Watertaxi Rotterdam

Great and fast away to go around Rotterdam!!! Friendly staff and good service !!! The only thing is the app doesn’t work at all! When we tried to book or pay services the app simply doesn’t work at all !!! Too bad , because they loose a lot of business! Specifically on the weekends! But they don’t seemed to care !!!

Super nice ! We juste wanted to use the taxi boat as an activity and it’s not expensive. At night we had a beautiful view of everything. Loved that experience ! (Card only be careful)

Very nice would recommend it, I have been on the watertaxi many times and it’s very handy to go from point A to point B. Every captain I’ve been with was very nice. The boats go very fast but sadly I don’t have a video of that. Only the electric boats and the wooden boats go very slow the electric boats are ferry’s and the wooden boats go from hotel New York to the Euromast. But if you want to go with the watertaxi in a vacation season you probably have to order it from the app. The normal watertaxi costs €5 per zone. For more information go to the watertaxi app

In 2024 we had a good tour and wanted to repeat this with our daughter. That's why I booked a 15min round trip with the speed taxi for 15.14 (no, idea why it was 15.14, even though I clicked 15.15). My husband and us were at the pier at 15.05. Several boats came but they were ferries and no one approached us. 15.15 came and no speed taxi. 15.18 I called the hotline to ask if the boat was coming. The service person told us, it would be there in two minutes. Time passed, no boat. Meanwhile, the service desked had tried to call me back, so I rang again. It was 15.35 by then and we had waited for half an hour. However, the service person claimed the boat was not coming because we hadn't been there which was not true. If the boat driver had been there why did he not approach us? No, apology, nothing.

We used the Watertaxi a couple of times when we visited Rotterdam. Once to get from Kop van Zuid back to the city centre and the second time we booked one for a private tour of the Port of Rotterdam. As a Taxi it was a really fast, convenient and fun way to get from A to B. The tour we did was even better, got to see all sides of the port in about 45 minutes and got a an idea of the enormous size and industry of the Port. Even got to see Jeff Bezos yacht and got to see what all the fuss is all about :-) Both people at the phone, the docking station and the skippers were friendly and helpful.

Oh my, this was so much fun! Only €9 for 2 people to go from Hotel New York to the Euromast, and by speedboat it was really quick. Our driver on the way there was obviously enjoying his job and was a lot of fun. They came to pick us up about 10 mins after calling for a return trip. 10/10 will take this mode of transportation again.

Very disappointed. After booking the trip on the website, I got a call from the service telling me that I just booked it for 11pm. After waiting at the departure place for 30 minutes, I called the number again asking where the taxi is. They told me that they couldn’t find my booking number and couldn’t find the route that I chose.

Great way to get around the Rotterdam harbor. Hop on a taxi. You can take a high speed taxi for about 4-5 euros or ask the skipper for a water taxi tour as a way to see the Rotterdam harbor.

The Watertaxi is a wonderful way to get around. We were on the other side of the river and wanted to go over to the New York hotel for lunch. We went to the taxi stand and within minutes one arrived in a short time we were on the dock. It is reasonably priced and you can use a credit card.

I always enjoyed Rotterdam's Watertaxi - that is, until they stranded my friend and me at stop number 75. If the Watertaxi drivers/captains are going to refuse to stop at dock #75, then they should take it off of their list of stops. You will be able to ride a watertaxi to stop #75, but no matter how many times you call to request a pickup at stop 75, or call to ask where the promised taxi is, you will get no answer other than "it is on it's way". Very frustrating when you see watertaxi after watertaxi zoom by stop #75 and no driver/captain willing to pick you up. In the central area, it is a great/fun service. DO NOT RELY on it for stops far from the center.

A brilliant perk of this incredible port city is this great taxi service on the water! With particular pick up points this is one of the BEST ways to get across the water in Rotterdam and a great way of seeing the city! With several of us on board we zoomed over to Hotel New York which felt so glamorous and exciting! The driver was really friendly and it was just an amazing way of seeing Rotterdam! Where was the Miami Vice theme tune when I needed it! : ) What a treat!
