If you are traveling in Bangkok, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. It’s a popular spot, and when I was there, the place was completely full, which clearly shows how well-loved it is by both locals and tourists. The legendary soup is a must-try. I wouldn’t say it was the most delicious dish of my life, but it absolutely deserves attention. The flavors are rich and authentic, and it’s easy to understand why it has become such a signature item on the menu. Overall, the restaurant has a lively atmosphere due to its high popularity and large number of guests. It’s an experience worth having if you’re exploring Bangkok and want to try something iconic.

Yummy!!!! Yummy!!!!!! A true Bangkok classic. The beef noodle soup here is deeply flavourful, with a rich, aromatic broth that’s been slow-simmered for decades. The beef is tender and generous, especially the stewed beef and tendon, which melt in the mouth. Noodles soak up the broth beautifully, making every bite comforting and satisfying. The shop itself is very old-school and no-frills, but that’s part of the charm. Prices are reasonable for the quality and history. Definitely a must-try for anyone looking for authentic Thai beef noodles in Bangkok

It was an amazingly delicious now of gao lao. The broth was incredible and the meat was tender and flavorful. I'm glad that I took the time to go. The lady that waited on me spoke excellent English and was very helpful explaining the menu.

I’m Thai and this is my first time eating here. The taste was quite average for me, and the prices are rather high. A bowl of beef soup costs 150 THB, and honestly, compared to beef restaurants in Thailand, there are many places that taste much better. That said, I understand the value of this place as an old, long-established restaurant. The restaurant was very crowded with foreign customers. Parking is limited and you need to find street parking nearby.

I had the famous dish n. 6 with beef and rice spaghetti. It was good and the portion was enough. I was fine, just 100 baht spent. The place look shabby but cleaned.

Visited once about six or seven years ago and remembered it being much better. Returned today only to be served an incredibly bland version of both the beef and the lamb. The herbs on the lamb were not even properly cooked. Such a stark contrast to my previous visit, and quite disappointing. No AC and it’s a very hot place. I will probably not return again. A positive note is the staffs are very polite. THB350 for both Dec 2025

I visited this local-style restaurant and absolutely loved it! Their most popular dishes are No.1 Goat Stew, No.3 Gao-Lao, and No.6 Fine Noodles served with sliced beef, stewed beef, and beef balls — all of them looked amazing. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the food was just as delicious as you’d expect from a Michelin-recognized place. Even though the weather was hot and the restaurant was warm inside, every bite was so satisfying. It felt like having a bowl of pure nourishment and comfort food. Highly recommended!

This beef noodle is very famous and also Michelin star, esp their years of broth. To me the taste is good, but average good, not fantastic one, but having the pot that keeps flaming and shimering all times is another experience. The location is a bit far from Ekkamai BTS, if its not hot, the road is enjoyable to walk.
