Yelp
Charming bookstore right on Oak, wander in and you won't be disappointed! For a small bookstore, it's well organized and has a varied selection, including a children's area in the back, a section on hiking up front, current fiction and non fiction displayed on large tables and lots of treasures in between.
They have a section called "Blind Date With a Book" where the books are wrapped in brown paper and a sticker indicates if it's a thriller mystery, adult romance, family life or whatever. What a clever idea and a great way to promote books from new authors.
They carry cards from local artists with beautiful nature photography or drawn images.
In addition to books, there are puzzles, coloring books and colored pencils, PNW stickers, coasters with funny sayings, even calendars. I didn't realize that people still use the printEd version!
Staff is friendly and helpful. All Covid protocols are followed, which I appreciate. Since it's a small store only 9 customers are allowed in at a time which isn't an issue.
At the cash register there are delicious local chocolates and treats for that spontaneous purchase to go with your new read!
