Waverley Hotel

A fantastic quaint place to have a meal. There mid day, placed our order, which came quickly and tasted amazing. Service was great. Unique setting, being one of the older village buildings that once was a hotel. We all loved our meals, ample food for the price. I highly recommend the Butcher Smoked Clubhouse.

What a gem. The food is great, the service was amazing and the ambience is fantastic. They even had swing dance lessons while we were there. We had truffle fries made with real home cut potatoes. Smoked Brussels sprouts and their smoked chicken pasta with in-house made tomato pesto. Their in house desserts were amazing too.

Nutshell version... I went for the food and I was glad I did... It was excellent. No one at the table was disappointed with their food either. I have to give an honorable mention to their gravy... Vegan gravy... I'm like a 'real' deep dark brown gravy kind but I tried the gravy (they don't have brown gravy only the vegan gravy) and, well, I'll gladly have it the next time I go.

Pub food that's really good. The service was pleasantly familiar and we sat on the patio on a small town main street. Generally, informal setting with well prepared comfort food.

Food was ok. Had a chicken burger chicken was smaller than other restaurants I have eaten in but was still good. Update. Went back again and food was outstanding this time. Would Definitely go back again. Great place to stop after a day of riding. Friendly waitress nice environment.

Went for a family dinner on a Sunday evening. Not too busy, service was super friendly and quick. Dinner was very tasty - kids menu is small but we had 2/3 items and they were both a hit. I ordered something off the seasonal menu (strawberry salad) and it was really good. I think the Waverley is known more for their nightlife/music but totally met our families needs for a tasty quick dinner in a casual atmosphere.

We stopped at the Waverly Hotel for a beer and decided to eat there. Food on the menu sounded really good. Hubby and I were really wanting a poutine so that is what we ordered. He ordered the Waverly smoked poutine and i got the Double Pumper poutine. They were both so good. Their food, drink and service was just amazing! Worth spending our hard earned money! About this poutine...It is HUGE! We could have split one for 2 people! But so good. The Double Pumper was my favorite for sure. I am not huge on the smoked flavour (referring to the Waverly Smoked Poutine) but hubby thought it was delish. Stop by the Waverly if you are in Cumberland!

We stopped by for some drinks and fries! I got a spicy ceasar and it was super spicy and delicious! The olives were the best addition. Fries were a bit of a disappointment half of them were hard little stubs… the aioli was decent!

Best smoked meat in town. Very underrated restaurant. Cause wow it was delicious!!! I would highly recommend giving it a try!

Service was decent but food was horrible. Table of five, all of the meat on each dish was inedible and tough. Burger was so overcooked and burnt. Pork was tough. Chicken overdone and hard and beef bites weee tough and fatty. Gravy absolutely terrible. Great atmosphere and good service. Used to have good pub food in the past but not anymore

Wide variety of yummy food, fresh beer on tap all in an amazing heritage pub! What more can you ask for?

100% the worst burgers in the world. Dense, Leathery, Flavourless, Dry.... Service is prompt and friendly though!! And I like the cold labatt blue on draft. The other meals are not bad. Good fish and chips and poutine. Burgers need some serious help! With some proper coaching. I hope they can be fixed.

Went to the Waverley after a recommendation from my father, but unfortunately a bad experience with one of the servers put me off of the place. My wife was feeling a little under the weather, and had her head down on the table to avoid being sick, and one of the servers came by and rather unhelpfully chided her that if she had her head down, the establishment could face a fine from a liquor control officer. May give some indication of the type of clientelle they get? Given the alternative of my wife vomiting on the floor, I feel they got off lucky. The food was adequate, if uninspired pub fare with large portions. Due to the attitude of the server, won't be back.

The live music at the Waverley has always been great! With the new sound system and new menu we love it. The food is so fresh and delicious! Well done

After a less than stellar try at another place, I found it to be burger night here. Burger was great. Server was prompt and asked but didn't try to shove a drink down my throat. The burger was house made. Juicy and the fight fixings. Made me happy. The crowd was by far the best in the valley. Want to check out some bands there soon! They seem to have a good lineup of acts coming through.

Love the atmosphere and the staff are great but the kitchen staff have to learn how to cook in the last 6 months the quality has gone to hell

Interesting decor with lots of old photos of the area. Service was fairly good but a little slow for food only one waitress for 16 - 20 people. Beer selection is better than I thought it would be. When we got our food it was good & served hot. I had pulled pork san & my wife had one of their burgers. Both came with home cut & fresh fries. Worth coming back for. If I lived here it could become my local watering hole

Our favourite place to eat in the valley. Reasonable prices, very delicious food, quirky decor. Our favourites are the smoked pork tacos (legitimate smoke flavour) and space nuggets- some of the best fried chicken we've had since going to the south years ago.

Ate there with a large group recently and had a great time. Attentive and friendly wait staff, great atmosphere, and a solid menu that does not disappoint. I had mac & cheese with pork and it was absolutely delicious. Everything else on the table looked great as well, and everyone in the group of about 20 had nothing but good things to say. I'm not local to the area, but my friends that are say there's great music on a weekly basis. If you're in the valley, definitely make time to stop by The Waverley.
