Octavio checked us in and was very friendly. We got a nice room facing the mountains. Very nice garden with olive and granat trees. Pool needs some update as you can see the paint is coming off. Very clean, comfy and cozy place. They offer complete breakfast, for my surprise tere was couple of warm dishes too. Only one negative point that you can hear everything what is going on outside your door. The rest was perfect, would come back.

5 nights to repeat! We got to Wawa late evening by taxi from Tarifa. We were given a room in the main building but 1 night after, changed it to a bungalow to have a bit more privacy. All Super clean and comfortable. The building is nicely decorated and during night the sunset is lovely. To get to the beach, you need to cross the road by foot and that is something tricky sometimes. There is no pedestrian walk at all around there so you need a car/taxi. Breakfast (included with the room) has everything you need, and within a nice and accommodating timeframe. There are no cups for the coffee so you need to grab a glass. (That is something to improve). The fruit is fresh and delicious. We had 3 dinners as well. Price is moderate, portions are nice and big and taste is great. We recommend the fried squid and the pizza. Ismael, from reception, was súper giving advice on our next trip destination; Sala great waiter! and we got to meet the owners who were very smiley and friendly, even gave us 2 Wawa cups as souvenir. Thanks so much!

Location: Located 10mins out of Tarifa City - around 10-12€ in a taxi - Wawa Tarifa is in a beautiful setting with a giant hill (to small to be called a mountain) behind the property and over looking the beach situated across the road.||Service: Although reception was not open when I arrived, the staff of the hotel were as helpful as can be. Erika was able to check me in and made sure I was comfortable while my room was being made up. The restaurant was not open for dinner being the Off Season which was annoying given the cost of a return taxi to Tarifa. Breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold items, but no staff attending the restaurant.||Cleanliness: The room was very clean with crisp sheets and spotless bathroom.||WiFi 🤣: 📶📶📶📶📶||Conclusion: Staying here in season would be best as you have the facilities to take advantage of and potentially save on taxis to and from the city. The room was beautiful with a large full shower not in a bath, the bed was comfortable and I certainly recommend the beach view rooms.

Very well positioned hotel within walking distance to main surfing spots and within 5 min walk to the beach. For spain an excellent breakfast both terms of quantity and variety. Good rooms with space, balconies and generous bathrooms and for me good beds and pillows. Stars off for: - the very poor doors to the rooms; zero soundproofing from the doors. There was thankfully not too much going on so it was quiet both in the corridor and the bar, but when someone walked by I had the Impression they were in my room. - Secondly, rooms facing the mountain get the kitchen odors as soon as the wind drops. Not cool. - Finally, the bar and restaurant while nice and of decent quality are massively overpriced! 11€ for a mojito in spain is nuts, but thankfully there are many options close by.

We booked (4 friends) into the family bungalow, 2 bed rooms and a sofa bed, just for 1 night. We were very happy, comfortable, clean and just perfect for what we required. ||The reception staff and restaurant were pleasing and very helpful, breakfast varied and delicious!||2 minute drive from the beach.||Would definitely recommend!

I like this kind of hotel, its in more vintage style and sitting in the main house it has a very warm touch. In the morning when the music is playing softly It has a special feeling of holiday. The breakfast is sufficient, the bread taste well and the musli as well. The only improvement is a coffee automate to prepare cappuccino and a stronger coffee. Thats it. The people are very, very friendly and you always you get a warm Ola …thats why I get a good welcome feeling, not anonymous as in other hotels. .Surprisingly for a small hotel you can get warm meals in the evening and the spare rips are tasting fantastic, never had so soft spare rips, nor in bavarian nor in cape town. Reaching the strand in 10min walk aside the street or in 1-2 min by car. The rooms are from smaller size, the bathroom and shower big…the only recommendation I can give is in the bathroom 2-3 hooks more to hang on your stuff, the same in the sleeping room…but thats it….

This place is located about 5 km before reaching Tarifa (arriving from Cadiz) and was difficult to find, but maybe due to the rain or our old TomTom or because we figured out that it would be located beyond Tarifa.||||Ocean Tarifa is not what you would consider a ‘classic’ hotel, but neither would we call it a “lodge”. It consists of different small friendly looking houses, painted in white. It is a very young project with lots of opportunities which, at the time we were there (May 11 2017), was not yet completed. In fact people were still working to complete the garden and surrounding lawn so by now it will probably be even more attractive.||The complex is conceptualized by young enthusiastic people. That is what we believe because the staff consisted of mainly friendly young men and women. ||We stayed in the ‘main house’, larger than the other houses and with several rooms. The corridor on the first floor and the rooms were made of ‘minimal’ simple material but set up really very originally.||By chance that evening a special evening party was organized with young people, coming from as far as 100 km far, and dressed very elegantly. We were invited for a drink. The next morning they apologized for the loud music which really had not bothered us. The breakfast was a delight as shown on their website.||||We can’t say much about the sport aspects of this place. We were directed to the nearby ocean which is known to be the place to be for water activities. What was going to be a 15 minutes walk took us much longer. Never mind but the road was actually not so safe, so keep in mind to use the side path as much as possible. All by all, a new and good experience.

I spent the last 4 summers in this hotel and always had a great time, mostly because of the familiar atmosphere and hospitality which Andalusia is so well known for! This year the hotel manager changed and I am still wondering how such an incompetent and unfriendly person can run a hotel. When I arrived, I was looking forward to take a bath in the swimming pool, that was also advertised on their website, but I was told that there was a technical problem with the pool. The man who "fixed" to pool told me, after asking him what exactly happened, that the pool is not broken but the hotel management just decided to paint it. WHICH TOOK THEM THE WHOLE TIME I STAYED THERE... So, no pool at all!!||I was tired from the long journey and disappointed that there was no pool, so I decided to order some food in the restaurant of the hotel. Which turned out to be one of the most complicated things during my Spain holidays. THE RESTAURANT/BAR IS BASICALLY ALWAYS CLOSED, and the next restaurant or supermarket is quite far away! It seemed like the staff of the hotel was always hiding, to avoid inconvenient questions of all their customers. When the restaurant finally opened, the disappointment was even bigger. The choice between pizza or pasta does not match at all with the quality of food that Andalusia has to offer. Not having any other choice, I ordered a pizza which arrived after 3 hours and was completely burned! At least they made a new pizza for me, but my first afternoon and already ruined. ||As part of the redecoration of the hotel, they cut most of the beautiful trees down, which has the effect that there is not one cm of shadow. Maybe this is a way to encourage the clients to enjoy the new air-conditions in the rooms and not disturb anyone with their presence! This was the feeling I had.||After a lot of burned pizzas and warm beers without gas (the beer tap did not work either), I was relieved that my holiday was over! ||I was never treated worse in any hotel and I personally think that this WAWA "Hotel" is a disgrace for Tarifa and whole Andalusia. ||There are so many nice people and places in Andalusia that will make your holiday an amazing experience, so don't fall in this WAWA trap and loose money and patience!||Find some other hotel and have a great time in Andalusia.
