTIFUL - they really worked to highlight the Georgian era of the building. Whatever renovations they did also seem like they were well thought out (ie the mirror ledge in the bathroom for all your toiletries). We also appreciated the lovely touches like the china teacups/saucers in the rooms coffee/tea station. We were quite self-sufficient so we didn’t have many dealings with the staff but whenever we did, they were kind and eager to help. For example: I got some takeaway and didn’t have a fork; the front counter person got me a full set of utensils within a couple minutes. Location is great too, it might be out of the way for some people but we don’t like to stay in the busiest part of the city. A lot of the top tourist spots are about a 15-30 minute walk away. The neighbourhood was safe and has a lot of beautiful character. There are also several bus stops nearby and a busier street 2 minutes away with restaurant and convenience store options. The only con people might find is the noise. It is an older building - the corridors are small and the rooms are quite close to each other so you can really hear other peoples doors slamming or catching if they’re not quiet. It didn’t bother us too much though. I would definitely stay again if we were back in Dublin!

Our room was well appointed with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The decor was lovely and felt fresh and updated. The friendly staff was excellent to make our stay a positive experience. This property is a good location for access to city centre while in a quiet neighborhood. I highly recommend Waterloo Townhouses and Suites for you stay in Dublin!

We stayed here Saturday night 12/7/2025 - the price was very competitive, free parking and the room was really beautiful. 3 complimentary water bottles in the fridge is a lovely touch. Greeted and checked in by a lovely man, our room on the 4th floor was called a Queen room but had a large very comfortable double bed and a single bed with views over the garden. bathroom was modern and spotless. Located literally 3 mins walk to Baggott Street. I would highly recommend here and we will definitely stay again !

I am very impressed by this 'hotel'- very efficient and friendly receptionist. The building is beautifully maintained with very high quality furniture. Extras such as the espresso machine is very welcome. The bathroom has a very high end quality too.|Highly recommended.

Stunning, helpful staff, very comfortable. We had the Lady Evelyn suite, all I can say is it was extremely classy.Location was great, a very nice part of Dublin. Felt extremely safe, local shops and pubs were within easy walking distance. Dublin centre was a very short and inexpensive taxi ride away.My fiancée and myself were extremely happy with our stay.
