Waterton Lakes Lodge Resort

The lodge is a series of multi unit cabin structures. You have to hump your luggage to your room from the parking adjacent to your cabin as there are no trolleys or valet service. The door on our unit was saggy and hard to open and close. This was quickly rectified by the desk clerk who had the maintenance person fix it immediately. Our room was clean and comfortable with amenities provided, soaps, etc.||Shower and bath was good. Pressure and water volume adequate for a refreshing shower.||There was no complimentary breakfast provided.

Pool and hot tub out of order!! We called to make reservation. Reason i picked hotel it had hot tub. They told us it not working after we booked and paid by confirmation email. Not right. Riding motorcycles. Told them on phone prefer ground floor near parking. We got second floor not near parking. Check in was for 4 pm. Room was not ready until 5 pm. Filthy carpet. Hot room. Took awhile to get air conditioning going. Bed not bad. Clean. Otherwise would not stay. Restaurants and beach very close . Walking distance. Very disappointed no pool no hot tub no AMA no senior rates. No discount for no pool no hot tub. Attitude was take it or leave it. Highly recommend to NOT take this room. No view from room at all just another building.

Definite 3 star hotel. Mostly clean rooms (could do a bit better with the showers and carpet), VERY comfortable beds. A little chilly in the room as the thermostat seems to lock at a high of 22 degrees). Also the balcony doors lock from the outside, not the inside of the room for some reason.

Staff are friendly, welcoming, and very knowledgeable about the area—they’re happy to offer suggestions for trails, wildlife viewing, and hidden gems around the park. The balance of comfort with its natural surroundings. You really feel like you’re in the middle of nature, yet you still have all the modern conveniences you’d want. Wildlife often wanders right through the village and around the property—deer, bighorn sheep, and even the occasional bear can be spotted nearby, which adds to the magic of staying here. Overall, Waterton Lakes Lodge Resort is the perfect base for exploring Waterton. Whether you’re visiting for the hiking, the scenery, or just a relaxing mountain getaway, it offers everything you need for a memorable trip!

Waterton Lakes Lodge was a quiet restful stay! We recently visited Waterton during Thanksgiving weekend. Our check in process was efficient and friendly. The lobby was very clean and nicely decorated and added to the mountain charm of the area. The guest rooms are in separate buildings nestled around the main lodge. The buildings exteriors have been updated and look fresh and vibrant. Our second story room had a beautiful view of the mountains, was clean and had very comfortable beds. We certainly appreciated that the air conditioning/heater unit was very quiet and worked perfectly. The Lodge staff were very helpful when we had any questions. We look forward to our next stay !

There was lots of parking and it was easy to find the building we were in, from the main building where the reception and restaurant were located. The Front Desk Clerk was professional, friendly, and very helpful. Our room was clean and bright. Unfortunately there were no blackout blinds so it was brightest between 5:30 & 6:00 in the morning. I'd also recommend ensuring that customers be advised, during the reservation process, if their rooms are going to be on the main floor or upstairs, as there are no elevators and the stairs are quite steep. The pillows were half size, and unfortunately, there were no extras available from housekeeping, which adversely affected my sleep. There were plenty of towels and lots of shampoo & conditioner, although the soap had run out, but I had packed my own. The service in the restaurant was great, but it did take considerable time between ordering and receiving both our dinner and breakfast the next morning. We were forced to relax and not be in the typical rush of our daily lives, which was a good thing. The ambiance and music in the dining room were excellent. We even had the pleasure of watching a deer dining on the hanging flower basket outside the dining room window. The menu choices were diverse, and the food was delicious, fresh, and cooked to perfection. Although we wouldn't stay there again, we'd definitely return to the restaurant.

This place is awesome! Our family had our sister’s wedding in Waterton this summer. The weather on the day of the ceremony was awful, poured rain most of the morning. The staff were very accommodating, with the uncertainty of weather changes. My toilet would not flush when I took a break back in my room. We called for maintenance for help, and within a few minutes a staff member showed up to fix the issue. I was very impressed and relieved at the same time. I brought my dog with me on the trip and he had a great time. The Staff were great with him and he felt most welcome by all. I recommend booking your next visit here and bring your family too!

Loved this place. Nice rooms, ours had a kitchen which was fantastic. Nothing fancy but great for a national park. Everything is walking distance, the town is quite small. Love that they are open past October when a lot of things shut down.
