We enjoyed our first three days here so much that we booked again for the following Monday. Very well equipped and spotlessly clean rooms. Extremely comfortable and quiet. Great coffee maker. Friendly staff. Excellent choice of restaurants within one hundred metres. Just a half hour walk to the city centre.

From the moment we arrived until the end of our trip we received the most friendly and accommodating treatment from the Waterloo staff. Both check in and check out were a breeze. The housekeeping staff were amazing! Location is great too. Short walk to Starbucks, Tesco and Searson’s Pub! Also- close enough to get to all Dublin has to offer by taxi but far enough away that you aren’t in the middle of everything if you like a slower pace. Would highly recommend the Waterloo and would stay again next time in Dublin.

We had a lovely stay. The place is clean, cozy, and the service was very accommodating (some at the front desk stayed until after midnight waiting for someone from our group who arrived late). We'll definitely repeat once we come back to Dublin.|Nice walk and perfect distance to the city center (we didn't use any public transportation, we only walked).

This hotel is conveniently located near St. Stephen's Square and other sights, restaurants and pubs. Spaces are so well-organized that the small rooms, along with a big window made it quite comfortable and well worth the price. Quality towels, cosmetics and other supplies also added to the feel of more luxury. Good value for money but be prepared for small rooms or request a larger room. They seem to have some other room types, which we did not consider.

I recently stayed in the Lady Evelyn Suite and was very impressed by how beautifully it has been refurbished. The space feels luxurious yet homely, combining original period details with elegant, modern finishes. The suite is bright, airy, and tastefully designed. The kind of place you instantly feel comfortable in.||The bathroom is small, but perfectly formed and finished to a high standard. The room itself is spotlessly clean, the bed exceptionally comfortable, and the overall atmosphere calm and refined.||The fireplace, though decorative only, is a stunning focal point. It’s a shame it isn’t operational, as it would make the suite even more special. The floors do creak a little, and the shutters let in some morning light, but these are very minor points in what was otherwise a wonderful stay.||A special mention to Ranga Premarathne, who was a genuinely gracious and professional host, personable, helpful, and clearly passionate about ensuring guests have an excellent experience.||All in all, a graceful and character-filled stay that blends Dublin heritage with boutique comfort. Highly recommended.

Stunning, helpful staff, very comfortable. We had the Lady Evelyn suite, all I can say is it was extremely classy.Location was great, a very nice part of Dublin. Felt extremely safe, local shops and pubs were within easy walking distance. Dublin centre was a very short and inexpensive taxi ride away.My fiancée and myself were extremely happy with our stay.

We’ve stayed here several times in the past and loved it. This time our room was VERY cramped and a bit dark. We asked to move to a larger room, but they said they were full. Shower pressure was weak. Previously they had a lovely breakfast but they don’t do that anymore. I’ve recommended Waterloo House to many friends in the past but I’ll think twice now.

An absolute GEM in Dublin! My husband and I stayed in a ‘Queen Room’ for 4 nights in May (of 2025). We booked our trip a bit last minute so it didn’t seem like there were very many decent options left but Waterloo Townhouse came up - it seemed too good to be true but we booked anyways and glad we did. The room was smaller but we expected that. Stylistically, it was BEAUTIFUL - they really worked to highlight the Georgian era of the building. Whatever renovations they did also seem like they were well thought out (ie the mirror ledge in the bathroom for all your toiletries). We also appreciated the lovely touches like the china teacups/saucers in the rooms coffee/tea station. We were quite self-sufficient so we didn’t have many dealings with the staff but whenever we did, they were kind and eager to help. For example: I got some takeaway and didn’t have a fork; the front counter person got me a full set of utensils within a couple minutes. Location is great too, it might be out of the way for some people but we don’t like to stay in the busiest part of the city. A lot of the top tourist spots are about a 15-30 minute walk away. The neighbourhood was safe and has a lot of beautiful character. There are also several bus stops nearby and a busier street 2 minutes away with restaurant and convenience store options. The only con people might find is the noise. It is an older building - the corridors are small and the rooms are quite close to each other so you can really hear other peoples doors slamming or catching if they’re not quiet. It didn’t bother us too much though. I would definitely stay again if we were back in Dublin!
