"Sir Sydney Waterlow gave this park to the public in 1889 as ‘a garden for the gardenless’ which is how we like to use it. Skirting Highgate Cemetery, Waterlow park is much quieter than the Heath, although there are fantastic views over London up where Sydney’s statue is placed, along with beautiful grounds which have a somewhat Edward Gorey feel about them. There are also tennis courts, a kitchen garden, playgrounds and a cafe and in the summer the park occasionally opens its grounds in the evening for children’s plays." - Chrissie Macdonald & Andrew Rae

Genuinely breathtaking park situated in the heart of North London. I went on a beautiful spring morning whilst going to the Highgate Cemetery, and I just let myself soak in the beauty - the sights and the sounds. The willow trees planted there are particularly picturesque, and the middle and lower ponds are extremely pleasant.

I love this place very peaceful & relaxing & beautiful. Pathways tarmac but grass areas muddy except in spring/summer like all parks unfortunately, your shoes will get muddy if you go off the paths. Toilets in Lauderdale House & also in another building, get to (£10 entry) Highgate Cemetery through here.

Wonderful park, to relax have fun and feed the ducks and other aquatic fowls. There are dedicated sites for barbeques. Other facilities include a better than average cafe serving great food. Well equipped play area for youngsters. The restrooms are clean and well maintained. The park is dog friendly and well respected by dog walkers

I love this Park so much! Absolutely gorgeous, lots of places to seat, so many lovely dogs everywhere and just a very happy place, the best energy, it brightens your day to have a stroll here. ❤❤

One of my favourite parks in North London, nice ponds, nature areas and gardens to enjoy. Also has a great little visual arts exhibition centre within the park called LUX, well worth a visit.

Nice and peaceful. Beautiful views, lots of amenities, spacious and relaxing. A lovely spot in Highgate area for a walk or picnic or even parties, plus there is a sense of community by locals. Love the Lauderdale House and the tennis courts too!
