The Wave brings a fun ambiance and high degree of competent planning to the Jersey Shore. We had a great stay and recommend the place. Special shout out to Jah- Alliah who greeted us at check in / out and handled every request with grace and excellence. ||Pros: Thoughtful design for a beach front hotel. The room we were in was very nice, with an expansive side view of the ocean and very well designed bathroom with a glass enclosed double shower. Plenty of good quality towels, Nespresso coffee and a comfortable bed with an overall beach vibe in the room. ||Great pool area with expansive ocean views, three types of loungers, swim up bar and excellent service- the food and drinks are reasonably priced, a rarity in the hotel. |Superb beach set up of loungers and umbrellas by a dedicated crew located on the beach. ||So pool to beach and back is a breeze at this place. Their wrist bands that serve as identification as a hotel guest also serve as the room key and the elevator security. ||The new Bar is beautiful with some really good drinks, albeit very expensive.||Cons: It’s an expensive place. Midweek rooms are well over $700 all- in, drinks at the main bar are $30 a pop, parking is $55 + tax ( however, the attendant clearly mentioned a nearby self park garage for $35 as an option). ||Overall the best full service hotel on the NJ shore.

I rarely write reviews but the service I experienced at The Wave Resort was truly exceptional. From the valets, to the front desk staff, everyone was beyond friendly, gracious, and welcoming. But special mention needs to go to Madison (Maddie) who works in the spa. She bent over backwards to accommodate our requests, took the time to really get to know us, and make us feel pampered and special. She's one of a kind -- some of the best customer service I've experienced. The hotel's location and amenities are fantastic. All in all, just a wonderful experience at the Jersey Shore. Can't wait to go back!

We had our first stay at the Wave last weekend and it won't be our last! From the moment we checked in we were well taken care of. The facilities, especially the rooms and the new lobby bar, were gorgeous. The beach and pool staff were so helpful and really helped us enjoy and relax. I can't wait to come back with my whole family!

Google
The Wave was the perfect place for our mom’s weekend getaway!!! From the start, everything was perfect - both rooms had beach views, rooms were spacious and super clean, staff was lovely. We especially loved the pool & beach and the great level of service at both. The location is perfect with tons of places to eat nearby and the lobby and bar are gorgeous and super chic. We had an incredible time and would highly recommend for families, friends, couples - anyone who wants some good beach/pool time right in the middle of everything in pier village!

Google
The Wave is an amazing place to stay if you are looking for a beach trip with no fuss. As soon as you get to the hotel you are greeted by the friendly valet and bellhop as well as the kind and warmhearted front desk staff. Check-in was super easy. We got there way before check-in but we were still able to utilize all amenities. Our room was ready way earlier than expected which was great. Beach service is amazing, you just pick a spot and they bring the umbrella, chairs and towels to you, amazing, especially when you are traveling with 5 small kids. The whole experience was a trip to remember. Thank you Wave!

Google
I stayed here with work and my first impressions were that the staff seem invisible. I would go through reception and nobody would say hello, not very friendly. This continued. The resort is nice, right in the beach, good size rooms. One night the music by the pool was on late and kept me awake and stopped at approx 10pm and given how much we were paying that did hit feel right. If I was paying myself I would see this as too high a price hence the 4 star.

Google
The location was great. We could walk to many restaurants and shops. The beach was convenient. Beach chairs and umbrellas were available and Very convenient. We had an ocean view. Rooms were renovated and a good size! The Valet was friendly and quick. Just note not inexpensive to park per night. There is an additional separate parking lot but they charge you to go in and out where valet does not. We would go back! Great hotel

Google
Our stay at the Wave Resort was great. It felt like we were in Miami but with a more family-friendly atmosphere, which was perfect since we were traveling with a baby. The room was clean, and the staff were friendly and hospitable. The pool was warm enough for us to enjoy with the baby, even though it was a chilly and windy day. While the beach chairs and umbrella service were convenient, we were disappointed by the lack of privacy. Other people, not associated with the Wave Resort, were sitting in the designated area, blasting music, and setting up their own umbrellas. If this is not allowed, it should be more strictly enforced. Additionally, on the day of checkout, none of the valet attendants knew how to drive a manual transmission car, so my husband had to retrieve the car himself. Given this inconvenience, we believe a partial refund of the valet service fee would be appropriate. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and hope these issues can be addressed to improve the experience for future guests.

Yelp
When we photographed at Wave Resort, the weather started off terribly but thankfully the venue has beautiful tall windows in their spaces which was perfect for getting ready photos. Their balcony also had a covered area which we used for first look. Because of rain, we also used a few spaces indoors for photos which was fun as their lobby is nice and colorful. Once the weather got better, we were able to go outdoors and use a lot of the fun Long Branch locations like the boardwalk and merry go round. Wave is definitely a unique venue and one that is absolutely beautiful. We really enjoyed working with their staff and they made the day run smoothly for our couple. Looking forward to going back one day! Jenn & Ro J&R Photography www.jrphotony.com

Yelp
My company had a company retreat here, which was enjoyable. Not being a beach or pool person, I didn't take advantage of either. Most of my time here was for dinner across the street and team building on-site. Check in is at 4 PM. I arrived around 12 PM and had to wait about an hour or so for my room to be ready. The room was great and I was impressed all of their cleaning items are Malin & Goetz, which are great products.

Yelp
Beautiful Hotel with beautiful Ocean views, close to town and on the boardwalk. Beautiful pool and modern clean rooms. Would highly recommend.

Jaime H.

Yelp
I was so surprised to check into this over priced hotel and was nothing but disappointed. It took forever for our room to be ready, the pool is tiny, nothing opens until 11am. The elevators were dirty, the hallways were not clean. The other hotel guests were just as sloppy - cups left all over the pool area that no one cleaned up, leftover food in the hallways for days, towels no one picked up. A woman was changing her kids diaper on the white sofa in the hotel lobby and no one said anything. Everything is expensive and the quality is not great. Not only is the place unsanitary but it's truly uneventful. It's actually sad. I would never come back ever again.

Jsin S.

Yelp
This is one sad representation of a resort No beach chairs, loungers or umbrellas after October 1st. Most of the restaurants were also not available during my stay. If you partake in legal recreational cannabis consumption don't do it anywhere near the property. They will charge you $200 for smelling like cannabis. This "resort " will also double or triple charge you so make sure you check your credit card statements

Yelp
It's my second time reviewing because I stayed in the hotel this time around. Last time we just did massages. The hotel is beautiful, location and views are perfect. The rooms are modern, spacious and clean. The front desk staff was helpful for an easy check in process. Overall, a very smooth stay. I did an 80 minute deep tissue massage. Rheena was awesome. She listened to what I mentioned about the areas I use the most at work and really tailored the massage to that. I really appreciated it and left feeling relaxed. I used the Fitness Center. The equipment was clean with a nice selection of dumbbells and a resistance machine. It was small but had all of the essentials with a perfect view of the ocean. The only areas that could do a little better -- it's hard to find reasonable breakfast food. They have the coffee shop but the food selection was like a Starbucks as they weren't offering the full menu. I have a gluten problem so there was essentially no breakfast option for me. Branch Cantina had terrible food which I reviewed separately. That being said I went to the nicer restaurant in the hotel a few years ago (which wasn't open when I went this visit) and their food was very good so during "peak season" the food concerns I had probably don't play in as much. I love Pier Village and I think this hotel has a lot of excellent qualities. I recommend it all around.

Yelp
This past weekend, my mom and I stayed at the Wave resort for a mother-daughter getaway. It was a wonderful one night, two day vacation! From the moment we arrived, the hotel staff made the valet parking process so easy and stress-free. Everyone was so warm and friendly at the front desk. They were able to explain how we could get chairs and towels from the hotel right at the beach. We didn't even have to bring out own. You also get a wristband that is easy to swipe and use for access to the fitness center, spa, and rooftop pool. My mom and I loved laying on the beach, taking walks, and visiting some of the local eateries and bars. We found the hotel to be decorated so beautifully; it was modern, chic, and very well done! Room was spotless, and everything felt like a five star vacation! We also had a great balcony ocean view. The bed was so comfortable, and we got the best night's sleep of our lives. The next morning, we tried breakfast at the restaurant and it was delicious. We got the challah French toast, and it was absolutely divine. The coffee was great, and the woman server was super friendly and sweet. Also, we treated ourselves to a massage at the wave spa. James was amazing! I deal with chronic migraines and after leaving his table, I felt completely healed and relaxed. I was really shocked to see so negative reviews on the Yelp page, because it was truly one of the best beach vacations that we have had! Kate at the front desk was so helpful while she helped my mom book this vacation, that we both desperately needed. She was an awesome person to come in contact with. We can't wait to return soon and I hope to bring my kids this time! 5/5 stars!

Yelp
Went to have drinks at the new bar that opened. Valet said no parking. Why???. This place charges $25 a cocktail and refused valet. So I went someplace else.

Yelp
Looking for a short vacation not too far from home for my wife and my birthdays, we settled on Wave Resort in Long Branch. Having stayed at Asbury Ocean Club the prior year (and being pretty disappointed there), we wanted to try something different and Wave Resort seemed like it had what we were looking for - luxury hotel, right on the beach, ocean views and a bunch of nice food choices both in the hotel and at the surrounding Pier Village. As an Amex Platinum holder, we noticed a couple of days before our trip that Wave Resort began participating in Amex's Hotel Collection. Unfortunately it was past cancellation time as our original reservation was made direct through the hotel so we couldn't cancel and book directly through Amex. I figured it was worth a shot and brought it up to the front desk at check-in. They were able to accommodate us and allowed us to cancel and book quickly through Amex's portal so we would be eligible for Amex $200 hotel credit and $100 food and beverage credit. Really great service at the front desk. Friendly, courteous and efficient. Surprised to read some of the reviews about negative customer experience as we experienced such great service throughout. The room was really nice. We had a Deluxe Oceanfront King with a direct view of the Ocean from a nice sized balcony (again - a far cry from Asbury Ocean club where their oceanfront rooms are mostly street & parking lot, and a lot of neck-craning to see a slither of ocean). Pretty spacious. Nice decor. Balcony could have been a little cleaner but at a beach resort, not too surprising. We had a little issue with Chromecast on the TV but the hotel was quick to send over engineering. Two gentlemen who came were a great help and got us up & running in no time so we could enjoy all of our streaming services on a rainy day. No Room Service yet - I definitely recommend the hotel thinks about adding it. But we didn't miss a beat using UberEats and Doordash for a few meals. The front desk was gracious enough to even bring up our orders most of the time. Much appreciated! We had some small bites at the Boardwalk Cafe off the lobby. A nice bright and airy cafe with sandwiches, croissants, muffins, etc.... Great for a quick bite (and also eligible for the F&B Amex credit). We also had a dinner at Branch Cantina, their Mexican restaurant. Food was very good as we sampled their Nachos, Chicken bowl and Chicken tacos. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great - we had some cool and rainy days, so didn't get to try the pool or the beach, but we walked around Pier Village - a nice upscale shopping and restaurant center. There's a 7/11 right up the block if you need to pick up some convenience items. Two restaurants that we loved were Simply Greek (delicious authentic Greek food) and Turning Point (a good substitute for Room Service breakfast - great eggs/omelets/etc...). Their home fries were amazing! All in all - exceptional guest services - from the Valet, Bellhop, Front Desk, Cleaning Service and Engineering - everyone had a smile on their face, was helpful and efficient, and helped to make our stay a terrific one. We're already planning our next excursion here for later in the summer when hopefully the weather will be nicer and we can get to try out the pool/beach. Forget the negative reviews, as someone who has travelled often and sampled many 4 and 5 star hotels around the world, Wave Resort is definitely a worthy upscale Jersey Shore destination.

Yelp
Staying here for 3 days, so far, the WiFi has been horrible, don't plan to be able to work from here or even scroll insta, it's absolutely not workable.

Yelp
LONG BRANCH: Wave Resort is not only a dog friendly hotel, they also have Yappy Hour once a week at their outdoor Carousel Bar! All animals must be leashed on the property. Every Sunday from 3:00-5:00pm there are drink specials, doggie treats from Doggie Sweets, dog rescues, and beautiful views of the ocean! Check their website for schedule and ground rules.

Angela M.

Yelp
I'm not sure where to start, at first glance the hotel itself is pretty. Our room was stark to say the least the closet was insanely small, the balcony has a gorgeous view l, however there was not even a chair. We were told that we had to request that and they brought up 3 orange plastic chairs. No ice bucket that was also a request only item. No iron, no luggage racks also a request. They clean with what smells like the same cleaning products that are used to clean the nyc sidewalks. No valet assistance with your luggage when departing and then there was a 2 week long issue with the billing. My friends card that was used to book the trip had erroneous charges being billed for week after we left the hotel. Yes the location is great but even at the pool which is small but lovely there was not consistent service which was supposed to be until 5pm. We did enjoy the spa the hostess was lovely and so was the massage specialist. That said I cannot in good conscience recommend this hotel.

Susan S.

Yelp
I had stayed at the Wave once before and enjoyed it so much that I went back for 5 days and booked two rooms for my family. I thoroughly enjoyed the dos, I had the best foot massage imaginable. My son had an exfoliation scrub. Thedpa at the Wave is too notch. The problem I encountered was construction was going on, and I was not told this when I booked the rooms. I have adusabked daughter , so everytime I wanted to go to the beach I had to take her completely arojndthe hotel. Along walk for her. In addition to this, there was constant banging that could be heard in my room all day. To make matters worse, I had an oceanfront room, next door they had a dog, it barked and stuck its nose on the balcony between rooms , so I couldn't even enjoy my coffee on the deck. When I checked in I was given 4 complimentary drink cards to use in their new restaurant. When I went there, they said they didn't take them. I told the front desk, they said they would speak to them. We sent again and the same scenario happened. The food was pricey but just ok. When I checked out I was told because of the inconvenience they would remove 4 resort fee charges off if y bill. This was not done. We spent about 9,000 dollars there, and I can say this, never again. BTW, both roomswere only ckeanedonce, we had one roll of toilet paper, had to ask for it, and no tissues, I am very disappointed. When I returned home, my makeup case, all my medication, and credit cards were missing. What a disaster for me.

Matt G.

Yelp
Pro: - Beautiful view from terrace - clean and modern room Cons: - insane $58 parking fee in winter that is not clearly disclosed. It is buried in an email post confirmation. - inaccurate room listing on partner sites and took no ownership of it. - $55 resort fee during winter when basically all items are closed - "Accessible" Room had multiple accessibility shortcomings. - If you book accessible rooms you loose features like living room that the normal rooms or same category get.

Hemalatha K.

Yelp
I didn't stay at the Resort but attended the New Year's Eve Candlelight Concert, and it was an enjoyable experience. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the Drinks and Food served were pretty good.

Jane J.

Yelp
Had a lovely stay here. Front desk was welcoming, parking staff were great. We had a room with the ocean front view and could watch the sunset and sunrise. Only issue was it was cold. 66 degrees in the room when we checked in. When it wouldn't get warmer we had to get someone to come check the thermostat and then they had to go into the computer to let the thermostat go past 68. Still never really warmed up. Other than that, everything was good.

Robert R.

Yelp
We have been going to the Wave for several years. Parking was always free. This time it was $55 a day plus tax. Major rip off. When I asked why I was told New Management. So I looked into the new owners. It is The Kurshner Group. Yes Jarod Kurshner who made billions of dollars taking advantage of being affiliated with The White House and the most crooked administration in history. I was shocked. Never again will they see a dime of my money. Received a phone call from Craig. Good call. He explained rationale for parking charge. While I still don't agree he was kind enough to credit us for our fee which I did not ask. He also told me Kurshner has owned the property for 5 years. While my feelings about the owner have not changed and will probably keep me from returning I did upgrade my rating to reflect the actual facilities and staff.

Victoria S.

Yelp
I really liked this resort! Had a chance to come for a work retreat and they were sensational. Granted, I didn't partake in the background planning, but everything was flawless. From the room to the spa, such great hospitality and accommodations. In talking with the locals, this is the newer, more upscale part of Jersey Shore (right up my alley) and they did not disappoint. I'll have to come back in Spring/Early Fall to do it all again. Bonus: In visiting the spa, Ingrid gave me a very relaxing full body massage! She got all the kinks out. Much appreciated!

N S.

Yelp
Check your bill! Both my parents and I (3 rooms Total) got charged for an extra night stay upon check-in. When we made the reservation, initially we were charged one night and when we checked in they took a credit card and charged that same night. They asked for proof -American Express provided it and they refunded our rooms, the fact that it happened to so many people Is shady. Be careful!

Madeline L.

Yelp
Horrible guest service, cancelation and check-in process. The hotel told us that they didn't have immediate rooms around 12 noon so they would take our cellphone and call us back when ready. At 6pm, still no call. We go to the front desk and say is there a room ready yet? They told us no. So we said we'll we need to rest - we've been traveling we're no longer going to stay. They still charged us $600 for the night and refused to drop the charges. Im confused if we were supposed to wait there until 8-9pm at night? Their policy protects them, saying that they need more than 48 hours notice or your cancelation is equal to the price you paid for the room (aka still charging you). As for the ambiance, it's upscale geared towards adults but with screaming kids everywhere - including the pool's swim up bar.

Karina U.

Yelp
You can tell they are trying to be hip and trendy but significantly miss the mark there and on customer service. The atmosphere feels weirdly sterile with an almost warehouse vibe. Spaces are too wide open without any comfortable grouped seating to speak with people. All seating is in line with each other. The woman at the front desk was also rude. I had to inquire about dinner options and then she tried to steer me toward the bar down the road even though it was raining outside and the restaurant was open for another 20 minutes. I was there for a corporate event and a number of my colleagues had arrived before me. I found out that every single one of them was on the fifth floor with ocean view. My room was on the fourth floor overlooking the road and there was a barking yappy small dog in the room across so, given those two things, I asked to be moved. I was accommodated to a lower floor but at least with an ocean view but she almost didn't believe me about the dog because apparently those guests had not announced they were bringing one. I almost felt like she didn't believe me nor did she act like she was paid enough to care that there are animals that shouldn't be there as she basically brushed me off like a nuisance. She even mentioned that the coworker who checked in AFTER me had the nice ocean view. Things in common? All the coworkers with the nicer views were male. To say I was offended was an understatement. Also both times I got a room right by the elevator so she definitely had it out for me for some reason. I imagine that's what the high pitched sound was that I heard all night. Good thing I only stayed the one night. Last thing I will say is every room is freezing, as confirmed by my coworkers that their rooms were cold despite increasing the heat and all of our meeting and lunch rooms were freezing.

Adele A.

Yelp
It's very simple: - rooms are tiny - they have the nerve to charge $50/day for parking - no comfortable place to open a laptop in room - no comfortable chairs in regular king room. (Have to sit on bed) - no restaurant in hotel - very overpriced ($900) per night in summer - some rooms face parking lot - staff are not particularly nice. I've stayed there 3 times and experienced the same thing each time. It's really intolerable. Management and owners think they are doing you a favor. Trust me. Pass on this one.

Kevin R.

Yelp
This hotel claims to be a 4 star resort. in order to be 4 star, they need to have a restaurant open everyday. They have 2 restaurants and a coffee shop. Both the restaurants were closed upon my recent stay. non 4 star. They offer NO room services, so basically you can eat there. The coffee shop is a joke. They have pre-made breakfast sandwich's that they stick in Microwave to heat. The are no serves. If is completely self serve and the food is served to brown take out boxes. The coffee shop had 1 employee who was rude and not helpful. The food was terrible. 2 bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich wit 1 OJ and 1 coffee were $40. served pick up style in a brown box. Now the room, it was dirty and not well cared for at all. The light color fake wood floors have burn stains and look like they haven't been cleaned in a while. The couch was badly stained and I would not sit on it. There were no chairs in the room and no table either. The refrigerator could only hold 4 cans of coke and nothing else. There was a coffee maker, but no microwave. The closet space was jokingly small and the gave you 2 hangers. There is nothing 4 star about the wave it has none of the required items you would fine in a hotel. The price is very high and you pay $55 per night to park in an open lot. when we arrived there was a car valet and park you car for $55 per night. however there was no doorman and no valet to bring you bags to the room. They gave us a porters rack and told us to bring the bags to the room ourselves, then leave the rack in the hall and someone would come and pick it up later. By The way you can't bring the rack into the room past the bathroom as the space between the bed and the dresser is only 18". The beds were comfortable that is the one and only think about this Hotel that was good. I would NEVER stay there again and I would recommend no one stay there. A total rip off.

Naomi S.

Yelp
OK, seriously, glad I made my way to this part of the state, just to have met the lovely people at the Wave Spa. I've been to spas. I've gotten good service. This was different. They actually knew what they were doing and cared, even though they were aware that this was a one-off, as I do not live remotely close to them. Shout out to Rheena, who not only gave a fabulous massage, but also advice on how to prevent the back pain I've been experiencing. I felt terrific afterward. A second thumbs up to Madison, the lovely young lady at the front desk who did everything in her power to make us comfortable, including diverting people to other changing rooms so we could take out time showering after. Go for it! You won't regret it. Ask for Rheena.

Brandon M.

Yelp
Been staying at the Wave for 2 weeks. Absolutely beautiful, friendly and respectful! Family is always welcomed! Going to the sister location at the Bungalow Hotel for two weeks next because I LOVE the Wave Resort!!

Denise P.

Yelp
The view is amazing. But, it ends there. Rented a room for my daughter's shower, maitre'd was late and when she arrived, not helpful at all. Dirty dishes and silverware, disorganized and food was sub par. I could go on...Bottom line...Not worth the price. I complained after the event and got no call back. Awful. Just awful. The two stars is for the view.

Rodger S.

Yelp
I stayed on a cold weekend in November. The hotel "discounters" the room rate to $250 a night but charged $55 parking fee. There are better deals in Manhattan! Skip it!!

Jackson W.

Yelp
A very nicely manicured beach front resort nestled within Pier Village at Long Branch. The resort is modern and clean. Some of the amenities include an outdoor heated pool, a spa, kids playroom, fitness center, and several restaurants onsite. The room is very nice. We booked a deluxe oceanfront room which has a walkout balcony that overlooks the boardwalk and beach area. It wasn't cheap by any means, but when compared to the nearby Ocean Place, I'll gladly pay extra to stay at Wave instead. I also like the fact that because Wave only has around 60 rooms, it never felt really crowded in the hotel. Only negatives for those considering Wave are that the rooms are a tad on the small side, and like I mentioned before, it is not cheap to stay at Wave, especially during peak season.

Van V.

Yelp
Two good women friends need a late January spa day and over night get away. The original spa hotel in Long Branch was pretty booked up. So we thought we would try The Wave. A good choice. Modern with many wonderful views of the Atlantic. We had great massages in the spa. Shout out to therapist Emily. Lovely lobby and eateries. Very close walk to many wonderful eateries in Pier Village. We loved the French Avenue's happy hour and The Turning Point for brunch. Darn it we were going to enjoy our balcony! Down coats on and a bottle of wine. Coffee out there for sunrise. Many surfers in the January waves. Long Branch waterfront is in transition. Many luxury condos being built. Still quite a few modest homes. Nice mile boardwalk with Trax style boards. I thought we could get a great weekend deal in late January. Not. They are commanding surprising rates. Looks like week day rates are much lower but we work. We really enjoyed our whole get away and hope to return to The Wave. Looks like they have wonderful top floor wedding venue.

Michael E.

Yelp
We used their hotel / beach parking lot and paid $40. We drove around to find a spot, but realized that we were in the wrong lot to meet up with family that we were already at the beach, so we quickly went to leave and get a refund. The employee at the entrance was really rude and didn't give us our money back. We weren't even in the lot for 5 minute. What a rip off.

JB- Z.

Yelp
Clean, sleek rooms, comfortable beds and pillows. Great family-friendly pool, nice spa, gym, kiddie room. Staff is Excellent-- not more than 10minutes to fulfill any request. Pool staff excellent. Front desk great. Maya restaurant- excellent service & delicious. Only complaint for the resort is the distance between the beds and the dressers-- way too narrow. Especially when you have a wobbly toddler that falls into & gets a bruise from the bedframe that sticks out too far from the mattress (but the website photos so accurately show this). Also, the shower could be better sealed so as not to leak to the floor. Beach is pretty clean, could use at least 1 path to go towards the ocean for carriages , and better communication for beach staff to restaurant (technically there is no food service).

Yelp
This place is a joke turned the heat up To 80 and the room was cold all night heat was not working ! Asked for late check out and the housekeeping comes and literally kept pushing the door w the safety latch on around 11am...11:50 security comes while i was on my way out of the room i was so confused because the night before the guy literally said he will give me a late check out everyone should be on the same page ..... long story less long save your money.

Yelp
Dj didn't take a single request, drinks were watered down and the valley that was payed before hand, was let go early and this was for wedding with no indication that they planed on doing so. As well as them being over charged, this was for a wedding party. If your thinking of booking them, I would look elsewhere.

Yelp
Beautiful beach front hotel. Stayed on the fourth floor in room 418 which gave us a spectacular view The aesthetics of this hotel and Michael's great customer service at the front desk during check in was the most enjoyable part of our stay. Hotel organization still needs much improvement. Nearly impossible to get a bucket of ice. I tried calling the front desk, in room dining, and the number provided in the handbook. No one answered the phone. I went downstairs to the front desk where I was told to go back upstairs to my room to get my ice bucket and bring it back down. After searching the room there was no ice bucket. I continuously called the front desk to let them know but again no answer. I went back down to the lobby where the concierge very easily and quickly got me a bucket of ice (which could've been done in the first place) Around 6 am going on for about 20 minutes was continuous slamming of doors. Hotel should invest in soft closing doors. After checking out at 11am we wanted to hang out at the beach a bit longer. I assumed being a guest of the hotel the beach would be free. The attendant at the beach entrance was not accepting our key card because the card is blank and does not say wave resort. Poor communication. I called the hotel down at the beach and was told after checkout you can no longer use the amenities. I have never experienced this at any 5 star hotel. Prices are comparable to Montauk and NYC rooftop pool hotels but has a considerable amount of improvement to be done.

Yelp
Came for an anniversary getaway on a Thu/Fri, because there are usually weddings Fri-Sun and didn't want to be around any of that. With that being said.... Pros: - Staff was nice / helpful - Nice location - Bed was comfortable Cons: - This place is wayyyy overpriced. - The balcony chairs are cheap and rusty. So bad, that I had to put a towel down to even sit on them. In fact, there are even rust stains everywhere on the balcony floor from them. I paid for a nice view, ruined by a cheap balcony set up. The balcony light that stays on the whole night is annoying, too. - The glass door to the balcony, and all the balcony glass was filthy. Looks like they haven't been wiped down in a long time. - Bathrooms toilet paper roll was broken, and the paint job looked rushed / bad. - The walls are thin! We heard everyone's conversation and showers next to us. I was woken up at 4:30am from my neighbors alarm going off! And all the screaming loud kids / people in the hallways throughout the night. - On the 2nd floor, you hear all the noise below, from the cafe and restaurant, and people passing by. - Valet / parking is an ugly fenced off area across from hotel that looks like a construction site. This place should be more in the $150-200 range a night. Definitely not the current prices they charge.

Yelp
For those looking to book; be aware that all amenities are currently closed, but the Beach is Open. Trying to stay Modern, they didn't fully think things through. The Beach Service needs some Security to keep non-guests away. They are trying to keep 6 feet distancing between groups on their section of the Beach however non-guests come & use the 6 feet space so there is no point. You can act as security and explain to them that this is a private section for The Wave Guests & they may leave but more will come & you become security guard of the Hotel; so you will eventually give up. Then the non-guests that were next to you will just move into using your beach chairs after you leave & the hotel beach boys don't care so it can get very loud & obnoxiously low. Food Service from Buzz Bar is another psychotic situation. You Can't phone in orders bc they have no telephone #, and when their app or web is down; you have to go in to charge bc they do not accept payments over the phone nor take cash on delivery. So no Delivery Service unless App is used. And you cannot modify orders on their App such as noting food allergies. Definitely didn't fully think things thoroughly. 2 Stars for being incomparably Better than the Bungalow. For the Non-Day Trippers to Long Branch, just stay at Ocean Place and keep The Wave in mind as backup if OP is Sold Out.

Yelp
If you're on the beach and you have to poop definitely go to the wave. Walk into Starbucks straight into the hotel lobby and go right at the elevators. (Avoid eye contact with baristas)

Yelp
This place needs proper management. It's currently being run by teenagers. My room was lovely however I was promptly disturbed every morning by 8am from the blaring club like music coming from the pool area. I complained multiple times but to no avail it kept occurring during my week long stay here. The hotel was stingy with the water, which is always a pet peeve of mine. When I am paying over $500 a night for a room you can provide complimentary water. They also price gouge you on the the parking at over $55 a night to only put your car in an open dirt lot. Lastly there is no room service. Lacking all of the luxuries of a marketed luxury hotel if you ask me. Know your customer !!!

Yelp
We had a wonderful experience. Tiffaney Warman is a gem to this establishment. The staff is wonderful . The room is gorgeous with ocean views. The Maya and Branch Catina were delicious. I loved Pier Village's merry-go-round!

Yelp
If I could give zero stars to this resort I would. From the moment we walked in through the doors it was nothing but problems. We booked through a third party website which I understand we got a deal for, but that is no reason for us to have received the terrible service we had. We booked to stay from Sunday to Monday as we had a wedding nearby at 5pm Sunday night. We arrived at 3pm, which is the check in time listed on their website, and were told our room wasn't ready yet. We weren't given a set time, just "15 to 30 minutes", and we told them that we had a wedding at 5pm and would like to get into a room as we needed to get ready and were told we could check in at 3pm. 50 minutes went by as we sat in the lobby, we went to go find someone to see if our room was ready and they said that our room was finally ready at 3:50pm, 50 minutes after check in. We get our keys and head up to the room and as we get to the door we hear people talking in the room. We knock on the door and it turns out they gave the same room keys and room number to my mom and I who also booked a room, even though we were on two separate reservations under different names. Imagine if we had opened the room to complete strangers in there? We went back to the front desk and told them what happened where they barely apologized and gave us a new room. This new room was situated right in front of both elevators on our floor, plus the service elevator for staff, which we heard beeping and dinging ALL day and night. We were also woken up at 8am by the doors being slammed constantly by the cleaning staff (who were understandably just doing their job), but this was very loud. To top it off, we paid ahead of time through the third party website. When we arrived, they asked us for a credit card where they charged us AGAIN. We told them we already paid and showed them the receipt, they removed the charge from our card. Then a few hours later they mistakenly charged us for a second time. As other reviews said, this place is absolutely not worth anywhere near the price. $55 for valet to park our car in a construction site filled with rocks where my care came back filthy. Dirty balcony. Sand on the floor even though we had not been to the beach. Bad service. Cleaning staff waking us up early.

Yelp
Great place to stay and relax. Very clean and well maintained. A short drive from BK and a world away. Ty

Yelp
Beautiful new resort in long branch. Everything was very clean and new of course. The customer service was great at the hotel everyone was friendly and nice. The rooms are a little small for the price. It's very NYC like. Also it bothered us that they didn't have a shelf of any kind to hold anything in the shower. Had to place everything on the floor in there. We had an oceanfront room so the views were beautiful.

Yelp
I agree that the hotel must work out all the kinks that everyone else named (mostly service-related things, like the fact that their valet app does not work and they are slightly disorganized at the front desk). And it is true that the hotel is next to an active construction site which could be offputting and disruptive if you are on the pool deck. HOWEVER, this place is brand new, and upscale boutique hotels are minimal on the Jersey Shore so I am grateful that this hotel is an option and I prefer it to a shore motel. Overall, I think it's great for a short getaway. It's easy to navigate and enjoy, the pool deck is lovely and has food and drink service, and we enjoyed the coffee bar, the casual restaurant, and the higher end restaurant downstairs (though all need service improvments). The rooms are new, clean, and set up well, and all have balconies with at least some nice views. All should note that this hotel caters heavily to kids and mostly families with children stay here.

Yelp
It was expected that it would not be a smooth experience knowing this place has been open less than 3 months. Cons: Check in was delayed to almost 5:30pm, sat around with an infant and cranky toddler in the lobby. When it was time to go to our room, the room was not fully stocked so housekeeping was still in and out of our room to stock the items for the fridge, etc. She felt bad and kept apologizing but I felt bad for her because she looked so uncomfortable continuously knocking on our door to come in. Toilet was either rush cleaned or not cleaned at all, front desk apologized and sent housekeeping back to properly clean. There is heavy construction going on in the buildings adjacent to the resort. Excessive noise and dust everywhere, not very relaxing while trying to hang out at the pool. General staff is very young (possibly high school or college?) who were training new staff of similar age. No internet connection and my sister's phone did not work at all in the room. Pros: Head bellman and manager were nice. Manager bought my sister and I cocktails and gave us a keychain for the wait. Pool, gym, spa and kid's play room were located on the second floor where we were staying. Had dinner at the resort's restaurant, Ebbs Coastal Kitchen, staff was attentive and friendly. Overall good food and good service, a bit on the pricey side but server was very attentive and accommodating to our kids. Ocean view room had a great balcony, got to watch the sunrise and get some great pictures. The hotel was beautiful, has lots of potential. With that said, operations team has a lot of work to do. Lots of the answers to questions and requests were, "I'm not sure, we're currently working on that..." which is like the worst thing you could say. If you don't know then who knows? For the money we paid to stay here, I expected it to be a bit better. 3 stars altogether because the staff was nice.

Yelp
The worst management you could ever find!!! Booked a room for 3 nights at $509 a night plus tax and "resort fee" yep whatever that means...so figure approx $600 a night. Upon check in and going to our room we realize room is way too small for us, I ask to move to a bigger room and agree to pay an up charge. They told me they could move us following morning we had to sleep in very tight quarters. Next morning I speak to a different manager that isn't aware of what was discussed with the other manager day before. This one tells me sure we could move you but you will have to move again following night. First manager forgot to mention that important information!!!! I refused to move 3 times with 5 family members. We were stuck in the tiniest room for $600 plus a night. Did absolutely NOTHING to accommodate us for a more comfortable, enjoyable short vacation. To add to this they never mentioned during check in that parking was an additional $58 a night!!!! Mind you, the manager is the one who checked us in!!!! Would NOT recommend this hotel unless you want to burn some money!!!

Yelp
Quiet, Clean & Peaceful. Had a really memorable trip at this resort. Happy to have found it.

Yelp
i'd say maybe 3 and a half stars. i really liked the property, rooms were very nice although a little small. pool and pool deck quite small as well. friendly staff but the biggest issue i have is this isnt exactly a great value. be careful with valet, the price isnt posted but it's 55 bucks a day. standard rooms in the summer including a mandatory additional 55 resort fee are just south of 800 bucks a night if you valet as well...to stay in long branch. i love the pier village area but its limited, isnt really the jersey shore yet to me at least. but good for a quick getaway for a night or 2 tops.

Yelp
We booked a stay at this hotel on November 26th and checked out November 28th or 2021. Will never go back or recommend anyone else stay either! 1. Way over priced to not get what the pictures show! Our view was a dirt parking lot and metal construction fence with advertising all alongside of it! Minimal ocean view as long as we stayed staring to the left!! 2. They're clearly not used to having many people of color stay there because wherever we went inside the hotel we got "the look" smh never a hello, good afternoon, Goodmorning or how can I help you! 3!! Upon checking out I noticed my business account charged additionally in the amount of $250. I immediately called the hotel to find out what the charge is and was told someone would call me back to explain. Instead I received an email from the night auditor saying the charge was for smoking in the room. This accusation was outlandish because we never once smoked in this room. My husband however recreationally smokes marijuana, which in the state of New Jersey where this hotel is located is completely legal as well as the state I live in NY. He would do this off of the premise that weekend while going out for activities OUTSIDE the hotel and at times use their garbage cans for trash. The only thing I can think of is their housekeeping is taking that evidence from the trash and using that to say we smoked in their room but in fact we did not!! I have now been calling them since the 29th of November to find out what lead them to believe we did this and to have my money refunded to my account but am getting nothing but the run around told everyone from accounting to management will call me back but no avail. I can only think that they have no evidence of this and do not know how to refund this money back to me without admitting they had no grounds to charge me! I have now called once maybe 2x per day since to speak to someone and they are not taking this matter as seriously as I am! One because it is my hard earned money and two because I want to make sure they know they can not make assumptions of people which lead to them being out of hundreds of dollars! I want my money back and an apology from this hotel! There could not have been any evidence of smoke detected in this room and I want them to prove it! Knowing they can not because it didn't happen I want to be repaid immediately and no longer given the run around. I will never stay more recommended anyone stay at this hotel.

Yelp
Never stay here this place is a scam. I'm so pissed there was a hurricane and we couldn't go. So now we can't get our money back... I would give this place no stars but I can't. Customer service is terrible.

Yelp
My wife, daughter and friends had a reservation on Saturday for a spa day at The Wave. They were first time visitors and chose this as an alternate to the Ocean Place Spa which was booked. While the staff made every attempt to be helpful and nice, the facilities are ill conceived and do not cater to the volume of guests they book. Everything in both the women's and men's locker rooms and showers is designed for single users (as in 1 guest at a time sink, shower, etc.) which is literally the most unexpected configuration in a spa that had dozens of guests on site. The relaxation room is a shoe box and guests had to share ottomans to sit down back to back. My wife's party had to take turns changing in the men's locker room which despite having been cleaned was very repulsive to them. The treatment was absolutely lame and the prices outrageous relative to facilities and treatment. We do not recommend this spa for any reason whatsoever - do yourself a favor and book elsewhere so you don't ruin your day at the NJ shore.
