Pool and hot tub out of order!! We called to make reservation. Reason i picked hotel it had hot tub. They told us it not working after we booked and paid by confirmation email. Not right. Riding motorcycles. Told them on phone prefer ground floor near parking. We got second floor not near parking. Check in was for 4 pm. Room was not ready until 5 pm. Filthy carpet. Hot room. Took awhile to get air conditioning going. Bed not bad. Clean. Otherwise would not stay. Restaurants and beach very close . Walking distance. Very disappointed no pool no hot tub no AMA no senior rates. No discount for no pool no hot tub. Attitude was take it or leave it. Highly recommend to NOT take this room. No view from room at all just another building.

The rooms are nice with comfortable if soft beds. The tv was complicated - unplug everything and then it might work. The shower was not very good and needed some repair. Front desk did not tell us that the pool, spa and fitness centre were closed. The restaurant was also not open for breakfast on the days we were there. Beautiful location with everything in walking distance. End of season is Oct 14 so a lot of stuff was already closed by Sep 28.

Waterton Lakes Lodge Resort is a wonderful place to stay if you’re looking for comfort, convenience, and a true Waterton experience. The location is perfect—right in the heart of the village, within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and, of course, the breathtaking Waterton Lakes National Park trails and viewpoints. The rooms are cozy, clean, and well-maintained, with comfortable beds that make it easy to relax after a long day of exploring. Some suites even come with kitchenettes and fireplaces, which adds a warm and homey touch, especially on cooler evenings. The layout of the resort feels spacious, and the cabins/units are spread out in a way that makes it feel private while still being close to everything. The on-site amenities are a real highlight. There’s an indoor pool, hot tub, and fitness centre, which are perfect for winding down after hiking or sightseeing. The resort also has a restaurant and lounge, so you don’t have to go far to enjoy a nice meal. Staff are friendly, welcoming, and very knowledgeable about the area—they’re happy to offer suggestions for trails, wildlife viewing, and hidden gems around the park. The balance of comfort with its natural surroundings. You really feel like you’re in the middle of nature, yet you still have all the modern conveniences you’d want. Wildlife often wanders right through the village and around the property—deer, bighorn sheep, and even the occasional bear can be spotted nearby, which adds to the magic of staying here. Overall, Waterton Lakes Lodge Resort is the perfect base for exploring Waterton. Whether you’re visiting for the hiking, the scenery, or just a relaxing mountain getaway, it offers everything you need for a memorable trip!

There was lots of parking and it was easy to find the building we were in, from the main building where the reception and restaurant were located. The Front Desk Clerk was professional, friendly, and very helpful. Our room was clean and bright. Unfortunately there were no blackout blinds so it was brightest between 5:30 & 6:00 in the morning. I'd also recommend ensuring that customers be advised, during the reservation process, if their rooms are going to be on the main floor or upstairs, as there are no elevators and the stairs are quite steep. The pillows were half size, and unfortunately, there were no extras available from housekeeping, which adversely affected my sleep. There were plenty of towels and lots of shampoo & conditioner, although the soap had run out, but I had packed my own. The service in the restaurant was great, but it did take considerable time between ordering and receiving both our dinner and breakfast the next morning. We were forced to relax and not be in the typical rush of our daily lives, which was a good thing. The ambiance and music in the dining room were excellent. We even had the pleasure of watching a deer dining on the hanging flower basket outside the dining room window. The menu choices were diverse, and the food was delicious, fresh, and cooked to perfection. Although we wouldn't stay there again, we'd definitely return to the restaurant.

When looking at this hotel online, it looked very promising. When we checked in, the staff were very welcoming and friendly. However, as soon as we got to the hotel, we were very disappointed. As soon as we got to the door of our room, we had to body check the door to open it as it was jammed. When we walked into our room, we noticed a very bad odour in the kitchen. The carpets were stained and had wet spots. The blinds on the patio door were crushed and destroyed. The stovetop was burnt and the counter was filthy. The toilet bowl had remnants from previous occupants. There was hair on the bedsheets and pillow case. The room was hot so we turned on the air conditioning and it smelt so rotten that we turned it off. Then we tried the ceiling fan which had a loud squeaking sound. After a while, we wanted to cook dinner so we opened the cabinet to grab a pot and noticed black mold growing inside the cabinet and on the water pipes. When we went to turn on the water to wash the pot, the water smelt like mold. There was two times in one evening that we came back to our room and tried our two keys on all three entrances and it didn’t work. Both times we had to get staff to assist us. The main entrance door was jammed and the staff had to force it open. Both staff members were very pleasant to deal with and helped us right away. The room had multiple spiders which we had to kill. There were ant traps under the sink. Safe to say we did not complete our stay and checked out a day early. On a positive note the location is central to the town. Everything is within walking distance or a very short drive.

This place is awesome! Our family had our sister’s wedding in Waterton this summer. The weather on the day of the ceremony was awful, poured rain most of the morning. The staff were very accommodating, with the uncertainty of weather changes. My toilet would not flush when I took a break back in my room. We called for maintenance for help, and within a few minutes a staff member showed up to fix the issue. I was very impressed and relieved at the same time. I brought my dog with me on the trip and he had a great time. The Staff were great with him and he felt most welcome by all. I recommend booking your next visit here and bring your family too!

Good things first: The location is amazing, right in the heart of the town, close to city-managed splash pad and playground for children. Our room had a balcony, which was a great area to relax in the evening. We also liked the glass part of ceiling in the bathroom for natural light. The opprtunities: There is a lot here that is not right. The carpets and furniture are extremely dirty. The management says its a 3-star property, but its hard to believe that. The tiles in the bathroom were cracked. The washbasin in the bathroom was chipped and also dirty. Upon talking to the reception, they offered another room, but it was also the same. We were disappointed to say the least.

My husband booked at this Waterton Lodge. It was a birthday treat for 2 nights whilst we were traveling in the area. Whilst we loved Waterton National Park and all the activities and would return again.... the Lodge was overpriced and a disappointment.|The desk staff giving us the key to the wrong room and not acknowledging their error. The 1st 2 storeyed chalet with 6 supposedly deluxe suites, carpet had not been vacuumed for some time. Yes, it had all the amenities stated on the website, but the spa bath was in with the microwave and cooking space. The key to a different suite, once again upstairs was marginally better, with unvacummed carpet in the entrance area. Tired decor, with carpets fraying.|An unsavory smell when entering the units.|Cardboard cups for coffee|No electric jug, but microwave. No plates or utensils.|No tissues. Facilities as advertised but for the over pricing + 12 % tax the Lodge fell far short of expectations to other places we have stayed on this Canadian trip. |Pluses were.... plenty of towels because of the spa baths... which would be perfect in winter.|Plenty of parking|If planning to stay here.... Read the REVIEWS. Which we didn't. More fool us!!!|
