Waters Edge Hotel

Our family had an incredible experience at Waters Edge. This is one of our favorite places we’ve ever stayed and we are world travelers. We booked 2 rooms- one for 3 young adults and one for the parents. Both rooms were perfect! Some of the delightful extra touches included are in-suite fireplaces which we loved as our visit was in December, fresh baked cookies that melted in your mouth, wine & cheese nightly offerings, a personalized breakfast in bed- all included. The hotel is located in a charming little town with parking, shopping, and restaurants nearby. The staff were absolutely amazing! Friendly, helpful, funny, and always tending to any need. Each floor has a drink station and all the comforts of home. The beds are so comfortable and I loved the pillows so much, I plan to order them for home. The deck offers beautiful views of the bay and boats decorated in holiday cheer. We sat out by the fire pits and reminisced about our travels in SF. So- I would book this place ASAP if you’re reading this review- you will love it here!

We took a girls trip and stayed here and it was incredibly ideal! Marie Lin was especially delightful and showed unmatched hospitality. She was a highlight of our trip! The hotel itself has a beautiful back deck we enjoyed, lovely finishes and an at home feel. It’s not often you have a hotel that provides such a natural environment to meet others and cultivate wonderful conversation. And the wine hour is delightful! I would highly recommend staying here.

Loved this quaint little town! Loved Marie who made us feel so welcome. We loved all the amenities. Wine and cheese at 5:00, Scrabble by the fireplace. A warm blanket on the patio with a fire pit and the ocean view. Marie was there for all our needs! She is superwoman super host! Breakfast in bed, chocolates at every turn. The town is just adorable!

The trip was fabulous because the service was impeccable. Marie at the front desk went out of her way to make sure we were happy. Loved the viewing deck and happy hour ! Fire in the fireplace made our whole experience cosy! I highly recommend it !

Lovely boutique hotel located right on the waterfront with fabulous views of the marina and the San Francisco skyline in the distance. Breakfast of your choice delivered to your room at a time you choose to eat at your table or to take out to the deck. every evening between 5 and 7 a complimentary choice of cheese and wine to enjoy. A proper home from home with great hosts. Tiburon with its choice of shops, restaurants and bars are within walking distance. The hotel is right next to the ferry terminal where you can visit Angel Island or head to San Francisco.

Waters Edge is superb hotel in beautiful Tiburon. From the hotel there is a stunning view across the bay to San Francisco. A friendly atmosphere and a great service make the guest feel well all the time. It cannot be better. Whenever we will return to the Bay Area Waters Edge hotel will be our first option.

We had a great weekend at the Waters Edge hotel. Greeted with an assortment of complimentary wine in the lobby, fresh baked chocolate chip cookies and surprise, an amazing complimentary breakfast served to our room every morning. The shampoo, conditioner, body wash smelled so good and didn’t dry out our skin! The back patio with fire pits was awesome, me sat sipped wine in the evening and met new friends. Definitely returning soon!

Thanks for making my birthday special. The room was beautiful and had a fantastic view of Angel Island, San Francisco, and Sausalito. It's built on a historic dock with great views of the water. The hotel is clean, and the complimentary breakfast was delivered to our room, and it was delicious. The staff is very customer-focused! The hotel has a dock on the second floor to enjoy the beautiful views. I would rate this hotel as a 10+10+++++10! The rooms also have a fireplace. This is a beautiful boutique hotel. It has a dock on the second floor to enjoy the beautiful views.

This is a beautiful hotel in an amazing location with gorgeous panoramic views, great staff, and generous hospitality! What more could you want? Highly recommend!

If you are going to visit Tiburon, you must stay at Water's Edge. Beautiful rooms, wonderful, friendly staff, off-street parking. They also have other properties in Marin. Give them a call.

I loved every minute of our stay at this wonderful boutique hotel. It's on a small historic street that's full of nice restaurants and shops. It's built on an historic dock with great views of the water, Angel island and the city right across. A few steps to the left you will also see the Golden Gate Bridge. What a lovely view. They offer complimentary breakfast to your room. A nightly wine and cheese spread with the most delicious local and imported wines. The best part was coming back to the hotel after exploring the area to freshly baked warm cookies. The smell was all over the hotel. The hotel is clean, has a dock on the second floor to enjoy the beautiful views. Watch the sunrise and the sunset from this spot. It's magical. They have bikes you can borrow to explore the little town. It was raining on and off and they provided us with umbrellas. The customer service was great, friendly and helpful staff. We had a great experience with staff... Malibu Farm is next door so you can treat yourself with the most delicious food at the restaurant or have your morning coffee and pastries in their coffee shop. There are many nice places to eat within a minute or two walk. Overall I'm soooo happy with our stay here and really can't wait to come back.

LOVED staying here for our "mini moon". The room was very comfortable and felt secluded. The shower had good pressure and was nice and hot. The breakfasts were super tasty and delivered on time. We enjoyed filling out our "quiz" the night before and loved the pastries of the day. Scrabble in the lobby was fun after a day hiking the hills. The staff was friendly and thoughtful. Wine/crackers cheese in the afternoons was a hit! Warm freshly baked cookies at 8 were a sweet ending to the day. The fire pit out back was quite nice too! We stayed on the side opposite of Sam's dockside bar, so noise from that didn't bother us. Note - orchids and flowers in the room were from our ceremony, not from Water's Edge. LOVED OUR STAY! Can't wait to come back.

We chose this hotel to celebrate our anniversary and booked the romance package, which included a dozen roses, bottle of champagne and chocolates. Our room had a small balcony with two chairs and a table - plenty of room to enjoy the view of the bay. I wasn't sure when we booked the view king if we would spend time on the deck but we used it to enjoy coffee, to sip champagne and to watch dolphins and seals frolic in the water below. It was definitely worth booking and we would do it again. Nancy and Lupita at the front desk were so helpful and kind from the moment we arrived to the time we said goodbye. Nancy made the best recommendations - and we took her up on her suggestion to try out Servino Ristorante, which was some of the best Italian food we have ever had. Nancy bent over backward to help us with whatever we needed. She's so kind and very driven to help. What a gem! The evenings of wine on the deck by the fire pits and the breakfast delivered to our door each morning were such lovely aspects of this hotel. We also loved how close it was to the ferry and took advantage of the chance to visit nearby Angel Island. This was such a special experience. We will definitely be back!

We enjoyed our time at Waters Edge Hotel! The location was fantastic. Walking distance to just about everywhere in Tiburon. Parking was off-site, but in close proximity to the hotel. Once we arrived it wasn't like we needed the car anyway. Rooms were clean, comfy and pet friendly. The staff were fantastic and were never late with the fresh baked chocolate chip cookies (big smiles on that one for sure)! The included breakfast was an awesome touch as well. And did I mention the view from the back deck.....you need to experience it for yourself!

Not sure why the front desk person Jonathan is always asleep . He must me very tired but every time I see him , he is dead asleep so asking for any type of help Is not happening . Did not want to disturb his sleep .

I celebrated my birthday weekend with my family and couldn't have picked a better hotel than Waters Edge - we got the double queen room on the first floor and it was so spacious and homey, with easy access to the outside. The hotel itself is right on the water and their deck on the second floor is every bit as heavenly as we had read - a perfect setting for wine and cheese hour, which is a must-do. It was so relaxing, watching the boats come in - and there's lots of comfortable seating. When we were up there, there was only a couple of other people so it wasn't crowded and we felt like we had our own little area to ourselves. Warm cookies after 8 pm were so sweet and special! Breakfast was super easy - we ordered through their form and hung it outside the door. The food arrived right on time on a big tray - everything was delicious. Coffee was perfect (I think it was Peets) and the lox and cream cheese for the bagels were a nice tough. A toaster was in our room so we could toast our own bagels just the way we wanted it. The staff were so kind and helpful - and the hotel was super clean. Overall, we felt well taken care of. It's not an impersonal hotel, but a really comfortable place to spend a long weekend. 5 stars for sure!

Stayed here after our wedding in Fairfax so we could have a night to ourselves before heading home and dealing with all of the unpacking chaos. Such a lovely hotel with beautifully managed rooms, cozy beds, and such a peaceful vibe right by the waterfront. A thoughtful happy hour with delicious wines, a very well made breakfast with plenty of options that they'll leave for you to have breakfast in bed, and plenty of amenities whether you're looking to keep to yourself or go out and explore. The patio area is absolutely beautiful in the evening with a fun firepit that is great to enjoy your wine next to. Highly recommended to watch the sunset by the patio as the firepits are turned on! Staff is friendly and helpful. Everything is very clean. Parking is at the nearby lot which is reasonable walking-distance from the hotel, but is not directly connected.

Beautiful amenities and rooms are modern, clean and pristine. Rooms overlooking the bay are gorgeous, including the fire pits outside on the deck that provide for a serene and relaxing evening.

The Waters Edge Hotel is a lovely hotel on Main Street. It's beautiful and conveniently located, with serene vistas. Pros: -The room/bed was comfortable. We opened our windows each morning to a beautiful ocean view, which made the trip. -The breakfast was good. They had gluten free options and it arrived on time. -They offered wine and cheese in the lobby. We took our snacks to our room to enjoy. Cons: -There's no designated parking so it was a tad difficult dealing with luggage. There is a drop off space across the street. Parking is located down the street at the PlayHouse.

This is our 3rd or 4th time staying at the Waters Edge and we always have the best time. First the location. Steps from the ferry wh you can take to SF. Plus Tiburon is just the cutest town w great restaurants and loads to see and do (Blackie's meadow, Caviar Co, Sam's, Left Bank and Sorrento's are our favs). Now the hotel. We love the hotel and all the people who work there (shout out to Nancy, Tom and Anna!). The rooms are super comfortable, many w fireplaces and balcony to the water. It's a boutique hotel so you get a yummy happy hour and breakfast. We just stayed to a week and didn't want to leave. We can't recommend this delightful hotel enough!

Although it's a 2 night minimum, we were able to book 1 night a couple weeks ago. We received a hotel certificate from my in laws & finally used it to hike Mt Tam the day we checked in. No early check-ins allowed so be prepared to wait until 4, which shouldn't be a problem cause it's surrounded by great views & nearby shops, restaurants if you want to pass time. Staff is very friendly & accommodating as can be. They have us a goodie bag filled with snacks & red wine, it was really sweet. Understandable this is probably to make up for the wine & cheese hour they had pre-COVID. Our room was located on the 1st floor which was nice as we were close to to a private entryway. The complimentary breakfast delivered to our room was a great way to wake up.

Very nice small hotel right on the water. Great deck. Right on Main St. breakfast in you room included every morning. Wine and cheese social hour every day. Excellent service.

This is such a beautiful location with a wonderful view and a great cafe next door... I can say that the staff goes way above and beyond to provide excellent comfort and kindness... Truly you will receive the best stay ...

What a fantastic experience we had for my moms 70th bday! We got upgraded to the room closest to the water our view was better than expected! All the staff we so friendly and accommodating and the wine and cheese reception was a huge bonus! We will for sure be back.

Their attention to detail and personal touch is what makes this place so special. It was our second stay here and they made sure to thank us for that with a welcome bottle of wine and chocolates. Location of your room can sometimes be a bit tough. We had requested the side further from sam's, but were placed on the Sam's side. This time, it was not as noisy as in the past, so it didn't affect us. What fun to stop by their 5-7pm wine and cheese with fruits and nuts! After dinner, we returned to warm chocolate chip cookies! Ah, they had me at hello. Bigger bummer was that their spectacular back patio was under construction while we were there. About half could be used, but definitely not as nice as last time. Wished that they had mentioned when I booked, which really wasn't that long ago! Big thanks to Maria for helping make our stay more pleasant, as well as the meticulous breakfast and housekeeping staff! They do an amazing job! Also, you can use their bikes and helmets to tour around if you'd like!!!

This is a three-star hotel with a five-star deck overlooking the San Francisco Bay. The pros: The deck at the back of the hotel has a gorgeous view of the Bay, San Francisco, and Angel Island. You can happily spend the evening out there watching the sun set, or reading outside all afternoon. There is a generous happy hour from 5pm to 7pm with decent wine and tasty cheese and crackers. Breakfast is delivered to your room, and you have many options. I had smoked salmon, oatmeal, a bagel, and coffee. The bed is quite comfortable. Room 213 was very quiet. The decor is Coastal Grandma. The cons: This place is very overpriced. The room itself is dated, with old carpet. The heating and cooling unit did not work, so I was either hot or cold the whole time. The toilet wobbled every time I sat on it. There were two flies in my room when I woke up, even though my windows were closed the whole time. I originally booked this hotel early in the summer but needed to postpone it. But I did not find out until I checked in that I was being charged another $90 a night. I would have appreciated being told that in advance. If you enjoy hanging out on a deck with a beautiful view, then you'll love this hotel. But if you're looking for a luxurious room, this hotel does not deliver.

This is our second time staying at this boutique hotel and once again they exceed our expectations. The minute you walk in the door you are welcomed. They have a complimentary breakfast delivered to your door in the morning and a wine and cheese event every night for you to enjoy as you relax on their large patio looking at Angel's Island and the skyline of San Francisco. They always have hot coffee and water offered all day and night and even chocolates and brownies are available in the lobby. This is in our "must stays" when we are in The Bay Area

This place was amazing. Stayed a two nights and didn't want to leave. Relaxing room, amazing views, delicious delivered breakfast. I would go back if nearby!

My wife and I honeymooned in the area. This place was the BEST. It was quiet, great local restaurants to visit and the ferry to downtown SF is next door. Wine bottles are placed for guest every night plus you get the best views from the deck. We will be back soon!!

We had an absolutely wonderful time here. Check in was easy if you are with someone drive up drop the luggage and go back and park in the local parking lot. The Hotel validated our parking. The service was impeccable and we really enjoyed talking to Tim during the wine and cheese hour. The wine and cheese hour was fun met several other couples and I really enjoyed the wine selection. Loved the room and the view, comfortable bed and pillows. Feels more like an Inn or for sure a boutique Hotel everyone was friendly and helpful. It was rainy most of the time but it didn't matter we still had a great time. The breakfast delivered to the room was fantastic. Until next time beautiful Waters Edge.

We did not stay at here but we were in town and my daughter started feeling dizzy and nauseous so this was the closest place. We went in asking if my daughter could use the bathroom. The manager and Nancy the front desk not only allowed us but they offered cold water and for us to rest on the couch in the lobby. After about 15 mins laying on the couch my daughter felt better and we thanked them, Nancy checked in on us while we were there. Although we weren't really customers they treated us with kindness. Thank you. If you need a place to stay come here and say Hi to Nancy for us, you will not regret it.

I actually really loved this hotel. I usually dislike hotels due to how loud they are. Not this one. The hotel is located in a quiet, sleepy town where everything shuts down early. My room was extremely clean and I could even control my room temperature. The breakfast was not protein adequate and the overall food selection is mid, but for me, it's the thought that counts. The coffee and tea are good enough to do the job. Rooms aren't new, but everything is beautifully maintained and the beds are comfy. Also, the views are lovely and it's centrally located to what I was interested in. I loved it so much I'm staying there again in a couple of weeks.

Beautiful place to stay in the heart of Tiburon. The staff, Nancy and Tom were friendly, helpful, warm and the heart and soul of this great hotel.

We were on our first weekend stay in Marin and the Waters Edge kept showing up as the best place to stay. It's a long, narrow building so from the street we almost walked right by it. Looks more like a (very nice) storefront. Hotel was very clean, it's a small boutique hotel so the front desk person was tending to some other duties. He was back within minutes and was warm, welcoming and full of knowledge about the area. Our room was ready right on time and we were very satisfied. Just as pictured, the room extended out over the water with a small balcony with premium views of Angel Island and the marina. Room is spacious, as is the bathroom. It smelled very fresh and clean when we entered. Nice sized tv, huge comfortable bed. Bathroom was also very clean, stocked with quality products. Restaurants and shops were all within walking distance so once I parked the car, we only took it back out once. Complimentary gift bag in lieu of the wine and cheese reception was a welcome surprise. Best part of the stay for me was the fire pit on the shared deck. There were never many people out there and at night I sat by the firepit alone and blissfully listened to my book on tape. I grew up in Illinois so the 54 degree evenings were too cold for the Californians. It is pricey, but for the location and the view, totally worth it. Quick note, the hotel is located on a small street in the middle of a busy row of shops and restaurants. If you happen to have anyone elderly or that has difficulty walking, just call the hotel and they will give you directions on how to best handle the guest and luggage drop off. Both people that helped us at the front desk were friendly, approachable and great hosts. We'll be back.

A very nice hotel with really nice special touches. The staff treated our 30th Anniversary with Sparkling wine & chocolates. Wine reception every night from 5-7 Warm cookies at 8:00 PM Great views from the deck with a nighttime fire pit. Tom, Jessica & Kelly managed the front desk going above & beyond all expectations.

We had a super stay at the Water's Edge. Due to Covid precautions, they eliminated their wine/cheese evening event, but they provided us with a 1/2 size bottles of white and red each day, which we enjoyed at our leisure. Also chocolates and all sorts of other goodies, along with a breakfast delivered to our room each morning. We had one of the water facing rooms with a balcony, which was lovely. Note, though, that the "public" balcony area is just outside those rooms, which might be problematic for some (though not us). We loved our stay. It exceeded our expectations, and we'll definitely be back.

Stayed here overnight with my pregnant wife. Our entire experience with this hotel has been over the top & exceeded every expectation! From the initial call to confirm COVID precautions, this hotel has thought of it all & has executed it very thoroughly. Upon check-in we were greeted by the wonderful Susan & given a nice care package for our stay (inclusive of a page communicating COVID precautions to keep staff and other guests safe). She instructed us about the free breakfast and since my wife was pregnant the option to get extra of things (which ultimately we should have taken more advantage of). The rooms are very clean and nice; great to be right on the water and on the small downtown strip. We never turned on the TV, because in such a beautiful place what's the point? They have a fire pit on the back patio which was a nice touch to unwind and look at the city from across the bay. All in all this was an amazing stay. However it was Allison who made it incredible, from first check-in she made us feel like home and even gave my pregnant wife a couple KN-95 masks not only for COVID but also for her to not inhale the smoke. The next morning we received the breakfast and it was delicious. They have these little pastries that are heavenly (this is where we should have listened to Susan and ordered more). My wife was craving fresh fruit which we forgot to order and more pastries. Susan not only hand delivered fresh blueberries for my wife but went down the street to the local bakery and brought it to our door. Absolutely incredible service, we both can't recall such great service like this from a hotel. Thank you Allison! When we come back it will be because of you.

We LOVED our stay here. Location can not be beat with the second story deck and views of the Bay, Angel Island and the marina. Plus wine and cheese at sunset, cookies before bed and breakfast in the room. Can't wait to come back for another weekend getaway

Beautiful stay. Felt very safe with covid and room service breakfast was perfect. Tom helped us with using their bikes and giving directions and recommendations. He really made our stay above and beyond what we expected. You don't find hospitality like this anymore!

My boyfriend and I were planning on staying at this hotel over the weekend for my parents wedding. Unfortunately , my boyfriend couldn't make it since he broke his ankle. The reservation was under his name and when I checked in on Thursday, the person behind the desk asked me if he was coming because they needed to authorize his credit card and they wouldn't accept the credit card I had with his name on it which was very odd! We had already paid for the room for 3 nights so why were they giving me a hard time? Who knows! I even caught the lady behind the desk calling her manager and reporting this to her that my boyfriend wasn't going to be there and it was just going to be me in the room. I told him to call and authorize his credit card which he did per the manager's request. What we had difficulty understanding was that why it mattered who paid for the room and why they needed the person to be there and gave me such a hard time about it!! They literally thought that I was scamming them. On the other hand, I wasn't aware that I had to leave the room by Sunday. I thought I had the room from Thursday until Monday and my boyfriend forgot to mention that I had to check out on Sunday. Then all of a sudden, on Sunday around noon, I get a call from the same lady who sits behind the desk telling me that they are going to throw my stuff out of the room if I don't check out. I was in complete shock. I was shaking and felt so embarrassed. I told her that I didn't know my check out was on Sunday and I rushed to the hotel and took my stuff within 10-15 minutes. I wasn't over staying on purpose. I literally had no idea that I was supposed to check out on Sunday and the way I was treated by the receptionist from the beginning till the end was so rude and unprofessional. My parents live in Tiburon and they have told me on several occasions how amazing this place is but after the experience I had here, I will never go back again and will advise my family to never get a room here. The rooms were also a total disappointment. There was water leakage from the toilet and everything was so old and outdated. I have never felt so disrespected and unwelcome until I stayed here. Thank you for your horrible service.

Where do I start? Everything from the service to the room to the location is amazing. I booked this months ago and when we checked in I found a card and bottle of Champagne wishing me a happy birthday! I asked my fiancé if he called and told them it was my birthday and did this he said no. Impressive! I forgot my charger they had one, I forgot nail clippers they had them, bikes to ride around Tiburon they have them! Alison at the front desk is amazing! She is so friendly and gave us fresh warm cookies after dinner. What more can you ask for. They have an amazing wine reception with cheese and fruit and we sat out on there deck and watched the beautiful sunset. I'm writing this a little premature but couldn't wait to say thank you for this amazing time Waters edge Hotel! We will be back for sure. They also offer a breakfast which I can guarantee will be as amazing as everything has been so far!

My husband and I had the best experience here. We enjoyed our beautiful view and patio in our room. Hotel was sweet enough to provide champagne and a sweet note congratulating us on our one year wedding anniversary! The wine and cheese evening hour is wonderful - a variety of wine, cheese and crackers to choose from. I also enjoyed the board games available in the lobby: scrabble, checkers, cards. In the evening, the hotel makes warm cookies for snacks. The location of the hotel is perfect, in walking distance of restaurant and SF Bay view. You are also near the water taxi. The front desk also recommended our dinner date and was gracious enough to make reservations for us. Customer service, beautiful views, comfy beds and room, well worth your money!

Wow! This boutique hotel is ever so charming! From the minute we walked in to the last step out the door the hotel staff were overly accommodating. We arrived a bit early and were welcomed with hot tea on a cold and rainy day and bonus our room was ready !!The hotel itself is very quiet. I would have thought we were the only guests until we ran into others at the delightful wine hour. We came in only for one night (will definitely be staying longer on our next visit) Our room was large and well appointed . Bathroom was large and a very nice tub to soak in. We had a small balcony overlooking the marina and Sam's outdoor deck area. Get the larger room! It was nice to open the door and let the fresh cool air in. This might get loud in the summer but we had no complaints. During the lovely wine hour we could not decide on which restaurant to dine at. The nice gentleman at the front desk offered up his suggestions and even made our reservations at Luna Blu (very romantic) At anytime, the hotel offers diffused h20 , coffee ,hot tea, fruits and cookies. Our complementary breakfast had a nice variety of choices and was extremely satisfying. Waters Edge made our anniversary trip special with a nice bottle of red wine and chocolates. Parking is just down the street in a public parking area. You will get a parking pass to place on your dash and the hotel offers a discounted rate of $15.00 per day. Everything in Tiburon is walkable. The large outdoor area provides beautiful views of San Francisco and Angel Island. We did not utilize the area due to time and rain. Maybe next time! I highly recommend this gem!

From the very beginning Cruza (front desk) took care of us and we really appreciate the excellent service she provided to us. The hotel also had complimentary breakfast and wine and cheese happy hour. My only concerns were the floors squeak so loud and the walls were so thin. Other than we loved the hotel and will be back next year! Belinda

We arrived at check in and along with another family had to wait an additional 2 hours to get our room since at 4:00 It was still being cleaned. The room did not overlook the "waters edge" but instead an ally with garbage dumpsters. While eating our bagel, we had the garbage trucks picking up the trash. Not a pleasant stay.

When we checked in we were given a room that although clean and comfortable was not what I booked. I was devastated with the view of the building next door and not that of the water as expected. Night two we moved to a deluxe king (that had just become available) and the whole experience change to spectacular. There was a sitting area in our room in our own private little deck that overlooked the Corinthian yacht club harbor. Throughout it all the staff was pleasant and helpful I'll be back in a heartbeat.

We loved our stay at water's edge,the location is amazing and the deck hangout place is one of the highlights of the hotel.The staff was very nice and courteous as well.We would definitely recommend this place to stay for anyone looking for options in the marin county.

What a great experience. I'm really not sure where to start. This place has got to be in one of the best spots anywhere. The view is crazy. We were treated like royalty. Loved our little goodie bag at check in and the breakfast, out on the deck, c'mon! The room was a little chilly, but we expected it to be that way. Great restaurants a few steps out the front door. We live about an hour away and we're just here for a breather. Think we may have found our little "go to" place.

We spent 3 nights at this wonderful hotel for our 34th anniversary. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. They were well informed and did all they could to make our visit memorable. They had a wonderful bottle of Prosecco waiting for us. The deck overlooking the bay is fantastic. The room was awesome, clean and a joy to walk into. We can't remember the wonderful girl at the front desks name but we know she is from Germany. This girl is an asset to this company. We highly recommend this hotel and we will most definitely be back. Rick and Libbie Neale.

This place is just a hop, skip and a jump from the ferry. Make your reservations, grab the next ferry and you will be there in 25 minutes. It's a small boutique hotel . . . similar to small hotels in Manhattan . . . only real difference is the service is west coast friendly. This little bit of heaven is right in your own back yard . . . if you live in the Bay area. Friendly staff, great service and rooms. And for Marin (remember I have a thorn in my side about prices here?) the prices aren't bad. Actually for what you get, the price is great!

I'm torn between three stars and four stars. BTW, I love the reviews by my fellow yelpers. Very accurate. Pros: -Wine and cheese (complimentary) during happy hour. Wine isn't anything to write home about, but nice touch. -Breakfast in bed (included in price) -- very cool. Continental, but nothin like having fresh coffee and breakfast delivered to your room while you feel the bay breeze. -Bed was of fairly good quality and large. -View from the public deck facing south is truly amazing. We sat and drank wine whilst looking at the San Fran skyline. Also, moon was out and it was very romantic at night. Big plus. Probably best part about hotel. Cons: -Room basically overlooked Sam's Cafe. Bad. (Room #216). We checked in and all I heard was yap yap yap yap. Drunk yuppies sipping on their cocktails/beer enjoying the sun. I'm all one for having drinks in the sun, but I don't envision that as a great "view" for a room I'm paying over $200 bucks for. Good thing they stop serving outdoors at like 8 PM. I was afraid I'd hear it all night long. -RIGHT below our room, was a public restroom. The janitor was cleaning the restroom at 4:30 AM and it was VERY loud. It woke me up. It shook the entire hotel, especially the fact the guy was walking back and forth on the wooden deck, which reverberates INCREDIBLY loudly....then he was slamming the doors open shut open shut whilst cleaning the bathrooms. I went to the front desk and they basically offered me earplugs. Yeah right. I went down to say something to the guy, then said nothing.....I'm staying in a nice hotel while this guy is scrubbing toilets at 4: 30 AM. He was done by 5 AM, and I went back to sleep for 1.5 hours. Suffice it to say, it kind of sucked. I hate getting my sleep interrupted, especiallly when I'm paying over $200 for a hotel room. -Front desk wasn't overly friendly. I've been to good hotels with friendly front desk staff, and I wasn't really impressed w/ this hotel staff. Would I go back? I'd probably try to sneak a bottle of wine on the upper deck (entrance from below) --- that's the best part of the hotel. Or , pay the extra $100 bucks and get the room facing the SF skyline. Maybe it's worth it???

Originally we had reservations at The Lodge at Tiburon but somehow the reservations were messed up and The Lodge was completely booked for the night. We called Waters Edge Hotel and wow were we completely delighted with our stay with our toddler. The staff member put in a double queen bed overlooking the main street with a balcony. The staff was very nice, hospitable and accommodating. The attention to detail is what made our stay memorable and relaxing. Great fireplace and balcony view. Wine and Cheese hour was a nice treat after being on the road. The freshly baked cookies aroma gave us a sense of warmth. Our toddler enjoyed them. The best part is Breakfast is brought to your room! We took a nice stroll in the morning through the neighborhood and an awesome Paradise scenic drive. We will be back!

I wish I loved this place. I really do, but there are some things I wish I knew before booking this place. I wanted to plan a surprise getaway for my boyfriend and I for our anniversary and I wanted to get the best hotel we've ever stayed at and spent the most I've ever paid for a hotel: $450 Deluxe King room #216. The hotel looks very nice from the pictures and even from the hotel lobby it feels really nice. Cute gift bag and the lady in the early afternoon was very nice. However, once you step inside the room, I noticed right away that these were really old hotel rooms that were recently renovated, but lacked the execution. The bathroom still looks really old. Dim and dark lighting and a really old sink. I felt like I was in a motel bathroom. Worst of all, my boyfriend and I have back issues and always appreciate a hotel bed for it's firmness and luxury. However, these beds were so old that one side of the bed was literally dipped in like a bowl from overuse. I thought it was my imagination until I layed down on the other side of the bed and noticed the huge difference. One side was flat yet way too soft and the other was sunken in like a human size dipped hole. I stayed in that room for no longer than an hour and I had to change rooms. When I walked down to explain the situation, the man behind the counter seemed annoyed or upset in a sense that I told him this and didn't apologize at first. He just went on the phone and told someone about the situation and then gave me keys to their upgraded room #218. I'm glad he gave us a different room, but I wish there was some sort of sincerity or apology about the situation, but no. He called me as we just switched to the new room and asked me to come over to the old room to show him the issue because he couldn't find it. I felt like he didn't believe me which was a little uncomfortable, but gladly showed him and he noticed the sunken bed and I proceeded back to our new room. I thought everything was okay until I layed down again. It was also sunken on the left side of the bed too!!! Definitely not as bad as room #216 but enough for me to notice right away. I switched sides to see if it was any difference and strangely it felt like I was sleeping with my legs slightly raised. It wasn't flat whatsoever. I hated this experience so much that I contemplated leaving straight home within just a couple of hours, because I was so upset with our stay. I knew the room was non refundable so I didn't want to waste my money on the most expensive room I've ever paid for so my boyfriend persuaded me to stay and make the most of it. I slept upside down with my head facing the bed backboard due to this weird hump on the bed and felt like I was sleeping on a hill the entire night. Romantic stay right?
