Our family visits Watiki on a regular basis, and has for the last 20 years. The last few visits have been such a disappointment!
Waiting in line for a tube has gotten out of hand! You wait 20 mins in line to get a tube, then are only "allowed" to ride the slide once. Meanwhile people are using the tubes for hours at a time in the lazy river. There is no rhyme or reason to the madness.
When I spoke with the manager she explained "they just dont have the man power to blow up more tubes." My common sense screams "get an air compressor!"
I asked if there is a regulation that restricts how many tubes are permitted per square footage of the waterpark. The manager said "I could go get 2 cases of tube and blow them up and there would still be people waiting for tubes." Guess what?? That'd still be less than the amount of people that are currently waiting for tubes.
Let it be known to all, nowhere in the paperwork you sign for the waterpark, does it limit your use of the amenities. So, if you chose to go down the slide more than once, they can't MAKE you pass the tube on. That being said, be courteous and respectful of others that would like to use the tubes as well. Use the tube for 30 mins than pass it on. But this bogus nonsense they have going on right now, that you wait in line for 20 mins and get 5 mins to ride the tube, is poor management.
Also, take into account if you see someone ride the slide more than once before passing on the tube, don't be upset with them. They paid for the amenity just as you did. It's not the other customers that aren't providing you of that amenity, it's the waterpark. It's the waterparks responsibility to supply the tubes, not the customers.
If you went to Golden Corral and they ran out of plates for you to eat on and you had to wait 30mins for clean plates, would you be upset with the other customers eating on the plates? Or Golden Corral for their lack there of?
